Been collecting one piece since I was 12 technically, I’m 26 now. I remember the first volume I got was from my middle school librarian haha. Me and my small group of friends would wait in there for the boys turn in the lunch line. They divided it up by gender and grade so we went almost last. I loved the series almost immediately and now I just went and got the last few single copies to catch it up, what a ride.

it's not shortage but more like novelty. same like limited edition items or vintage game cartridges. they would only keep producing such items for a period of time.

Managed to get box 1 and 3 for about 90-95 each (converted from Canadian dollars lol) which I’m very happy with considering I happened to see those prices randomly on Amazon
I started watching One Piece in May of 2016, now I am caught up with both the anime and the manga and I have always wanted these box sets! I want all the individual volumes because I absolutely love Oda's style of drawing them, I love how colorful they are. In my country the box sets are not available right now, but that's ok because I don't have the money to buy them, lol. They are almost 200 dollars, which is so expensive here... But I will get them eventually, probably after the end of the series, when I will have my own money. I love One Piece so much, it's the best piece of fiction I have ever experienced, the best story ever told, a masterpiece.

Started watching the 4kids dub of Onepiece in the early 2000s during cartoon networks Onepiece Maaarrrrrathon and I was hooked immediately. Being the early 2000s it was near impossible to actually watch it all, and the 4kids dub only covered through Alabasta. Years later I picked it back up and started watching again from where I left off and I was so amazed by the sheer quality of the arcs. When I got to thrillerbark i got a bit confused as everyone was talking about some whale and figured i must have missed something. Years later i would find out that 4kids in their wisdom had removed Laboon the whale entirely from the series and replaced him with an iceberg. Nice one 4kids. Anyway I've loved Onepiece since i was a kid and upon buying the three box sets a few years ago i fell in love all over again. They proudly sit in my collection and i absolutely adore them. I will say dont discount the omnibuses for looks. Seeing them all together at a store a while back, they look absolutely amazing next to each other. If you are looking to buy these boxes, wait for around christmas and check sites like bookdepository etc as a lot of the time you will see discounts of like 40% off which will save you a crazy amount of money.

I say just get what you can, while you can! Back during late 2019, it was way cheaper to buy the omnis. I bought all the omnis at that time, and 10 or so were used in excellent condition and those used ones were around $2 each! I saved so much. Personally, I prefer the box sets for complete series rather than buying multiple sets for one series.

There's just something about collecting physical copies of manga that can't be beaten... Funny enough, I've gathered quite a collection of manga series but I've actually not read 95% of it all, because up until now reading has given me fairly bad eye strain. But I just got prescription reading glasses fitted today!! So without a doubt I'm going to start digging into Manga Mountain very soon! I just caught up with the anime of One Piece after watching again since 2019 after a long hiatus at the Zou arc back in 2017. I find these days I don't have the energy to watch more than 2-3 episodes or I just start falling asleep. Anyway, I caught up today! Since the anime has had a special place in my heart probably from around 2005, I thought to celebrate my catch up I'd start collecting the box sets and start from the very beginning in the manga! I'm very keen to get them - so much so I'll delay building my new gamer rig to buy the manga, with money I was saving for a CPU with haha.
I've managed to get both box set 1 and box set 2 in the restocks over the last couple weeks! So excited!! Just waiting for 3 and 4 restocks and hope I get lucky with those two as well!

Crazy that these seem to be sold out everywhere over in the US. I have just ordered all 4 of these box sets in the UK with no problem at all, for around £95 each. I guess manga isn't as popular here haha
I just wish my country had the culture of publishing manga box set too, when we deal with long series like the big 3 it becomes such a struggle to find the volumes. Theres the 3 in 1 editions too but if you live in my country or places like it, theres a pretty high chance they become really expensive as the volumes come by, or they will be IMPOSSIBLE to find on the next 5 years if you not actively buying.

I got the 4th box set for my son which btw started when I was a teen. I think it exciting he likes something I enjoyed when I was young. I did not pay a crazy price for it and got it on sale. So don't buy crazy, be patient.
Oh gosh, the difficulty of finding Box Set 3 is absurd! Box set 1 and 2 are easier to find and way cheaper. I was able to buy mine in Ebay just recently. Hopefully box set 3 becomes available again.
You guys should have bought them a year ago, I got each one on Amazon for around $120 each. The prices kept fluctuating at the time so I waited till each one was at its lowest and bought them.
I have all 3 and I pre-order the 4th from bookdepository. I also have the Bleach, Naruto, Claymore, FMA, Death Note, A silent Voice, Alita and Rosario+Vampire. Box Sets are great but I don't get the vertical ones like the FMA and Bleach. I can't put them on a shelf so I store them on the floor. I would like for more series to have box sets.
I personally care about spines/smaller volumes. The omnibus spines are only Luffy, that's not good at all. Plus, the colors of the singles compared to the omnibus. If you ONLY care about price, go for it. But singles are better in every other way imo. The box sets discount them to like $5-6 a volume anyways!

I have the 1st one Piece box set at home(I got it March) and next week I will get the second one from book Depository (they are finaly back in stock). I have been waiting for these about one year😅😅. I hope I can collect all the box sets in this year.
Well, I bought the first three box sets an year and a half ago. I preordered the 4th box set. But I just can't wait for the 5th, so I bought individual volumes from 91 to 96 and I am kinda up to date. But I didn't stop there, no, no, no... I ordered the original Japanese volumes from Japan. All from Vol. 1 through vol.90, which of course cost me a fortune, cause the shipping price to my country was something like 40$ per box set. And there were like 9 box sets, so.. yeah... I didn't regret though. Japanese copies looks much better on the shelf.

I bet it feels a little weird. However my appreciation for the series and enjoyment out of it is huge. Not only that but I got my 8 year old cousin in to the Anime recently. He absolutely loves Sanji. It's so freaking amazing to know how it influences several generations of people.
I think my 2nd box has the original SJ logo In my box set 3 one of volumes cover print wasn’t so good a bit like your volume 68 but the front is more on the spine.
The issue I have is space. I have read 66 volumes digitally because if I tried to put all of the volumes on my bookcase I would have no room for my other comics and figures.
I already reserved the box set 2 & 3 from a seller- but I am a student ( I AM 16 BTW ^^ ) so I can't pay all at the same time. HAHAHHAHAHA I cannot wait for it to come home. My mom bought me the billy bookcase for my starting manga collection and I'm so excited!! I CAN'T seems to find any op box set 1 in any webstores in Malaysia :( but ik that book depository will eventually restock it. I can't really buy on amazon bc the shipping fee is too high LOL. When I collected one piece I first got the first few volumes as a gift so I never ended up getting the first boxset and I just bought the individual volumes. I got the 2nd and 3rd boxset but I got those long ago and they were not pricey, After that I collected volume by volume once I caught up to latest volume because the fourth boxset hadn't even been revealed so I figured I'd just get them singularly rather than waiting.
I’ve got all three of these gorgeous box sets. After the third I started picking up the 3 in 1 omnibus books to catch up. So I won’t be needing the 4th set. And honestly, I’m really bummed about that. Edit: Preordered the box set.
I really want one piece box set 1 because then I can finally read those volumes, since what I did was watched up to alabasta then switched to manga from there. I didn't know about box sets at that point so I ended up getting the three in ones, I learned about them and then got box set 3. LOL I can’t find box set 2 for my life
You can get the one piece box set 4 on amazon Japan it releases on September 7th 2021 and it arrives on the 18th to 20th sep
is it in English? 👀

I check every day for boxset 2 & 3 but they are still not available :( (in Europe)
You guys should have bought them a year ago, I got each one on Amazon for around $120 each. The prices kept fluctuating at the time so I waited till each one was at its lowest and bought them.
July '97....I had Just turned 4 around the time One Piece came out. And now I'm 30....Damn.
I have all 3 and I pre-order the 4th from bookdepository. I also have the Bleach, Naruto, Claymore, FMA, Death Note, A silent Voice, Alita and Rosario+Vampire. Box Sets are great but I don't get the vertical ones like the FMA and Bleach. I can't put them on a shelf so I store them on the floor. I would like for more series to have box sets.

I didn't need Boxset 4 when it finally released. I had collected enough of the single volumes where getting the set was pointless.
Just got 2 for $130 and 4 for $100, the other two are gonna be harder though
The OP omnibuses are great too. There are a few specifically that are hard to find but overall it’s a cheaper way to collect the singles.
I personally care about spines/smaller volumes. The omnibus spines are only Luffy, that's not good at all. Plus, the colors of the singles compared to the omnibus.
If you ONLY care about price, go for it. But singles are better in every other way imo. The box sets discount them to like $5-6 a volume anyways!
@@tanavast7337 Personally I quite the way the omnibuses look over the singles. To be quite honest, I think that the one piece singles look kind of ugly. But yeah, I can see where you are coming from.

I have the 1st one Piece box set at home(I got it March) and next week I will get the second one from book Depository (they are finaly back in stock).
I have been waiting for these about one year😅😅.

Well, I bought the first three box sets an year and a half ago. I preordered the 4th box set. But I just can't wait for the 5th, so I bought individual volumes from 91 to 96 and I am kinda up to date.
But I didn't stop there, no, no, no...
I ordered the original Japanese volumes from Japan. All from Vol. 1 through vol.90, which of course cost me a fortune, cause the shipping price to my country was something like 40$ per box set. And there were like 9 box sets, so.. yeah...
I didn't regret though. Japanese copies looks much better on the shelf.

I bet it feels a little weird. However my appreciation for the series and enjoyment out of it is huge. Not only that but I got my 8 year old cousin in to the Anime recently. He absolutely loves Sanji. It's so freaking amazing to know how it influences several generations of people.

In my box set 3 one of volumes cover print wasn’t so good a bit like your volume 68 but the front is more on the spine.
The issue I have is space. I have read 66 volumes digitally because if I tried to put all of the volumes on my bookcase I would have no room for my other comics and figures.

I already reserved the box set 2 & 3 from a seller- but I am a student ( I AM 16 BTW ^^ ) so I can't pay all at the same time. HAHAHHAHAHA I cannot wait for it to come home. My mom bought me the billy bookcase for my starting manga collection and I'm so excited!! I CAN'T seems to find any op box set 1 in any webstores in Malaysia :( but ik that book depository will eventually restock it. I can't really buy on amazon bc the shipping fee is too high LOL. Maybe I will wait for the book depo or kinokuniya. ONE PIECE IS REALLY A GOOD SERIES AND I LOVE THE ANIME SO MUCH THAT I CATCH UP TO THE LATEST EPISODE (988). IT'S AMAZING
When I collected one piece I first got the first few volumes as a gift so I never ended up getting the first boxset and I just bought the individual volumes. I got the 2nd and 3rd boxset but I got those long ago and they were not pricey, After that I collected volume by volume once I caught up to latest volume because the fourth boxset hadn't even been revealed so I figured I'd just get them singularly rather than waiting.

I’ve got all three of these gorgeous box sets. After the third I started picking up the 3 in 1 omnibus books to catch up. So I won’t be needing the 4th set. And honestly, I’m really bummed about that.

I really want one piece box set 1 because then I can finally read those volumes, since what I did was watched up to alabasta then switched to manga from there. I didn't know about box sets at that point so I ended up getting the three in ones, I learned about them and then got box set 3. Rn I'm caught up but I want to read up to alabasta to see the differences and would rather get box set 1 then 3 in ones lol.
I got box sets 1-3 about a year ago and preordered the 4th. It hurts to see manga being scalped. Hell, everything is being scalped these days. But One Piece is such a good series though! Wish more people got to read it.

you should buy Ichi-f! it's a great one volume one shot with a great plot and good characters
