Anyone remember the coming soon icons for the dark barracks? It has even teased that there’s a 10th dark barracks troop on the list. Well that moment is just a couple days away from now! We saw the dark barracks 10 teaser recently and I’m pretty excited about it!

Most annoying thing in old time was queen took 40k dark to unlock and around 25k to upgrade

Pekka training time and buying shield to protect your cc cuz the coleader won't donate again
Yes , a normal army at th 11 took around 2-3 hours to train
And when finding a base with 700 dark elixir was exciting. A remeber smiling ear to ear every time I see a base with de in the 4 digits.

Oh man I remember the “troll” or “trap” bases, where you would leave your TH in the center but leave a gap right next to it, and have every trap, every defense, ever defensive troop covering that area. So funny to see people dropping every single troop and spell just for the TH
Still find those bases sometimes. Found a couple of them today. I use heroes though. With the Warden, it's pretty easy to take it down without damege
@@SMMZidan oh I bet, but back when the only heroes were the king and queen, and they didn’t have their special ability, or if you were a lower TH and didn’t have the king & queen you just had to spam every troop you had and try to at least get the TH, fun times!
I have no idea why some people still try using trap bases. I guess it's because sneaky gobs aren't as well known about? Sneaky gobs are all I've used for the past year now and are a guaranteed win + tons of loot even for bases with TH deep in the middle

Btw if you wait at the exact moment when builder finishes upgrading and immediately click on next upgrade or obstacle clearing, you can get pop-up message that no builders are available, and if you’d like to speed up the builder for 0 gems.

The OGs remember when we first saw the dark barracks and it had ten slots for troops some of which where “coming soon” and we are just now about to get the tenth dark troop a decade later.
Reminds me of the old CoC forums. The same forums where when th11 was released SC had an update that removed EA damage multiplier against Golems but there was a bug where it was still applying to them and it took like 2 weeks to gather evidence for it because people didn't think it was real.
Can't forget #BurnTheBoat. When BB released people hated it and the old Supercell forums had people complaining about Builder Base and people spammed #BurnTheBoat with pride. It got so bad that old forums had specifically updated to filter out that sort of flair.

not sure if you mentioned this before but a thing only ogs would remember is fixing th9-10 bases so the gembox would spawn in the middle of your map
Queueing troops for more elixir or saving elixir from attacker when the base has no shield or guard, what a moment.
another myth, it was rumoured that if you hit the gem box with lightning spell a few times, you'd get gem box in your own base / in the middle of the base

i remember a time where after 5 levels heroes got upgrade.
ex: queen archer got a golden crossbow for level 50 if i remember correctly

I remember starting Clash of Clans way back at the start of 2013 maybe February just as I was starting high school as a wee 12 year old. I remember playing it every day until around September 2014 where I quit around half way through maxing town hall 8.
I've had brief stints since then, like in 2015, 2017 and 2019 was the last time I played until mid way through 2023. It's crazy how fast everything has become to me as an old player with cheaper upgrades, quicker builds and the fact that your base continues to be upgraded if you go inactive.
It's good to see Supercell respect people's time because it's the most important thing we have as humans. I rember hitting town hall 9 in 2017 from a few months of playing and then hitting 10 in 2019, but I quit again not long after that. Now after 6 in 2023, I've managed to max town hall 10 and I'm currently half way through town hall 11.

I did something similar to the removing troops when lab finished. When troops were expensive to train and you needed to train low cost army in order to make the attack worth it. What I did, is after I was done playing before closing the game I would train many expensive troops so that if someone attacks me they will get less loot then I would just remove the troops that were in queue, if I remember correctly in the old days an expensive army would cost you 200k elixir and maybe around 2k dark elixir.
How I am not surprised to see him talking about these flags again and again

Hey Havoc, I enjoy your videos on Clash of Clans very much. But, here are ideas for you to look at and see what you think about it. Please take the time to read these, it is worth it.
QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS
1. Instead of just the builder icon, there should be "Upgrades" icon with a building and a hammer icon to indicate all the upgrades - builders, laboratory, pet house etc. WHY - It is time efficient as the player can easily know which will take lesser time, instead of player individually trying to select laboratory and finding out how much time is remaining on research for example.
2. Being able to sort upgrade time instead of and/or along with cost in the builder suggestion tab. WHY - Sometimes cost is not an issue but rather the time of an upgrade like knowing a particular building will take 8 hours to player can upgrade it when going to sleep etc.
3. For gold pass buyers, the Season Bank instead of being directly being added to storages, it will be in the season pass menu after the season ends from where the player can claim the gold, elixir and dark elixir (say for example if player had unlocked 20 million gold, when the season ends, the season pass menu will have 2 million gold x 10 and a claim button just like before Townhall 6 and below) But the key difference being that these resources cannot be sold for gems. So if you can't claim it, it will say "Upgrade the Storage or Townhall" WHY - I do not like the idea that someone can steal the resources that I paid for, with real life money and earned it in the game.
4. Resources from Offers should go to a "Secret Bank" which cannot be looted. But, all the upgrades made in the game (for eg- building, lab, pet upgrades etc.) will get their resources to upgrade from the Secret Bank. Once it is over then the buildings will start using resources from the storages. WHY - Again, I do not like the idea that someone can just rob me of real life money (so to speak) as I have paid actual money to get these 'in-game resources'.
5. Add an In-game Shop where players can buy all the magic items except for hammers and Book of Everything for real life currency. But, limit the amount of times players can buy per week for example, Potions can be bought 2 times per week but Books can only be bought once per week. WHY - It makes the game experience more joyous and removes the feeling of having to grind to progress the game as now players can buy from Trader, with Raid Medals, League Shop and the In-game Shop.
6. Change the potion run time from actual time spent to potion time used. For eg- Training Potion, instead of counting the actual time spent, it should consider the actual time spent training the army. WHY - It is more incentivizing for players to use the potion if they know that no inefficiency will occur.
7. Magic Items should have levels. So just as an example, Rune of Gold currently at TH 15, gives 22 million max value. But If you have levels for the Rune, for instance, level 1 Rune will give 1 million gold, then even TH 4 players can use it as it won't matter if you store the magic items as they have fixed value. WHY - This again incentivizes players to use the magic times rather than sell it or try to store it.
8. Defense Potion will allow you to boost a particular type of defense for say 2 days and bring it to its relevant Townhall max level or something along those lines. WHY - It's helpful when trying to take a rushed base into war or when there is a mismatch in Clan War Leagues.
9:15 yep, i remember it took me about 6 months to max a th8 back in the day and i got my th12 maxed after 5 years or so in 5 months now.

I don't know if I remember it right but there used to be just one Archer on top of the lower level Archer towers, unlike now where there are two.

I'm also an OG Android coc user, I remember I took year to complete TH9 max out 😅, it was so hard to farm back then and stop playing cuz I went to college. I just started playing again after stop since 2015, now it feels so easy to farm and upgrade but attack in war still a bit difficult and more strategies.
I remember all the way back, almost a decade ago now, I was super young and I reached champions league which at that time was a big deal, all by using a deck which just had 200 archers.. this is all cause everyone put their town hall outside so I just attacked those lol

I remember the whole Th7 in titan league lore, that one clan called SavageSeven full of pros with only Th7s that high up. Back in the day I tried doing the same but it meant grinding an hour for 45 trophies, then getting attacked and losing 40 to a Th two or three levels higher. I ended up giving it up at the last tier of master's league, but I wonder if that clan still exists...

I spent years and years maxing my th11, and then I left for some years, After coming back, My maxed th11(not exactly maxed as new levels added) is like new th7, no one values it. You can reach th11 in like months and i feel like all those years of mine are wasted. Also I miss the respect I used to get of being maxed. Maybe the reason I'm watching these videos to feel that value of being OG player.
loot bonus was so small it was not worth it to push trophies for it. Majority of playerbase sit in silver / gold and just farm dead bases, i was around gold II from th6 to th9

not sure if this is an og moment, but when people put a whole in their base on defense so the opponent thinks it is an easy 3 star but it is heavily trapped, i have not seen this happen in a while.

Sub 200 Farming still exists but not so sub 200. I use it since 2014 and still works today. Just a few days ago, I found a dead base in the gold league with 2.9M Gold and elix (without raid bonus) and 27k D.E.

i continue farming at a very low trophies range even at town hall 11 and it work very well i often find half a million of gold and elixir and have found a lot of 1m bases but after town hall 12 i think i will stop because it isn't going to be as good i know it

But one best thing I remember is getting lvl 4 dragon was a rare thing and I joined a clan and whenever I reuse I get the dragon with max lvl and the fire in its eyes that was amazing to watch
