It was a shared role, they all SHARED the role, it's common place for young actors. So it would be unfair for only one to get the award, it would be worse for their ego's if one got nominated and not the other.
As everyone of them plays about two times a week, while the grown-ups do 8. So they ARE one role, so of course they should share the award, too! What would it do to their friendship and perfomance, if one would be publicly declared as the best? Even adults would have problems with that, equitably sharing a role!
@hannah therein the last Matilda to sing in the performance was Eleanor worthington cox but the last to speak when accepting the Olivier award was Sophia Kiely. Sophia left the show in April 2012 an Eleanor left in August 2012

I've been blessed with a very creative mind and it's got me out of depression and difficulty several times!
That's not fair that they put all the Matildas together to put them up for best actress...That surely should not be good for the ego of the four of them, to feel like their acting alone wasn't enough so they had to all be put together to be worth something...
First of all her name is Oona and second of all, of course she's not here. Matilda was originally brought to England in 2010!! With the original Matildas, it moved to London in 2011 these children won in 2012 much before it was brought to America!!
