    Phenomenal stuff. I wanted an analog delay but this is just more useful. Getting one

    Can anyone tell me: I wonder if this pedal is easily better than plugin delays. Do you think it’s worth the 150 bucks, or are plugin delays good enough really?

    • @rcanderson4328
      @rcanderson4328 3 года назад +1

      I’ve owned every delay that Boss has made minus this one(DD3T). Personally from a regular DD3 to the DD3T, the 3T has a tad bit more features. I think get the DD6 and if you need more options DD20, DD6 has been my go to pedal for over 10 years… you can’t go wrong with it.

      @@rcanderson4328 thanks for the reply. Have you played around with plugin delays too for long enough a period that you'd have an idea whether there's a real advantage to using hardware like the one in this vid vs plugins ?

    • @gonebymidnight2881
      @gonebymidnight2881 2 года назад

      The are some plugins that are just as good if not better

    • @gonebymidnight2881
      @gonebymidnight2881 2 года назад +1

      The thing is many delays have some preamp inside, that is missing part with some plugins, get a preamp and use a plugin.

      @@gonebymidnight2881 Ah true. Good point. I just never got totally satisfied with plugins (surely that's on me as well) but hardware delays always seemed a better quality to me.

    Does anyone here have trouble getting the right "Time" setting ? Does your setting seem to drift ? Is there a DD7-8 type pedal with a digital readout? Being exact is pretty important for timing. Thoughts please. Thanks, AZ.

      Thanks! The pedal was running in the fx loop of my Marshall for the driven examples. For the clean examples, I used the pedal in front of a PRS Sonzera amp. Cheers, Michael

    If it had the Ronald long chip design inside, I would have bought it but I got the DD8 instead

    • @alexmurphy5289
      @alexmurphy5289 3 года назад +2

      It sounds exactly the same…I don’t understand this cork sniffing mentality. The DD8 is great but can’t do short delay times like this can.

    • @pCeLobster
      @pCeLobster 3 года назад

      @@alexmurphy5289 And in this case corksniffing has comically resulted in a worse sound since the DD-3T sounds better than the DD-8.
