How on earth Joe wasn't the most famous singer in the world is a mystery. What a voice he had. Joe died just a few days before my brother, and a week before my closest friend, and I keep coming back to this superb performance, which expresses the raw emotion I feel. Saw Joe on stage many times, he was fantastic, a million times better than any of the so-called 'stars' we have today. Incredible talent, and a lovely man. RIP, dear Joe, you will be missed.
One of my favourite versions of this beautiful song which was my partner and I's song, who sadly died suddenly aged only 49 and I fell apart. I lost my business and my home and hit the bottle. I wandered the globe trying to escape my demons, slowly drinking myself to death, until one day I realised my demons were inside of me and I had to deal with them or die, which isn't what my partner would have wanted for me. I went into rehab and I've now been sober for 6.5 years, I've rebuilt our business and got a new home and whilst I still mourn her passing every day, I can now also celebrate with a smile the wonderful memories we created together. To the woman who taught me how to love again, until we meet again: "Fly high and proud and if you should fall remember WE almost had it all." R.I.P Galia
Maybe he didn’t get the recognition that he deserved because back in the day there was a stigma attached to him being a gypsy. Such a travesty as he really was amazing ❤
I remember listening to Joe every new year. My grandparents had a video tape, he was my nanas favourite singer, i always remember her having a tear when listening to him. I feel so emotional when i hear his remarkable voice. There will never be another talent like it!
The amazingly talented joe longthorne was from where I live , he's buried just down the road from where I live , god bless and be with you joe 🙏 at peace now ♥️
joe was a good singer i was lucky to have met him on my 50th birthday a night i wont forget long live joes music gone but not forgotten a talent witch he was

trevalone,i dont dispute that joe isnt a great talent .but to be candid ,sammy davis jr.was the greatest all around entertainer that ever lived.sammy was in a league of his own.from robert, the s.f.giant fan.
What a fabulous voice and a fantastic man. Irreplaceable for so many reasons. His support for charity for which he received an MBE. His bravery and acceptance of his terrible leukaemia, which reappeared as throat cancer. But still he continued his wonderful singing in Blackpoool. So happy for him that he met and married the love of his life. You went from our lives far too early Joe, but you will be loved and terribly missed, but always remembered by your wondeful videos.
One of the worlds most under rated singers. I had the pleasure of meeting Joe once in Blackpool. A lovely person, and sadly missed by a lot of people . RIP Joe my friend
Born to perform , living in the far south east of England , hard to see these great performers, saw him at Margate’s winters gardens want struck me from the start was what a warm natural guy joe was , a people person , he made me shed a few tears with his heart felt singing , RIP , mate x
Why don't we see Joe on TV? This is a man that has played all the great theatre's including a successfull show in Vegas. Typical of British TV that totally ignore a living legend. ❤️🌹
Joe was by far one of the best entertainers this country has had. He is missed so much. His voice was beautiful. Gave me goosebumps and tears every time I listen to this song. He is singing in heaven. Sleep well darling Joe.xx
To our Darling Joe, yes a darling, because he was one of us, down to earth an exceptional human being. As rightly said Joe always in our hearts, "The Peoples Singer" Love you Robert xx
Saw this gentleman in Blackpool in the eighties. His vocals were amazing. The range of his voice, how he entertainment everyone. Was a wonderful unforgettable night. Sad to hear that this incredible guy has passed. xx
OMG ThIs guy didn`t need to imitate anyone, a truly world class act in his own right who didn`t receive the world wide credit and aclaim he so richly deserved. A musical legend, IMHO, up there with the very best. Thank you Mr. Longthorne, you will live forever because of your wonderful music and amazing talent. R.I.P.
Blocking stage door Glasgow royal concert having a fag 1992 said can't block the door mate saw him that night what star.God bless Joe never see your Like Again
One of the best evenings of my life was seeing Joe at Howden Park theatre in Livingston, Even my good wife enjoyed it and we have such incredibly different tastes in music.
How is it possible that a singer with such a phenomenal talent is not known all over the world!? Something is very wrong! I sit stunned by what I'm hearing: Bassey and Jones combined! Wow!
I am a girl from Hull another Hessle Roader born just two years before Joe. I have never been so proud of anyone as I am of Joe for the way in which he coped and handled himself during those last torrid months of his terrible illness. Thankfully the Lord spared his voice so he could still delight us and himself with his truly magical voice made extra special by his stunning performance. Your name will be spoken out loud for many years Joe especially amongst the people of Hessle Road and your army of fans worldwide. Once seen never forgotten.
Forgive me if I have posted on this performance before. If I have its because I keep watching it over and over again! Without doubt it is one of the finest performances of any song, at any time, that I have had the honour of watching and listening to.
Damn right, and so they should have. Who else could ever have sung a better version, with so much power, control, heart and soul ? Certainly none of the tripe that call themselves singers today. R.I.P. Mr. Longthorne.
A true professional joe rests peacefully near where i live. I get the privilege to share a few moments with him in my darkest times. A total inspirationx
I am always greatly moved by his rendition of such beautiful songs. He puts his heart right there and one can feel the full emotion it evokes. Truly, a unique and special performer.
Joe Longthorne is totally emotionally connected to the songs he sings - you can see it in his face. That factor, along with his amazing voice, is what makes him so great!
He put such feeling into his songs....I have him playing all the time, and each time nearly brings Me to tears....you were the greatest Joe , will be so missed 🌹🌹🌹
I was gutted by the death of Joe Longthorne yesterday, in recent years I have tried to see him regularly. Joe was an amazing vocal talent and I will never forget how at the Epstein Theatre at Liverpool he made me sob and ‘Cry Out Loud’ with his singing of ‘Don’t Cry Out Loud’ in the aftermath of losing my dad. This was a song which touched my heart at a time when I finally knew my dad was shortly to die. There was something very personal in Joe singing before you. In his last years, blighted by health he mumbled a lot when he spoke but then when he sang it was as stunning as anytime in his life. The last time I saw him at Crewe he even threw away false upper teeth away mid song and still he sounded astonishing. Nothing changed his vocal. RIP Joe
The singing impressions are absolutely spot on but let us not forget Joe has a phenomenal singing voice in his own right a truly top,top british artist and should be recognised as such. 🎙🎼🎹
That's beautiful,StevenX Joe is an amazing vocalist.I LOVE HIM,and will ALWAYS MISS HIM.His voice is pitch perfect, and he fought all his illnesses, and there were many,he never gave up,until his body could take no more.He died at home,in the arms of his Partner, of many Years, like they had planned.Such a sad loss.I'll ALWAYS LOVE YOU,JOEXXXXXXXXXXX

WOW......WOW.......WOW. !!!!!!!! What an absolutely incredible voice!! Never, ever had the global recognition he deserved. God Bless you Joe.......and thanks for the music. You were THE very BEST. Much Love x
Beautiful song sang beautifully. This was my partner and I's favourite and when she died suddenly aged only 46 I had the words "Fly high and proud and if you should fall remember we almost had it all" carved on her headstone as it perfectly summed up our happy but too short a time together.
He truly was amazing guy what he was able to do and sadly miss you may be gone but you left us with some of your amazing moments in time thanks for sharing and letting us know what is missing where ever you are joe I truly hope you have found peace cause you deserve it one hundred a one percent
Unlike so many new singers now and boybands singers whose voices are so feminine, Joe's voice is not only beautiful, pleasant to hear, healing but truly has a true male quality to it.
Absolutely Amazing, really luv this guy, so so talented. I consider myself young at the age ov 42, but believe me I prefer this kind ov music anyday. Bring back the 70,s 80,s and 90,s, Luv this song, goose bumps or wat xx
Not only did this guy have a fantastic voice, he knew how to use the microphone. Not like a lot of todays so called ‘singers’ who almost ram it down their throats and scream at the top of their voices. God bless you Joe
There is no one to touch this man - i have run out of superlatives ❤️❤️❤️xx
