I would not run gore without setting a safety plan, but you do you. Glad you got out there. Perfect flows, great weather, and a good friend. Hard to beat.
Man, your videos are top notch. I love the variety of stuff. Crazy white water kayaking, snowmobiling, cooking by the side of the road, Burning Man, jam sessions, etc. Definitely one of the best RUclips channels out there. No hidden sponsor BS, or 5 minute product pushing. 💪
Not having your throw bag was poor judgement. And being bare foot won't help much with getting to where you need to be in a hurry. Never depend on the guy flushing out.
My buddy flew in from out of state for a few days and borrowed all that paddling gear, the throw bag wasn't in the gear bag when we got there. He had run the run a lot and I had never ran it, so he put my throwbag in his boat, 1st time I had ever given my throwbag away and of course lol! Rob's actually an awesome boater, just random stance.
Really crazy whitewater footage with great music. Loved the line, "are you not entertained." You must have done some serious editing to create this. I've only done peaceful paddling off Vancouver Island. This took my breath away.
Love the whitewater footage. I paddle a canoe in Michigan, no whitewater. Being outdoors camping and canoeing is still a great time. Always good footage.. thanks again.
Well I almost skipped this video Tim. I just didn’t feel like watching you do maintenance on your camper toilet. I know in real time your back in freezing temps so figured you froze it. Fooled me.😂
Really glad to see this again ! In the late 70s , we would run gore canyon in a 10ft raft … it was a wild ride in late may , June ! Keep up the good work !!
Nice run. I ran that back in the early 90s. We had a little higher water level and that seemed to make it a little easier run. It definitely looks a little tougher at the level you ran it at.
Won the raft race in the late 90's out of sheer luck. Most rafts flip on tunnel. We got lucky and didn't. Won a free Wave Sport kayak at the after party too, a couple years before Jackson bought Wave. I always wonder what it and the N Fk would look like w/o all the road blast. Lots of sharp rock.
First and foremost, I would have picked you up Timmy (those people have know idea what they missed (sincere), As for your ONE wheel getting you to your put in ( BEST Commute ever)....and that kayak put in was SICK brother!! Quick reminder for everyone to smash that like button and if you havent subscribed....please do so ( WE want these videos to continue ....AMEN to that!! As for Ginger ( she is a girl that will flush you out....lol) dated a few gingers in my life ( dont judge me) lol Absolutely loved your cinematography...One question, you are the only kayaker I know that still uses a wooden paddle ( I am sure there is a good story behind this)..it is a beautiful paddle...As for your good buddy Xavier Engle ( I am sure he is looking down smiling that you are still following your passion and sending it wherever you are!!! Cheers mon ami, welcome home to Alaska ( I think your there by now) hopefully hit a few hotsprings along the way!!! 1000 islands Canada
That's a pretty cool run, and your drone footage definitely helped see the lines better! Unfortunately, Rob's incident at Toilet Bowl didn't look good! I'd think that someone running class V stuff would have his own throwline (or preferably two), and not need to rely on you for carrying yours on the river, making him run something that potentially gnarly without any safety set... It's one thing to borrow stuff to be able to run something fun, it's another to do it in a way to be safe. Him not having shoes on such a run also didn't impress me: what if he had to walk out of there? just curious Did I see it right and didn't your boat have floatation bags in the back?
Three observations: I never scout or watch without bringing my paddle and my rope. Each crew member will have their own rope. I pick up all people hitchhiking with a paddle. 😀
Ya gotta get yourself an electric unicycle! They're better in every way compared to the Onewheel, I've got a Veteran Sherman which will do 45mph and up to 75 miles of range so its the perfect shuttle vehicle when paddling by yourself or with only one vehicle. The newest euc's have suspension so they can handle single track, jumps, etc!! I ride mine all over the Erie Canal Trail in upstate NY.
Enjoying the kayaking vids.... Wanted to recommend a river here is "British Columbia" called the "CHILCO RIVER"....i think you and your buddies would really enjoy,.....most groups do a few days, kayaking the whole river,..down to where it joins the FRASER RIVER.....there is VIDS here on RUclips,of the CHILCO RIVER.... This area is home for me,..and i only fish here,...as i have never kayaked before,...but have seen alot of them go down the river in Kayake's..... The Landscape is Beautiful along the CHILCO RIVER ,and think you'd all enjoy the trip...and experience....
Man I know it was already said, but seeing that rapid with the history plus you saying that this is a no no swim... you NEEDED TO SET A SAFETY even if you don't have a throw bag at least get in your boat in case your buddy swim. At least you can get to him faster if he is drowning. Next time make a better judgement call I was really worried.
I'm sorry, but this is NOT the guy you want to take Gore Canyon advise from. No shoes, no ropes, didnt run any of the substantial rapids. This guy is a BEATER. and running shuttle with a onewheel.....wtf. Dont do it like this, people.
Boating that little bowl of white water without each boat are having their own so bad? Need to take a swift water safety class. The surveys in my town is named after a voter who died because nobody had a throw bag but the guy who needed it.
We entered a turkey boat (boat full of guides) in the race back in the late 90’s. When we were doing the scout run the day before we caught up to a boat from the Air Force academy. Apparently the only person in the boat with any river experience was a cadet who used to be a guide and he was a bit anxious. When we got out to scout the first drop he very subtly came up to us and asked if we could keep an eye on them as he was under orders form his sergeant to guide the trip and he was the only person in the boat who knew just how out of their league they were. We ran the drop and eddied out and as they dump trucked on the pillow on the first rock we got some throw bag practice. After pulling in the sergeant who had FOG eyes (Fear Of God) our head boatman took him aside for a few quiet moments of common sense infusion. Thankfully the fear from swimming the first rapid and our guy’s tact and diplomacy were able to push past his “conquer at all costs” attitude and we helped them get their boat up to the tracks where they could walk it up to the flats for a nice upstream paddle back to their shuttle. If you listen, Earl the river will tell you everything you need to know. If you don’t listen, he will trash you and maybe send someone over to translate. I won a pair of neoprene socks that year……my feet are happy.
Gruesome twosome, no shoes, no rope, geez guys. I wanna like this but I just keep thinking about what idiots y’all are. If my buddy showed up to a class V run like Gore without shoes or a rope, we wouldn’t go. I remember back in the late 90s in Steamboat when my boss described in detail pulling his buddy out of there and performing CPR for HOURS before rescuers could come and pronounce him dead. Not trying to be a jerk, but hopefully if new or non-boaters see this video they’ll see some of these comments, too.
lol, had sandals they just broke so he just took them off, he borrowed paddling gear and there was no rope in the gear bag when we got there, I gave him mine since it was his home run, Rob is actually a super solid boater, but lesson learned either way
Hi Tim! Somebody will be watching you!!! Love & Miss You! Mom 💘
I can't imagine being his mom...God bless u°°!!
Good talking to you today you!!!
Hi momma Timmy, you have a gem of a son. The best content maker on RUclips by far!
Awww... hi mom 👋,
You did a great job raising your son.
@Ann Mitt
Thanks for the sweet words Ann. So proud of him! 😍
I would not run gore without setting a safety plan, but you do you. Glad you got out there. Perfect flows, great weather, and a good friend. Hard to beat.

Try to keep it mixed up, got some epic ones coming!
“If you hang on…, it’ll flush you out!” Perfect!
@10:26 when you forgot setting proper safety should be more of a priority than getting the video footage.
Glad he was okay.
Not having your throw bag was poor judgement. And being bare foot won't help much with getting to where you need to be in a hurry. Never depend on the guy flushing out.

Great video. Tells a story. Nothing makes you feel alive like white water
Okay totally not what I thought you were talking about when I saw "toilet bowl fail" 🤣🤣
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to get different angles
Yup that's why I made it, seems like all footage of Gore Canyon is just gopros.
Wow, what a workout ! Splish splash, taking a bath. 🤙
Really crazy whitewater footage with great music. Loved the line, "are you not entertained." You must have done some serious editing to create this. I've only done peaceful paddling off Vancouver Island. This took my breath away.
yup took a lot of editing to produce this one
That put in looked the coolest place to slide into that river, 👍
Love the whitewater footage. I paddle a canoe in Michigan, no whitewater. Being outdoors camping and canoeing is still a great time. Always good footage.. thanks again.
Your buddy's a good kayaker✌️🤙
Rob's the man!
Did the raft race in 2001. Warm up day was running around 3000cfs. Ended up having an insane surf in toilet bowl. Glad yall made it out safe.
Originally hooked by the truck, but stay for the kindred driver's drive to stay alive...Take care out there Tim!
Well I almost skipped this video Tim.
I just didn’t feel like watching you do maintenance on your camper toilet.
I know in real time your back in freezing temps so figured you froze it.
Fooled me.😂
That was insane, felt like I was in your boat. Thanks
Cool deal! I'm bout to add a ladder rack setup for a fishing kayak and solar to my setup.
Liked the video just from watching the launch!! Very cool lol
It looks like a lot of fun. I think you have some goofy settings on your drone right now really looks strange.
Thanks Timmy great content as always. Your Mom is becoming a rock star on the comments. Blessings man.
Really glad to see this again ! In the late 70s , we would run gore canyon in a 10ft raft … it was a wild ride in late may , June ! Keep up the good work !!
... And there you were in a position n to help, but not prepared. We all know better. Do better. Glad everyone is ok
Used to run gore canyon commercially and i miss it so much. Toilet bowl was always terrifying to swim. Had some spicy experiences R2ing gore rapid
Oh, wow, glad Rob is okay!
That looked like some scary fun....

Awesome river! Awesome action! Awesome video! Did I say it was awesome enough?
Great footage Timmy
5:53 nice choice of music to your videos, top notch Timmy.
you are good at what ya do 💯🏆 great footage ❗
This is hands down my favorite run in Colorado it's definitely made me a way better creeker
that was pretty gnarly!
Nice run to the out, but don’t kid yourself people have died in Gore Canyon . Thanks for the video.
Happy Trails
I think the most epic was that one wheel shuttle.
8:28 I have smacked that rock! Btw, the last one is Kirshbaum's.
I love your content so much!!!!
Wow that's the scariest video I've watched of you guys kayaking in Colorado or Alaska that toilet bowl spot was brutal
Great video!
That's a pretty cool run, and your drone footage definitely helped see the lines better!

He just had himself a time, he's actually a super solid boater, just had his sandal rip so left it in the boat lol

yup that's my usual go to also
Awesome run ! Can’t wait for spring.
Great video footage of Gore! 😁
Is that a Jimistik you're stroking? Dude makes the best out there. I have one that scaring 40 years old and still going strong.
yup!
Hello timmy Good video 👋❤️😘
colors really change from go pro to drone

Dude nearly died and Timmy says are you not entertained !!
Sneak all the way I mean all the way left at toilet bowl
10:24 for the beater sesh
Cool....
Nope... I'll stick to lakes and creeks! FN beautiful scenery tho!
The Google voice at the end reminded me to ask: have you had any epic Google Maps fails?
Lesson learned about throw bags.
hehehe

great stuff mang!
Appreciate it!
I’ve thrown multiple inadvertent loops in ginger in my playboat
What did you do with your one wheel when you got to Gore Canyon? Did you stuff it in your Kayak? Inquiring minds wanna know tehehehe
Bet he locked it to the hand rail. You could see he had a cable lock in his hand. Probably drove truck back and got it, luckily it was still there
hide it;)
Yay
Would love to paddle with you when you hit the southeast bro! We will get on something good
So if your doing that without a cell phone how would you call for help?
Do you paddle with the onewheel in your kayak?
Man were you at the Clearwater fest this year? I think I saw your truck there!
Sure was, Matt that throws the fest is one of my oldest buddies lol
Yea Matt is awesome! Such a great place!
I don't understand: you try to hide the one wheel at b the put in?
Ohhh he swam in toilet lmao
Mornin Timmy. Back to the last frontier yet?
time will tell;)
Why are you running class 4/5 without even a throw bag? That’s not good for you buddy
didn't plan it
are you not entertained lol nice vid
lol you caught that
Thanks for including drone and shore footage. Helmet cams just don't do the job.
Isn’t there a video where you roll over the kayak with ur GoPro?
yup can't remember what video
That swim was a little sketch, hole looked super retentive
Why does it look like the paddle is the wrong way round?
it's reversible
Kayaking without shoes shoes a major lack of forethought for your paddling partners… hopefully my man’s gets his shoes on next time
He didn't plan on it, one of the shoes ripped on him haha
Why not give the rope to the guy on the bank before hucking the hole?
What is the title about?
10:23 scary moment
the rapid is called Toilet Bowl
All that camera gear and you guys only had one rope between you? Amateur move.
didn't plan it that way, he flew in from out of state and borrowed gear, throw bag wasn't in the gear bag when we got there
What do you call a rafter whos given up on life??? A kayaker...
lol!
