7:44 He relates to kids better than most adults. Some adults forget what it was like to be a kid. It's the rare instance where him being emotionally stunted is an asset.
She also has a second kid that either does or doesn't exist. Office ladies podcast talks about how they keep going back and forth on the continuity of her kids.
LMAOOOO I like how the left side of the couch was jamming out to the intro song while the other side of the couch was just like “yep, these are our friends” 😂😂
The extended “Superfans” version of this episode has a scene at the end that was cut that I really wish they left in. Michaels in the conference room alone after everyone’s left watching the rest of the episode of the tv show he was on as a kid and there’s no sound, but you can see him telling jokes and making the other kids laugh and high fiving a few other kids. one girl comes up to him and whispers in his ear and he in turn looks and smiles at another girl. And both young and old versions of Michael just look so happy. Which I just think is really nice and inspires some hope that maybe things will turn out okay for him and he’ll still get the friends and family he always wanted.
4:24 "the water" just as Jim says "the ocean" INSTANTLY reminded me of when Dwight as manager asks where trees come from and Kevin answers "forests" just as Dwight says "soil" LOL
They actually are wrong about that. Latchkey is an after school program run by the YMCA, like a daycare for older kids that usually operates in a designated space at the school, like the gym or cafeteria. I was in Latchkey until 6th grade.
@@timkillian1469 YMCA started that program and named it for the kids they were targeting, i.e. Latchkey kids (kids who would return home from school while adults were still at work). Not sure whether Dwight was just calling him a Latchkey kid in general or if we're supposed to infer he was in a latchkey program after school. Either way, messed up thing for Dwight to make fun of a kid for.
I’m almost positive the boy playing Meredith’s son also played a misbehaved kid that Charlie thought was his son in an episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He was definitely type cast at the time haha.
Kids can be challenging, but I love them! They’re so funny and they get so excited for the simplest things which makes you see the world in a cooler way.
At a sleep over my cousin was such a hard sleeper that my little brother just stood on his all his weight lol. I will never forget that I was like wtf how do you sleep through someone literally standing on your head.
I just realized that the kid hitting Dwight’s stuff @8:04 mark is the same kid they used in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at the end of the movie.
I didn't think it was possible to make A PUPPET look uncomfortable😬 &/or sad😢....but they managed. So props to, I guess, the puppeteer & little Michael. For me that scene had everything...It was hilarious🤣, cringe factor, through the roof, it made me uncomfortable but empathetic for Michael for the 1st time
the office intro from you guys is AMAZING!!!! you need to use that every video you react to for this show. maybe even start out the video with that, haha AMAZING rendition!
I know I'm late to the party but I love how u all goof off, I personally enjoy the singing with the theme at the beginning, makes me laugh my butt off!
The permission Meridth was ralking about was to bring her SON to bring your DAUGHTER to work day. It wasnt a custody thing. She even said he has school suspension, so she didnt have to pay for a sitter.
I wouldn't believe Michael could be a boss in real life if I didn't have one just like him. I spent half my time fixing his mistakes but would let him do the interpersonal stuff, which he was great at until they got to really know him. Then I'd take over that stuff, too.
i love wen the intro song comes on and the whole coutch loses its mind, its like you all go into a trance xD i kinda wish you could do that every epi it gets me so pumped to see the show XD
8:37 I don't think the moment was improvised, but I think most of his rant at Ryan was. I don't think "Boy, have you lost your mind!" was in the script.
The airplane story happened at my work place, except I don't work on an ariplane. It was 2020, this kid puts her little mask down on her chin and licks the counter of the COVID treatment reception. Beeeautiful
My mom worked at a clinic that was right down the street from my middle school so everyday was basically bring your child to work day. The best part is my family moved to that neighborhood from Puerto Rico and Spain in the 60s and never left, so when I ever stopped by to visit my mom it was like visiting family cause most of the people who worked at the clinic were the same people who treated treated my aunts and uncles when they were kids, and besides my mother my uncle and elder cousin also worked there. There was this huge wall they have inside the waiting room with pictures of past patients and staff, I shit you not like 70 percent of that wall was just me and my family members. I should really stop by there and see if any of the staff are still there, at the very least take a picture of the wall as most of those pictures are either limited copies or the only copies we have still existing of certain family members
They are always talking over jokes/scenes all the time. They practically talked over the "littlekidlover" joke. This show is a goldmine of subtle but hilarious one-liners. This group can be hella annoying at times.
I was visiting friends at a different college once and was spending the night at the apartment of this couple. We drank a lot as usual with many friends, and I woke up in the morning VERY hung over. My hosts were totally out cold so I decided to walk to their local diner for coffee and pancakes. The very cute waitress was ALL smiles and VERY kind to me and I had a great meal. Then I went back to see my friends and asked if I should go back to ask her out. They laughed their asses off and told me I might want to look in the mirror first. I was worried about a pimple or crazy hair or something, but apparently the night before, someone had covered my entire nose with red magic marker...
I've never been more enraged about something than watching them miss the "Boy have you lost your mind cuz I'll hlep you find it." It took a lot of patience to not dislike this video.
The way the puppet just silently turns to the camera after kid Michael’s response is the funniest part.
That was some next level puppet acting. A glorified sock was at a loss for words, and I totally felt it.
@@johnr4164 patreon, they have access to the videos before everyone else.

This was my first episode of the office ever and Stanley’s “Boy have you lost mind cause I’ll help you find it!” is my most quotable line
Stanley and Creed talk the least but have the most quotes lmao
I could only wish to actually use that one day.
I think it was improvised.
7:44 He relates to kids better than most adults. Some adults forget what it was like to be a kid. It's the rare instance where him being emotionally stunted is an asset.
Meredith got permission because it's take your daughter to work day, not take your son to work day. Not because she doesn't have custody lol
thats so funny i never realised that
Although she probably shouldn't have custody at this point 😅
@@malealoo Depends who the dad is... and knowing Meredith, it was probably whoever lost Rock, Paper, Scissors and didn't get to hold the camera.
@@malealoochill, she’s getting her PhD in psychology. 😅

Boy have you lost your mind? Cause I'll help you find it!
Remains one of the funniest office Moments to this day
Came here to say this, hats off to you
I can hear this comment 😂
Random fact: In the script it just said “Stanley yells at Ryan” and the actor who played Ryan was scared.
I love how the office fans always present any random thing as "fun fact" cause they don't have anything to comment....

@Darkstaryou don’t like Pat, cool. That’s your business.. but don’t put it on others just because they don’t have the same take as you do.
"Boy have you lost your mind cause I'll help you find it!" Is the best quote.
The right side of the couch acted like the left side of the couch just licked the plane chair during the show's intro 😂

Yeah.. I always love hearing the discussions they go into after an episode! Sometimes I have to wonder where the subjects come from though 😂

To be fair, being yelled at by Stanley would be terrifying😂😂😂

The couch is perfectly divided, now I know how the seating arrangements are made 😂 4:47
11:28 If you ever wondered what a puppet looked like when they heard something shockingly sad, this is it. That puppeteer gave an amazing performance.
Ok, this was my favorite opening theme song interpretation I have seen so far.
Chris' airplane story at the start had me cryin laughing
I'm with Spidey: I'm great with kids but I just don't like them. 😂
Don’t worry guys I did the same thing with the intro song for every single office episode too it’s just so damn good lol
The reason Meredith needs permission is because it’s supposed to be bring ur daughter to work day
The scene with puppet is what made me love Micheal as a character
I love how split the couch was singing the intro. Lolz keep rocking it gang!
I just can’t with Stanley yelling at Ryan 😂
I’m definitely the left side on the couch during the intro. Or in their perspective the right side. I love you guys!
