It's crazy when we think about the fact that everything that we see through our eyes in the night sky is actually the past version of them
It's really interesting to think about what it looks like nowadays.
@@Adbeam yeah, for some celestial objects it would take millions of years to see the present
Everything, that one sees, is a past version. It may a one one millionth of a second, but it took time for the light reflecting off of say, a car ahead of you in traffic, then travel to your eyes or a telescope, camera, etc., your brain/device to take it in, then be actually seeing said thing.
That’s just how light and sight works.
It’s all relative.
*I actually am not a Astrophysicist or Astronomer, or even Astrologist…
Perhaps it’s all gone
We time travel every time we look at stars. It's mind blowing to think about.
I love these UNKNOWN docu series, this is already the fourth one and probably my favourite. Hope to see more of them in the future!
When is the release of this one?
@@CrispyPinguinIt says so at the end of the trailer, July 24 :)
what are the other unknown docu series ?

I am so proud to be part of the software engineering team that launched JWST! It's the most incredible feeling to work with the best every day. 🎉
Since many years I have been following the James Webb telescope even before it was launched. I just want to thank the people involved in making James Webb and the crew for creating this phenomenal movie.
Carl Sagan was saying all this in the 70's without sending a billion dollar telescope into space, just shows you how visionary he was in understanding the Cosmos
Which all book of his have you read?
I've just finished his book 2 days ago, Cosmos. It's really interesting.
I am not sure if that's how Carl Sagan would look at it.
Carl Sagan was great but this doesn't make any sense the JWST is figuring out things that we didn't know before and testing theories that haven't yet been proven. He had significant amazing contributions to science and he was a great science explainer but he didn't just create all those theories himself.
Carl Sagan was great at presenting physics to the masses. But the real genius was Einstein. From 1915.
"Any successful mission engineer who doesnt think there's luck involved is either a fool or a lair."
That hits
It's never easy to make science, math and engineering sounds cool and interesting. This was good.
Personally I think math and science are cool and interesting.
It is cool if you put your effort into understanding it. Unfortunately people want simple answers all in 1 book and religion provides that. That is why most people take religion seriously than Science.
I'm not from a math or engineering background, but I think it's difficult to make them sound uncool or uninteresting. I feel like a lot of us were taught by the wrong people early on in our lives that made us wary & reject the wonders of math or science, thinking they are "hard" and "complex" and by extension, uncool. I hope you find good educators out their, we have so many on RUclips itself. I assure you, math or science is anything but boring. They're our way of understanding the world, and the more we learn, the more it gets better!
@@sanchari.cit's definitely not cool if it was most people would be invested in it but they aren't

Finally a good doc actually teaching me about the James Webb. How it’s built, where we’re sending it and what all we’re getting out of it. Great doc 👍👍
i think its so nice that netflix are bringing more scientific docs to the page to all of us sick for engeneering and space
JWST amazes me with every picture, observation and discovery it makes I am very excited for the many more discoveries and observations james webb space telescope will reveal in the upcoming years! I mean Its still fairly new. It just hit 1 year 🤯
UNKNOWN: Cosmic Time Machine looks fascinating. There's so much we need to learn about the solar system.
No not really the solar system, more like the universe in general. It's so vast out there...
Bro space dose not exist you guys need to wake up

Incredible engineering! I watched the launch of JWST live as it happened, more exciting to me than the Christmas day that it was launched!
Those James Webb Telescopes images are amazing.
Very excited for this to come out Monday! Wish it was coming out today 🥶
Did you watch it?
I love spirituality, but I also love science... this looks epic!!

LOVED this documentary. Seeing the incredible full screen images from JWST on my TV about moved me to tears. Our Universe is incomprehensibly large and full. Billions of galaxies each filled with billions of planets. I assure you, we are not alone in the Universe.

Fabulous! Bringing this documentary to a wide audience is exactly what was needed, well done Netflix! The JWST is an awesome achievement!
Space dont exist
I can't wait to see this ❤
Hey, it debuts today.... YAY, looks fascinating!
They’re making this now, one day they’ll be a documentary or film on the day people land on mars.
Looks amazing , love space
Imagine if we sent a telescope through a wormhole millions of lightyears away, and pointed it back at earth, we would see our earth prehistorically!! Basically time traveling right there!
Shiva is beyond time 🔥
that's quite the vocal fry
I appreciate these ❤❤
Loved every moment of it, great documentary
Just watched it, beautiful documentary 😍
just watched it, was great!
I beat it will be incredible journey with the jems Webb telescope 🥰 I m very involved to watch this series
I heard that 60 percent nasa scientists are indians is that true?
Netflix's documentaries are next level 🎚️ I love watching
Cant wait to see this. Looks amazing!
Nasa just put a telescope to capture the past the our universe.. .. Cosmos is such a Beauty ❤
Oh yes! I love documentaries like this one! :)
Its crazy and mind boggling to think about our universe; the more we study it, the more we pierce through the unknown areas of life and our environment, the more we realize that there are so much.. SO MUCH, that we don't know. Its frightening, and exciting at the same time.
Simply amazing ❤
Such a beautiful documentary it is!
How wonderful it is to think that there are billions and millions of galaxies, stars out there and even exoplanets having potentially habitable for life. No wonder that humans when work together can make history! I hope nasa and other space agencies keep making histories..!! Our universe is way too vast and exceptionally mesmerizing.. humanity is on its giant leap towards the greater goods.. nd I'm very thankful to be born in this era and get to witness it!
Excited for it
We are in awe... of the subject !
So excited for this!!
it was pretty good, Kind of felt emotional in the last when the first pictures of the JWST were released, and people were shedding happy tears, which related to how I felt when I saw them on the internet. Our minds relate to the grandiosity and beauty of the cosmos. looking forward to the answers and the kind of closure and fulfilling feeling we feel when we learn more about the incident causing the creation of life on this pale blue dot.
I've always thought space was so cool and so very interesting. There is so much out there, and we have even seen 1% of it.
Thank you so much!
Hyped!
Just download it this can’t wait to watch it later
I loved it
Wow! Looking forward forward to this..
I love getting high and watch documentaries about the universe.. also documentaries about animals.

Oh man i cant wait to watch this
This is fascinant
Yes it will
Once in a while, I'm reminded we're lucky to live in the era of science, where we can marvel at things unimaginably incomprehensibly big and ancient without need of superstition, that we have the most powerful invention, the tool of knowledge that allows us to explore things we would otherwise be physically unable to do so, that is science, allowing us to see the universe is far greater and stranger than anything in our fiction.

Incredible!! Very eagerly waiting to watch.
I really like this documentary.
so exited to watch 😊
The james webb telescope is literally the stargate. We literally see the distant past.
I mean. When you look at your computer screen, you're seeing the past too. You're seeing what your screen was like a few nanoseconds in the past.
@@aaronwolbach9880 Yes technically all things we see are delay. It process from eyes to our brain and it takes a few nanoseconds. But the space telescope are able to see the distant past billions of years ago.
More of this please, this stuff is why I keep resubscribing

A lot more documentary style stuff would be nice. But maybe make it less American drama, it makes it come across a lot dumber.

JWST is not only expensive it looks cool too, those gold colored hexagon plates look cool on walls
Some humans need to understand that we are not an individual creature made up from nowhere. We are part of the universe, just like stars, planets, black holes and white holes we are also a part of the universe.
World should stop wars and explore space together....

Hey netflix add sonic all stars racing transformed to netflix games this game good quality for mobile this game was in 2016 but sage removed form mobile so you can do this right?
reality/truth/nature/multiverse/math/music is an equalization of the positive and the negative... this is the KEY to the so called "universe." This is evident all throughout the physical world as contrary poles making a completion.. such as good/bad, light/darkness, up/down, inside/outside, male/female, life/death, being/nothing, animate/inanimate, and on and on
It's going to be the one of the best Netflix Show ever 👍
We already know everything about the Universe as everything is mentioned in our Vedas and scriptures in detail written back in BCs
Of course we are not alone!!
Watched it last night, 10/10!
Here's an intriguing perspective, In a sense, you can say that the universe is understanding itself through the conscious beings within it, such as humans. We are products of the universe, shaped by its laws and processes, and we have emerged as a means for the universe to gain awareness of itself.
Netflix, Now that's the content is worth watching in this 21st century, Thanks For This❤❤❤
In space everything is sooo far apart that we’ll never physically be able to travel there so all we have really are telescope images and even then we’re only seeing things as they appeared many years ago due to light speed, so the entire history of human life will be spent here on Earth and not among the stars however advanced we become.
I like space scientific movie ❤❤
The fact we're a ball of Stardust Zooming through a void gives a sense of elation and wonder that is confronting.
