      💯% Agreed! To do otherwise is to knowingly continue creating unnecessary confusion and panic which I was under the impression crosses more than one or two legal and moral ethical boundaries. In this current age of people freely yelling "FIRE" in crowded theaters. Craven dogwhistles in the news. Voters favoring a racists and self proclaimed fascist. Convicted criminal narcissists who never once admitted a single error on his own part but instead claims those attempting to bring him to justice are somehow all conspirators linked by some conspiracy to a political opponent he did not even have until the the charges against him started and he decided to run for office in an apparent attempt to outrun the conviction by being elected for a second term. A move someone like hime who knows to use every single maneuver available at his disposal. Moral ethical or otherwise Most often otherwise. This is his M.O. beyond a single shadow of a doubt. 🎤 🎶

      While I do agree with you, it has also never at any time in all of human history been easier to find information needed to make good decisions - and the easier it gets, the worse people seem to do at it. People need to stop being so helpless that they can’t even be bothered to look at what’s available to them. You’re not wrong - Google and other platforms DO need to do a significantly better job at basic things like this, because it will be humanity’s undoing if they don’t, and just leave things that are easily fixable unfixed because it means more money for billionaires and more ignorance and less money for ordinary people who are not extreme exploiters by nature. But let’s also make sure we keep pointing out how incredibly easy it is for those ordinary people today to be better today than they were yesterday. Otherwise it’s only the pathologically extreme exploiters that we’re helping to further exploit us into our own oblivion.

    • @IdiotDoomSpiral69
      @IdiotDoomSpiral69 21 день назад

      No, that electricity is static electricity built up and released by the friction of the volcanic ash (and some of the moisture present) molecules rubbing up against each other in the plumes. Energy "fracking" (not really an appropriate term in this context) with volcanoes HAS been done, but it isn't "zero-point energy", it's geothermal energy. Just plain old heat. Zero-point energy is just the lowest state of energy that matter can have and is only really meaningful when talking about quantum mechanics, not volcanoes and human electricity production.

    Went to Stromboli some years back intending to climb the volcano with a local guide but had to be taken off the island within 12 hours due to an incoming storm. Strange though that sounds there were concerns they wouldn’t be able to get me out for several days if I didn’t leave straight away. I was actually the only person staying at my hotel - with no staff - as I went out of season. It was kind of eery but also an adventure sat by the pool alone at night watching the volcano smouldering. The return to the Sicilian mainland took around 12 hours in awful weather since the hydrofoil that can do it in two hours couldn’t function in such bad weather.

    Italy is well known for its volcanoes, and Sicily has always been on the receiving end. You see, Sicilian volcanoes are extremely active including Mt. Stromboli, and Mt. Etna. On the other hand, Italy has been known for quiet volcanoes as well. Mount Vesuvius has been absolutely quiet since 1945 when it last erupted. Then there's the super volcano Campi Flegrei which last erupted in the 1500s. It wasn't a big eruption but it still happened.

      there is a way to save yourself from pyroclastic flows, namely hiding in a bunker like in the 1902 Pelee volcano eruption, where someone who was in a closed bunker managed to survive despite being burned.
      But on June 14, 2006, when the walls of the Gegerboyo crater (crocodile's back) of Mount Merapi collapsed and the lava dome collapsed towards Kaliadem forming a pyroclastic flow, two people hid in the bunker. They thought that what came was just a pyroclastic flow, but also a lava flow that buried the 15-thick bunker. meters and roasted the 2 people to death, and finally the Bunker couldn't be a shelter anymore.

      @@nocturnalsimulacrum6385
      then for Mount Semeru, the large eruption was caused by extreme rainfall which eroded the hot lava dome, as a result the lava dome collapsed like a landslide. Because the lava dome was still hot, the avalanche turned into a pyroclastic flow of enormous avalanches beyond a distance of 14km and destroyed a bridge Gladak Perak which is 13km from Semeru Crater.
      Mount Semeru eruption December 4, 2021
      Initially, hot lahars appeared which was very smoky and thick like castings, then the first pyroclastic flow appeared which reached Sumbersari (~ 9km), after that a large pyroclastic flow appeared which slid up to 14km causing the Gladak Perak Bridge to be destroyed which the lava flow buried settlements far away.
