What's the point in conducting these exams when only the profile and performance in CAT are in our hands and rest of the parameters are just unjustified? I see in the comments section people with excellent scores and profile losing out to some decisions of the IIM authorities to not even considering them for a call and giving the chance to someone else? Isn't it unjustified? Already MCQ exans don't exactly judge one's skill as anybody can get one or two additional questions correct simply because of luck and exams like CAT where any additional marks cause a major shift in percentiles. I want to understand what's the endgame?
Because good scores throughout your life show dedication. It’s a long journey for which those who have worked hard need to be rewarded. It’s not UPSC that just a single exam will decide your future. It’s just an aptitude test doesn’t even check your knowledge or anything as such

I have seen many people who have got additional questions correct out of sheer luck and thus disturbing the order. On the contrary they fail miserably when objective questions are changed to subjective (take ISI entrance as an example). And this argument of working hard throughout your life is a kind of weak statement. We keep on preaching that life is not a rat race but implicitly we keep supporting it. And in the midst of all these, we want the candidate to have a normal life while growing up? There may be outliers but then not everybody is fortunate enough.
@@bkj446 I believe that while working it was much more difficult to score a higher percentile than all these freshers and if there are at least 1-2 good IIMs that recognise this fact then I don’t think it’s too bad. Besides you know before giving the exam that just a good score in CAT is not enough.

According to you those who scored good in 10/12 have worked hard and unable to perform in competitive exams seedhe seedhe bolo rat ke paas hote Hain aise log. Scores in 10/12 also vary from region to region.

Pls refrain grom choosing IITs. Their DOMS are anything but Bschools. They are like another department in the clusters of department. They are poorly represented in the Senate. Not everything of IITs are great.
If you're from a general category.. Anything below 99 is worthless.. And if a fresher like who wants to kickstart his career better try hands on business bcz freshers are treated like shit.. Got 97 this year, All sections 90+ non eng 8/9/7.. i was sure if getting shillong.. And then no call
@@rounak006 Yes they can't call all at once. So the all round profiles+cat scores are given first preference. If they decline or the colleges don't get people then the next batch will be called.
sir please help me understand a fact I got shillong call last year at 95.6 % and nearly converted my last waitlist no was around 30 and now this year at 97.5 they didnt give a call like wtf even many 99.5+ didnt got a call from shillong
