A little off-- Warsaw Pact was established in 1955, and you show Stalin while you discuss its creation, but he died in 1953.

You missed the biggest part of history about the Warsaw pact, the Kalashnikov rifle that was introduced after perfection in late 1950s. To most people it’s the ak47 but to an ak fanatic we know the rifle types each country received for a patent. The type 3 ak was pretty popular with most countries and the akm. These rifles changed history and western powers never saw them till the type 3 rifles had came out, long before the actual ak trial guns, the type 1, and type 2. If you want more history that will shock you get the Kalashnikov volume one book from Larry Vickers it won’t disappoint.

Harry S. Truman (May 8, 1884 - December 26, 1972) was the 33rd president of the United States, serving from 1945 to 1953.
A lifetime member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as a US Senator from the State of Missouri from 1935 to 1945.
He was chosen as incumbent President Franklin D. Roosevelt's running mate for the 1944 presidential election.
Truman was inaugurated as vice-president in 1945 and served for less than three months until President Roosevelt died.
Now serving as president, Truman implemented the Marshall Plan to rebuild the economy of Western Europe and established both the Truman Doctrine and NATO to contain the expansion of communism.
He proposed numerous liberal domestic reforms, but few were enacted by the Conservative Coalition that dominated the Congress.

NATO was created so the Soviets uh.. just created a formal faction? All of the Eastern European countries were already under Moscow's thumb, so the Warsaw Pact was merely a formality. Propaganda at best.

    • @silvesby

8/10 was an inside job It had more to do with a military alliance between them. They already were close allies under the Soviets, and were all united in trade, just not so much militarily.
