I loved this game. The visuals were beautiful. The death of the Great White was heartbreaking but I was happy when I brought it back to life. This game also reminds me of that Nat-Geo Sea Monsters game that was on the Wii. Also I heard that this game's setting and story was actually drawn from Sumerian mythology and the cosmic ocean myth.
When I accidentally found your (at time of post) last video on a game I've never heard of and watched it. I've subscribed and decided to bingewatch all your videos and just *immerse* myself in your story telling when I'll have the time. Well, the time is now and I'll leave another comment in a couple of videos. So happy that the Algorithm actually did its job by putting something this good in my feed.
I absolutely love this game... I got this game during a time where my appreciation for water levels in video games was growing. I had been checking some stuff about some old swimming games like Diver's Dream, and some new indie underwater horror games, before I finally bought this one. It was such a delightful journey, no pun intended.
People still like to imagine industrial age coal plants when thinking about science. I firmly believe there is a consistent anti-intellectual stance in our culture. Funny, considering we've hit the point in the sciences that we can use technology to actively help the natural world better than we ever could before.
@BexxReviews The only reason technology is used to harm is the pursuit of wealth, and we harmed the environment in pursuit of it long before we used tech to do so. Heck, even other animals harm the environment if they become invasive specious and find it easier to get food, aka wealth.
It's legit already on my list. It'll probably be a while, though. I was planning to do a joint review of it with Jaws Unleashed and Jaws: Ultimate Predator, since the three games have comparable gameplay to each other. That in mind, I still need to play Ultimate and the ManEater DLC. I also need to a wait a bit to make sure ManEater doesn't release any more dlc. I'm still excited for it like all my other upcoming projects, though. Funny enough, I am legit in the middle of rendering out my old ManEater stream vods. It's probably why I had it in mind when editing this review. Just some funny timing.
Can i make a recommendation for a review or just to play? Exo One Its a bit devoid of life, but it has very similar meditation and exploration vibes of Abzu Also, fav fish is the Angler Fish, just cause it freaks me out
Still haven't gotten around to playing Journey. Seeing how much the animals make the game for me in Abzu though, I suspect I will still prefer the water setting. Personal preference at that point, though.
I probably will cover both the Subnautica games at some point, but they're at the bottom of my list. I love the first game, but haven't been able to LP or otherwise record it yet. I've been saving the second game for after that.

The penultimate area being chock full of prehistoric beasts is genius
My read on this story is that its about having a fun swim with some fishes and anyone who thinks otherwise can suck eggs.

The shark multiplayer game? If so, I've never played it, as I tend to avoid most multiplayer exclusive games. I've heard good things, though.
Abzu is one of the greatest games ever made, I swear I get super emotional and cry every time I play it, it is a fucking masterpiece
My headcanon is the Abzu is omniversal, and the floating islands are essentially linked to different universes.
