That's actually not Jon's strat. I had one custom made since I liked his a lot.
This is the tab book version of the riff but in the Ernie balls doc tom plays it with around the first 4 frets and over more than 2 strings
I played it the way tom plays the riff. He doesn't play it over more than 2 strings. The riff is only on 2 strings. Verse is 3 strings. I double checked to see what you claimed and you are incorrect. Also check live videos.
Check 26.10 on the ernie ball doc. I'm playing exactly the same notes. Hope this helps
