I'm debating whether to buy this exact ashton drake doll. I really want a reborn with rooted hair and open eyes but they are so expensive. Since I've never owned a reborn I was thinking of starting off with this ashton drake doll. However lots of people who actually collect reborns have basically told me they are a waste of money and I may as well buy a regular child's doll if I'm going to buy an ashton drake . She looks cute but it's so hard to make the correct choice when buying online
cat woman I have a few reborn and a few AD babies. I would suggest buying an Ashton Drake first. I'm sure you will love her, she is precious. If you don't like her Ashton Drake accepts returns. If you purchase a reborn, custom or listed on eBay, most do not accept returns.

Hi. I just got my Ava second hand on eBay. I really love her, except that her hair is awful and she's missing her shirt. I wish I bought her brand new. Although, I did save alot of money on buying her used.
I personally don’t like Ava’s body. I think Ashton Drake should really give her full arms and legs, 3/4 dolls bother me because it limits what they can wear.
tracey mallard Her hair is Synthetic. If you handle her a lot she gets really dirty because she is partial silicone. It keeps stuff from sticking to her. I have her on display so I don't powder her often. Just depends how much you handle her.
I noticed with the Ashton Drake dolls, is that the paint job is extremely inferior compared to other reborn dolls you would find elsewhere. Even the best reborn doll from Ashton Drake looks nothing like a baby. This is what you would call a Walmart doll.
isabella coca I would say many AD dolls are very much in comparison to Wal-mart dolls. This one honestly feels nothing like a Wal-Mart doll. She is partial silicone and requires powder or everything sticks to her. She is beautiful but she definitely takes maintenance to keep hair, lint, etc off of her. I've honestly never thought AD dolls even closely resemble real babies but some are very cute to look at.

I have both reborns and Ashton Drake’s Lily Rose. I honestly love my Ashton drake baby more, because she’s silicone and just has the cutest face!

Does she have human hair rooted? Or is it synthetic? Once you powder her do you have to this a lot?
