    Great video Mark - you’ve done the job too well and now they’ve sold you - you missed a trick, should have bought 100 and resold them 😂

    According to the link on their website, the heater is now discontinued, and other models are also out of stock...

    Excellent job! Great video. Thinking of installing in daughters off grid cabin as a secondary heat source to her wood stove as a way to supplement when fire burns out during the night.

    I have a 30 foot welfare unit like on building sites, I use it as an office and stores at my yard. Thinking one of these might heat it nicely, and there 12v which is perfect as I’ve no electric down there atm !.

    Can you use pure veg oil in these (mixed 50% with petrol)?

    Great video, and glad you mentioned red diesel which answers one of my questions. The other question; does it run on heating oil?

    • @ferrisbuellersdayoff
      @ferrisbuellersdayoff Год назад +2

      Here in Canada what we call "heating oil" is diesel essentially. (#2 home heating oil) So I bet it's the same where you are. Run a car or home on the same thing

      @@ferrisbuellersdayoff We have two types of heating oil in UK, one is red diesel and used mainly for agriculture and I think the same as diesel used in vehicles, known as 35-second oil (viscosity). The heating oil used in houses, which I have, is 28-second oil AKA kerosene, not as viscous as diesel. People use heating oil in their older diesel vehicles but it makes some of them smoke more, plus it's more wear and tear on some of the engine parts due to being less viscous. As far as I know these heaters don't have mechanical moving parts inside that need the diesel lubrication?

      @@Electrowavered diesel is no more , so would cost a fortune to run this

      @@mehere3013 Red diesel is still available as far as I am aware. The rules were revised last year but it's still available for non commercial use in home heating. There is also the kerosene option. Has to be cheaper than running a full home boiler. At the moment I have no heating at all so this heater running on and off as I can afford to top it up would be a great help, especially with the current cold snap. Here is the government publication about red diesel: www.gov.uk/government/publications/reform-of-red-diesel-entitlements/reform-of-red-diesel-and-other-rebated-fuels-entitlement
