I can tell it was a slow lap on that motorcycle i did it only for the sticker 😂
Glad you survived!
Me too 😅 i hope it will be better next year then I will bring my 350z og wish for dry weather 👌👌
Love the content all ways a big smile after watching your videos 👌👌
@@TheRalle1807 thank you for the kind words!
my dad did the same with his mini lol
How scary was it
It's amazing that even with that tyre combo you were still pretty damn quick. Honestly, I enjoy the wet laps that get shown here as I believe my wet track day time has taught me 3x more than any dry time ever could. Totally thought that at the end of that lap you'd go straight into a 2nd lap because of 3 reasons, 1st you had a better understanding of just what the tyres could do, 2nd the queue of vehicles waiting to enter 10 minutes after the opening of TF had gone so you'd get a clearer lap and 3rd you'd found an owner that had a given you a car with plenty of fuel for a change. ps I ride all weathers on my bike and over the last 30 years the technology in bike tyres has advanced much more than that of cars, possibly about 5 generations. We ride much more on silica biased compounds now than on rubber, so if you use a road focused tyre over the track types, you get a really good level of grip, control & feel in the wet and my pace on wet track days is only 30% slower than when in dry conditions
Interesting, thank you for the insight!
This is a great lap. I love the fact that yall are both still very calm even when the car hydroplanes or the back loses some of it grip. Just casual conversation and such.
Great lap, super fun to watch! Thanks Misha!
The content has been 🔥 since your surgery!! So glad you came back even stronger than ever!!
The car owner was so chill all things considered! 😂 Great lap.
That was a fun tricky lap! Very interesting wet lines looking for the grip! 🤘
great content as always. I learn so much here
11:33 114.000 kilometers , nice milestone
Well done! Semi slicks and rain! Awesome and Fun!
It was so interesting seeing the lines you were taking on this lap. Had me nervous a few times with early entries and wide exits in places I didn't expect, but it shows that it is the proper way to do it in the rain. Not a fast drive, but I really enjoyed this video 👌🏻
Great lap, great owner. Even he is learning the wet lines. Very nice to see he is thrusting you with the car.
Love this car. Amazing build
I really enjoyed this one. thanks boss
Intressting to see basically my own car on the channel, very nice!
I'm here safe in my chair at home and I was clenching in every turn. Kudos to you gents!
looking to see you driving this beast in dry condition!
+1
Needed this video 5 Days ago ;)
A great car!
It looked a bit different when we picked it up together....
Thanks for letting me drive it before the upgrade, Sören.
The earliest I've been to a video🙂
Pretty impressed to see what‘s possible with semis. Last year I had a scary moment on the autobahn with 60 kmh hitting standing water. That gave me sweaty hands. Ok the rears were more slicks then semis….
Misha i think u have to put a sticker right on the camera mount which says "REMEMBER TO TURN-OFF THE STABILITATION!" 🤣
Great Lap!
The Master at work in the wet. From my armchair it looked so easy. Thanks Misha.
Misha, could you do a video explaining about wet lines on track?
Thats a nice cupra, hope you guys record again on a hot and dry day!
I would love to watch a video about the wet lines as I have a lot to improve about my wet track driving
hopefully there can be a dry run in Cupra soon. Soren is one cool dude. thx for the wet driving tutorial as well Misha.
Bro! You can drive anything like it’s a drive to the market 🤣🤙🏽🤙🏽
As a biker I think you have to take your brain out to ride in the the dry or wet fast. I personally hate riding in the wet at any speed.
You are the type of motorcyclist that will actually live a long time and can enjoy the hobby. You need to be 100% paranoid at all times in all conditions. The chances I see these sport bike riders take is reckless and insane.
@@creamfalcon yeah some people are morons and give bikers a bad name
It's me on the motorcycle and i did a very very slow lap and only for the sticker 😂😂
@@TheRalle1807 mad man 🤣
I guess you've never driven a motorcycle with raintyres. You'd be surprised how much grip you'll have. They're actually more predictable than street tires.
Nice Car, Sören
Wet laps look incredibly fun 🙂
That seemed fun!
this was very interesting to watch, it does indeed look silly following the wet line
I don't know about the tyres BUT you had the best car colour for low visibility conditions 😄
I use R888’s as rain tires and practice tires. They’re pretty comparable to AR1’s. Wet driving is the best driving I love it. Not for the faint of heart.
That generation Cupra R is pretty cool 🔥🔥
One cold dreary autumn day here in the PNW when I was a teenager I was on my favorite road while it was absolutely POURING, stuck behind a much less confident driver with out of state plates. I had of all things a lime green Prius behind me, obviously just as frustrated as I was, about a foot from my bumper. The person in front turned off early and I picked it up hard cause I wanted to get some distance between me and the Prius. This rain was so hard there was standing water in the ruts made by tires over the years. If you were in the ruts going over about 50mph, you were hydroplaning. I then got into one of the most intense street races of my life with a lime green Prius. Every turn accounting for hydroplaning as it was happening mid-corner, and having to catch the car when it got grip again on the other side of the ruts. The Prius was with me the whole time. I've never met another person in my decade of driving that impressed me as much as that Prius driver. I've played that 5minute period back in my head so many times as it was only after that I realized how completely foolish such a thing is. Both of us were essentially one fraction of a second away from basically dying and potentially taking someone with us as it was a public road. That being said, it's probably the most thrilling thing I've ever experienced.
My favourite generation of Seat Leon 🔥
the ugliest generation of all... without a doubt I'll stick with the mk3.
@@DaNNy_DodgeSpain Everybody has a different taste , i love ETCC races and as a kid i watched this Leon racing and i falled in love 😆
@@MartinK26 hahaha its a different world xD We thought the same about that car, but the street car seems much more beautiful to me, the mk3 R, but as you say, for tastes...
That was awesome, showing the wet line & having a great laugh along the way, but definitely would like to see this green devil back again to show what properly modified means, it's not just go faster bits, Rj in Oz
Did my first wet track day last week, unbelievable the difference in grip off line
great driver in rain Misha
Fun, definitely fun.
And there's us standing by the diner at the end deciding whether to go out ... we did, and fun was had. 😁
Nice!
I quite like it without stabilisation, awesome car
Glad I wasn't playing the Misha drinking game, heaps of overtaking done, Rj in Oz
SemiSlickRick
Glad you didnt slid’ In nu DM bro.
Such a fun ride...
Remembers me; the most fun man’ has in the wet..
Provide save rubber next time i recon..😁✌🏻
Looked at the clip on tiktok, had to jump directly to youtube *ferrarimoment - wrong tires* 😁
such an amazing lap, lot of overtakes, must have been difficult when some don't know the correct line...
and as you have to overtake on the left. Sound of the car was also cool, a lap to enjoy !!!
Hoping aswell You get the chance of driving it in the dry to see the potential of it.
*Finally Adrian...what ?* not the correct camera for the job 😋😋...would have liked to see a slow-mo from outside...maybe next-time !
Glad you liked it!
Good video
Not a flying lap, but a floating one.
i drive a smal car (C1, aygo, 107 etc.) and the moste fun is in the wet.. as that is when i learn stuff ;)
Nice. I hate driving in the rain. Wrote off a MK 3 Golf GTI in the rain. And wasn't even going fast. Fantastic lap.
Sorry to hear that :(
@@mgcharoudin that's ok. Was years ago. 👍
What a bizzare line
good rain drive😎😎✌✌👍👍😁😁
Ik kan mij nog jou RCN regen race op slicks herinneren, dus dit was veel makkelijker.
Actually i think the fact that the camera had some movement in the digital stabilization was actually better than havving it "fixed"
I just witnessed the odometer hitting 114,000 km congrats
_AAAH CAN'T TURN, NO BRAKES, DON'T DIE oh look a rainbow_ :v
Have a great day everyone!
i cant get over that the speedometer says 0-300KM"H". : D Happy Søren had this car here, im so baffled, 300? really?, Audi take notes : D pls.
Very interesting to see the wet lines
My st170 is on falken semis and its such a blast in the sopping wet
I can imagine😍
@@mgcharoudin Hopefully one day someone brings you a mk1 ST, such a good platform! Id love your take on mine but there’s an ocean separating us haha
Interesting to see how well the AR1 cope in the wet, I'm bringing my set plus PS4 just incase!
PS4 are really great in the wet!
@@mgcharoudin hopefully won't find out 🤣 but also good for running to and from on to keep the Ar1 for track time 👍
Nice wet lines, i guess the asphalt on the outside of the corner is rougher and water doesn't accumulate on the surface.. inside of the corner gets hot and has rubber from dry racing so it's smoother?
Close. Rubber from the dry days is like ice on wet
the wet line does look odd 🤓
14:48 look at the speedo D:
16:14 Driving through one end of the rainbow 🌈
I did that once, normal light, then everything was golden all around, then back to normal light. 😳
Next mod: wiper blades;-)
Uniroyal tires.
Hey Misha! sorry to bother, I can’t seem to find a definite answer. Can a American, ship an American registered car (my personal car) to Germany and drive on the Nurburgring? Or do I need a German license, registration, and or insurance I’ve heard there’s is a 6 months rule on this? Id love to experience the track in my car after the use of an instructor of course!
You can, plenty of people do that. 6 months rule is probably correct. You just need to make an ATA Carnet.
@@mgcharoudin thanks Man, i’ve only been to Germany a few times. Not too familiar with their laws outside of the EU. Can’t wait
The Seat Leon Cupra R is a great car?!
Rainbow!
Hey Misha, Why is the outside of most corner the best line in wet at the ring? Can you explain it pls
The inside is covered with rubber from dry days and it's like ice
Had the same experience karting in the rain at Spa. 🤣 i was overtaking my friends and they were like... dude wtf 🤪🤪 great feeling when it sticks even in a downpour.
@@mgcharoudin Thanks for the explanation, that was one of my 2 possible answer. I thought it could also be because of groove in the racing line full of water.
You forget to set your camera every video I watch. You need to write it on the back of your hand or something, it's easier then editing in an apology every time or you probably have it copied to just paste it in you do it so much lol. Anyway still love the ride alongs so thank you.
wet is fun, teaches you a lot about handling, people seem to think its a death trap or something... stop abusing that damn throttle and u will be good haha
Hey Misha, what's the theory behind staying on the outside of turns in the wet? Does water pool on the inside of corners causing hydroplaning? Curious to know
Basically, you're staying off the racing line, because that's where the track is polished smooth by cars pushing hard in the dry. There's also the issue of rubber being laid down in the same places; it makes for better grip in the dry, but it's very slippery in the wet.
Enough rain and driving will eventually clear the rubber from the track surface (a single wet VLN race will do it), so some grip will return, but the polished parts remain.
A good rule of thumb is to be off the racing line by half a car's width, which will keep you out of the 'dry' wheel tracks. In parts of the circuit like Wipperman, where many different lines are taken, Misha was very conservatively staying in the middle of the track.
@@handpaper6871 fascinating. Thanks for taking the time to reply
@@handpaper6871 the explanation that I was looking for. Thanks
11:33 114000km!!!
@Misha Charoudin SInce i saw the ASTRA OPC AT 3:55 . Please Misha if you find someone with one of this stock or not . I WOULD REALLY LOVE TO SEE A LAP AND YOUR OPTION ON THAT. They are cheap and i belive they have some track potential.
I actually drove it
Lots
You may have seen wipers like that on Mercedes’ cars for the last 60 years
I see people slowing down really dramatically when being passed, but that doesn't seem to be required. Is it courteous or overkill to do more than move to the right and maintain a safe speed?
It's actually dangerous in my opinion
two things, big shout out to all eurpeans that speak english and also, i hate driving in the wet! Us english are rather lazy when it comes to learning languages.
That would be great to see you under a heavy rain with rain tires pushing the car at its limits...
Absolutely!!
Can anybody write here, name or code of this paint?
The paint code ist (L)S6E or Kiwi Green 👍
@@srdrenk thank you so much.
@@srdrenk i found amarillo green, is that right?
@@MatejMasny could be but Amarillo should be (L)W6Y. Don’t know if these colours are similar

Is that car stock? Why is drinking so much petrol?
That's what all the cars do when you floor them
@@mgcharoudin I dont know, iam 37 years old and I just had 2 cars in my life , second hand both and around 100 hp each.
Misha: I've noticed when you drive in the rain you can't hit an apex for your life. Maybe you should take a professional driving course ;-)
I hope this is a joke
@@mgcharoudin OG winky face. I saw you take the wet line during rain for pro training on the 'ring. Bad Misha. You definitely missed the apex that day too!
