I should’ve known you were either Mormon or Adventist. You sound like you have a pure heart. I agree about living abroad. I lived in Asia and explored it a bit for a few years and came to Europe (Switzerland) for grad school. I’ve now visited over 130 cities, towns and villages in this country and over 30 other European countries and scores of places around the continent. Congratulations to you and your bride and greetings from Switzerland!
Thanks so much for your kind words! That’s so awesome you’ve lived in Asia and Europe. You’re well traveled! Where did you do your grad program in Switzerland? That sounds like such a great place to study!

It's so nice to hear your story especially your internship in Switzerland because I also did it last year! It opened Europe's door for me. It's also the reason why I created a channel to keep my epic adventures around Europe and all my favorite Swiss adventures! 😍
You're living my dream! Travelling to many countries and living in different ones for short amounts of time and meeting your wife somewhere where you didn't grow up. Glad I found you. Very inspirational!
With finding your channel recently and seeing some of your destinations to which I now want to travel, as I never thought of before seeing your videos thank you for that and you found your soulmate, that is beautiful and what life is all about sharing with someone special, take care.
Awesome images, Ryan. Good to see such wonderful images during this quarantine. It's really interesting to get to know other countries and cultures. And your choices of places are some of my top places to go, such as Grindelwald, the Dolomites, Zakynthos Beach. Nice to know that you have made it at such a young age. I only don't know if I could do theses cliff jumpings. They give me a thrill in the spine. Take care dude and congratulations on your marriage. I wish I could have an interesting international job related to humanitarian issues too.
@@RyanShirley I'm Brazilian based in Rio de Janeiro. Interesting coincidence is that I was just watching some videos and documentaries about the Dolomites this week, taking as a start point the beautiful view of the church of Saint Madeleine in front of those mountains which I think is one of the most scenic pictures that I've ever seen and remembered watching one of your astonishing videos that included beautiful images of the Dolomites some time ago. In fact I was going to try to find them again this weekend among the videos that I liked, but it could be quite a hard task. Some things seem not to happen only by coincidence, sometimes these coincidences are so exciting that they seem to be somehow connected by the invisible hand of the destiny, as today you posted this video that also included the place. I'm also used to see here from time to time groups of young mormons generally from Utah, always wearing their ties and white shirts. I believe it was your case, isn't it? If not, please forgive the possible mistake. I'm pleased to see that you have profited of that opportunity to exchange experiences with many people that live in worst conditions, specially those you showed in Latin America, and also understand that real happiness can happen in these places despite their worst socioeconomic situation. I guess I'll have to let the cliff jumpings to another life, 🤣🤣🤣, I'll be pleased just by having the opportunity to watch them personally. Have a nice weekend.
@@RyanShirley And just for the record, just remembered I had recently also watched a video about a roadtrip between Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen... Good coincidences.
Wow thanks for the videos, so full of energy and love of life. I was a Mormon Missionary in French back in the early 80's, made some life long friends and gave me the travel bug too.

Hi Ryan, I love watching your channel, everytime! Congratulation you meet your soulmate during travel. Do you have any suggestion which country in Europe I could visit sometime in Oct/Nov this year? Considering the Covid-19 pandemic, few safer options based on cases would be Austria, Greece, Norway, Morocco, Finland, Luxembourg. Which one you recommend? I travelled to Swiss before so perhaps to see something different (by the way I agree Swiss is a great beautiful country)
Hey Rizman! I’d say Norway or Greece would be amazing places to go! Both are great places for nature and you could get away from the crowds! I’m jealous your going! I’m going to try to go this August!

I have a great story. When I was a kid, my father was a special US Navy liaison to the Spanish Navy and we lived in Cadiz, Spain. The navy shipped our car over that my parents had just bought used from Hertz...with Utah plates!, even though we're from California. Anyway, we ended up befriending more than 5 Mormon missionaries who saw our Utah Nissan Maxima and knocked on our door, homesick as heck....and we're not at all Mormon. It was nice. Before 9/11, military didn't get local license plates.
That's awesome you were able to live in Cadiz! I recently found out about it and its a beautiful city. That's a funny story about the mormon missionaries as well! The mission is hard, so its always nice to find a good friend like yourself on in a foreign country! Do you live in the US now?
Mate, just letting you know I really like your videos and have been watching every single one. Only one thing though - can you make sure the music audio when it plays by itself is the same level as your narrative? In every single video, I have to bring down the volume when you switch from narrative to music and bring it back up again when you start speaking so I can catch what you're saying... 😞
Thanks man for watching them!! That’s a great suggestion, I always have a hard time with my audio, so I’ll make sure to lower the music level when I switch! Thanks again, where are you based?

What’s up Joy! Thanks for coming over! Where is the favorite place that you’ve traveled?
Ryan Shirley that’s tough but I would say HaNoi Vietnam!

bro you inspired me to go travel look
Ryan Shirley, great precise feedback! Love your advice👍🏼 I hope the travel restriction will get more relaxed from Aug onwards so we can start travel. All the best with your next destination and look forward to watch next videos!!!
Respect bro! 🙌👍
MILAN MURLI thanks man! Where are you from?

I’m just impressed on how fearless he is about heights 👀
Haha I need to stay away from heights! 😅 where are you from brother?
Europe is amassing place to travel. And yeah, travel alone is liberating
Couldn’t agree more! Are you from Europe?
@@RyanShirley No, I'm American, but love Europe
Wish I did that when I was in my 20s
don't, just do it now )
Hi! loved the vid and all your work, seriously some amazing shots. I was just curious on how you got your internships abroad!
Hey! I did some research and contacted them directly by sending them a email and a resume of my work! They’re are a lot of internship opportunities out there :) hope that helps!
Hey man I was wondering what sort of drones and cameras you use to record? Your videos are all super high quality and interesting! Thanks for doing what you do.
Hey Linus! I use a Sony a7sii for filming and DJI drones are the best in my opinion
@@RyanShirley thanks for the answer! I'm looking into getting into cinematic drone flying or at least drone flying in general, and wanted to know if you had any tips on getting started?

Thanks so much ☺️
I have a great story.
@@RyanShirley I'm based in London but from Vietnam mate. Would love to travel with you some time - let me know when you're around! Feel free to check out my latest video as well - we make the same content 🤟

Hi Ryan, great name, by the way, my firstborn Son's name also, meaning little king, as you probably know already, you have done so much already,
Great video as always take care.
Hey Ryan, I'm curious how you managed to land all these internships and afforded to live in all these places? I just found your videos and I found them awesome and inspiring! Thank you for sharing.
Hey! I had a portfolio of videos and I sent it to them! And for my internships, I was either paid or they covered my housing costs so it was pretty affordable, just had to cover food.
I absolutely loved this fucking video.
Thanks Jorge! Where are you from?
Ryan Shirley florida, moving to Spain 2021 for business reasons. Can’t wait to travel all over Europe!
you are truly a person of substance. i love all your mission work. you did Jesus' work and He took care of you. and now you are successful and living your dream. your videos are awesome and thanks to you , i can visit places i will never be able to. @@RyanShirley excellent. because when i watch your videos, it makes me feel close to God and i tell Him how beautiful His world is. i mean how AWESOME His beautiful world is so THANK YOU for letting me see it. i look forward to your future vids.
Well done on dropping your plans for uni and staying with your girl man, not many people will have the courage to do that, I know I don't. Just one question, did you ever travel to any of these places in Europe alone or always with someone?
Thanks Edward! It was worth it! And when I was in Europe I’d spend most my time alone, but I’d have friends fly out to travel with me for a week or two
@@RyanShirley Ahh I see, I travelled to Berlin and Paris by myself, just kinda made friends as I went along as they were quite busy cities. However, all these places look absolutely amazing yet I don't wanna go alone as I fear I might end up getting bored or lonely at some point.
being Digital Nomad is the way to go. Congratulations to you & your new wife, btw. ;) P.S : I'm guessing Europe will be fine to travel to in about a month/two from now.
Digital nomad is the best!! And thank you! The borders opened up yesterday, but if your from certain countries such as the US we’ll probably have to wait until July or August
It's awesome to hear about your life so far and how you got to go travelling while still studying and earning money. Hope to do the same one day
