Alex, great time lapse of the entire event. I did one of just the camera view - I did not include my all sky or other software windows in the time lapse. I did notice that the Mon appeared to stay pretty well motionless in the time lapse. I on the other hand had to occasionally tweak the position of my AP mount (set to lunar rate) as the lunar disk was drifting very slightly to one side. Were you using any sort of quidding on the lunar disk to keep it so well centered?
Thanks Jack, I took a look at yours as well...great stuff. I envy the seeing you guys had for sure. I struggled with clouds and bad transparency through it all, not to mention the -8 degree temps. But i'll take it since it wasn't even supposed to clear up and it did. To answer your question, I was not guiding, although consistently i find both my EQ-6 (Atlas) and my EQ-5 to both be stellar performers when it comes to low periodic error. I too was tracking at a lunar rate and found I was adjusting the moon slightly up and right throughout the night...but not much beyond that. The mount was drift polar aligned 9 years ago...and i only occasionally do a two or three star alignment whenever i bump into it...lol. Keep up the great work you do buddy!!
