That's pretty much all I use. I use water and oils to lock my moisture in and it does work! My hair doesn't need a million costly products! Thank God lol.
I love this product and makes my hair more defined AND detangles as well. Of course, I don't use ANY liquid without using a sealant. Also, for day to day moisturizing I use equal parts of distilled water, rose water, and organic aloe vera juice, still with a sealant. Hair stays moisturized for days!
I discovered the oil and water combination As a good detangle when I had some almond oil in a bottle and added some hot water. My hair was so soft and easy to detangle after taking out some crochet braids
I've tried it and love it as well. I use it on my box braids every morning. My roots gets very dry in box braids and I hate oiling and moisturizing every other day, so I use this. My roots have been looking alive which makes the box braids look great. It also helped with my itchy scalp....I got it at target for $6.99 will purchase again especially for my box braids.
Hey Yolanda, I was thinking the same, as it does finish really quickly. I do like it, but I know that in the long run, it's going to become costly if I need to keep repurchasing it so frequently. So the best option I think I may settle with, is the same as you. x
This product works soooo much better in a misting spray bottle, and it lasts soooooo much longer. A little goes a long way and a light mist is all my hair needs. Perfect for people who like the stretched out look and want to refresh. Just a tip 😊
I love this product HOWEVER, I noticed that using it in hot, or warm weather with the glycerin in it is not the move for my hair. When, I first tried it the weather was cold, and it worked great, but living here in GEORGIA has no mercy for glycerin products for natural hair.
My daughter has mixed hair and I’m using the sunny isle Jamaican castor oil with filtered water in a spray bottle. And a little Cantu curl activator. Wow. !!!👍🏾 curly moisture results.❤️. I also use the castor oil on both our scalps before washing. Soft and easier to manage.👍🏾👍🏾. Thanks for your videos.👍🏾👍🏾.
I've been using this for over a year, especially as I have been having my hair in extensions and my hair loves it. When I take my extensions out, my hair and roots isn't as dry or oily. Think I pay £7.99 or £8.99 for it in PAKS and its worth it because I don't use it every day so it lasts a long time. Lockdown made it very hard last year to get hold of it which was very upsetting so when I managed to find it, I bought 4! Had to be done lol
Firstly, I know just what mean in regards to lockdown making it hard to obtain products. I was literally ordering all of my hair products from the only store over here I could find which was PAKS also. I wish I knew about this product before I started doing protective styles. Thank you for letting me know the outcome of how well the spray worked when you had a long term protective style, as this will definitely be something I will be re-purchasing for this very reason.
Miss Lauren Leigh11 where have you girls been you can order them online for very well known sites lol. I've been using it while my hair is in box braids. So far I'm loving it as my refresher. I'm transitioning so well see how I like it once I'm completely natural
I love it as refresher. I think I was too heavy handed as I finished the whole bottle within a few days lol. Good luck with your transitioning journey. Once you've got all your curls back, it'll be worth it. x
I use for this and love it too. I'm on my third bottle now. I use it for my twists. I have been protective styling the whole pandemic. Thanks for the review.

You know what, after uploading this video, I visited about 4 different ethnic hair stores and none of them had it. I guess it's back to Superdrug and paying full price for me 🤣
I have this one and the purple rice water spray from As I Am. It’s the only thing I use. It definitely brought my curls back. I put it on my hair after wash day and rejuvenate my curls with the spray everyday until my next wash! 😊
I love this product. I have run out of it before and really noticed a difference in my hair without it. In the States it's about $6. I will usually use a 40% off coupon at my local drugstore or stock up when Sally Beauty has a 4 for $20 sale. I will sometimes add this to aloe vera juice and put it in my 360 mister. Yay a Brit! 🇬🇧 I bought this spray a few weeks ago in Superdrug also, the fact it was water grabbed my attention lol. I love it!!! I sprayed it like a leave-in, nah shrinkage 🤦🏿♀️ lol. But it Really helps to detangle, moisture refresh or in my LOC method (less product usage so I just use a leave-in cream or lotion with that). Hey girly, sorry for the late response, fellow Brit. I've recently used it on plaits and it is lovely, however I do need to seal it with an oil or hair grease as I found over usage of it can lead to drying out my hair. How are you getting on with the curly girl method?
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 sorry for my late response. I think the curly girl method went well, I was using a leave-in cream rather than raw shea butter. I think it used it way too much so I finished the bottle pretty quickly. Also, Superdrug often do three for two on hair products so that’s when I stock up on my As I Am products!

Beautiful demonstration, I just buy a bottle of castor oil and add water, being in the Caribbean castor trees grow all over so I just buy a bottle of oil.
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 you're welcome. Castor oil can be used for nail fungus too , and can be applied over your eyelids before you go to bed, does wonders. A true miracle oil
Awesomeness! I find CO to be a little heavy when I apply it straight out of the bottle during the day. I will give this product a try though, as I just purchased an EZ detangler brush, and this seems like it would be a good match. Btw, you have a beautiful, healthy, and lustrous mane.👍🏿 Signed Green w/Envy🤢:-)
Hey Carla, I was actually hoping that this product would be a little heavy, as that's what my hair seems to like. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the light mist moisturised my hair. Thank you and I'm going to change your "green w/envy" name to "gorgeous and inspired" 😘 lol
Thank you for doing this video. I tried this product for the 1st time in June ‘24 and I absolutely love it. $10.99 here in Ca. I brought some Jamaican Castor Oil and want to make my own mix. How much water vs 3fl oz of Jamaican Castor Oil do I use?
I bought this and I love it but I do feel like I could make this myself. I have every oil under the sun and I also have glycerin, which it contains. When my bottle gets low, I'm gonna mix in more water, oil, and glycerin and see what happens. 🤷🏾♀️
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 can you mix aloe vera juice, glycerin, and castor oil and get the same effect as the jbco water? Just curious. Stay blessed and healthy ✝️🙏🛐
Interesting, your hair looks fab. Please get a water distiller l promises that you will not be disappointed. You can get a 6L (Which l recommend for your size family) from Make Water Pure who are based in the UK 💜
I think it's meant to be a refresher or for when you need to re-wet your hair such as morning or night time routine. Not as a leave in. It's supposed to be like our DYI water bottle we add a little conditioner or oil.
I have just purchased the full range of products from superdrug I washed my hair today and used the leave in condition smells lovely and my relaxed hair feels great

Me🙋🏾♀️ it was reduced to like £1.75 because half of the liquid spilled so wanted to try it ( I like trying things reduced that way I don't waste my money if I don't like lmao) Anyway I love IT. I wasn't sure if it was the product or something else but by the end I realised it was the spray.
😳 £1.75, my gosh, that would have been my dream 🥴🤣. You know what, I think I may just try that trick. The amount of expensive hair products I have bought, that have done nothing for my hair. I'm just going to have to go easy on it as I'm so heavy handed when it comes to products. 🤦🏾♀️
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 🤣🤣 Tell me about it sis, I'm so heavy handed too with buying products and then half of them I don't like 🙄. I go to superdrugs and boots and look at the reduction section, I find quite a few good bargains makes me so happy 🤣.
I’m curious how you would replicate this. It is a bit spendy here in the US, but as you mentioned, probably can be recreated with filtered water and castor oil. I’m also interested in a good spray bottle that can handle castor.
Firstly the spray bottle is excellent, I picked it up initially for that reason lol. The only thing is, it does finish too quickly, especially if you use it the way the directions state. Knowing me, I will find a work around, just so I get to keep using the bottle lol
You'd need an emulsifier with the oil and water so they'd mix or just shake everytime you're using it is also fine. You may also add essential oils of your preference. With an emulsifier you might have to put it into the fridge because it wouldn't have a preservative.
Initially, the spray made my hair very dry, so instead of using it as a leave-in, I now use it as a refresher. Although I know what you mean, when you're hair doesn't like something you have to listen. x
This product reminds me of a leave in DIY spritz YT Kimmay Tube had a recipe for several years ago. I do like As I Am co-wash....their products are good but some are a little costly.
Can someone who has tried this product does it leaves your hair Stick,.? because l only use the Clear Castor Oil in my hair the Black Castor Oil doesn't work well for me because it so thick and sticky my hair just doesn't take well so l use the clear its thick but NOT like the black oil and it works great for my hair and has helped with growing my hair even longer and thicker but l hope to hear from someone just to let me know if it's sticky once its dry's in the hair. Thanks
I had a bit of sticky feel on my hair, just gonna be honest. My hands were a lot more stickier than my hair but still it was a bit sticky, I didn’t see any amazing results then how I get when I use my castor oil and a leave-in, but it could be my hair type too
@@kayj4657 Thanks a lot @Kay.J I was thinking it was like that because that dark Jamaican Castor Oil is like this is why l use the Clear Castor Oil Try it It does work for sure it helped my hair and so much better in the feel to me because it’s thick but Not like Jamaican Castor Oil Thanks Again.

That's really my only downside to the spray, I just finished it so quickly. lol
MissChissy Budget, definitely going to try both, as I need the moisture.
Ok you're selling me now on the whole line lol.
Beautiful demonstration, I just buy a bottle of castor oil and add water, being in the Caribbean castor trees grow all over so I just buy a bottle of oil.
Thank you Martha. I think I may have to start doing the same, as it finishes so quickly. lol
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 you're welcome. Castor oil can be used for nail fungus too , and can be applied over your eyelids before you go to bed, does wonders. A true miracle oil
@@marthawarrington7748 #YESSSSSS, Sister 🦋❤️👏♥️☺️
Just got this! Loving these reviews, hopefully it helps with long growth
I bought it and will try it because my hair gets so dry after wash day. Thank you for the information 😃✌🏽
You’re welcome 👌🏾
In my twenties, I used to make my own mix of rose water, castor oil, and panthenol.
This looks interesting. Have not seen it out here yet.
2 THUMB'S UP 👍🏼 👍🏼 I ENJOY WATCHING 🥰
Thank you Melinda. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching. X
This product is amazing 🤩
Hi this method seems sensible and simple.I have I'll surely be trying this.
Thank you Gloria. X
I love it, I'm on my second bottle!!!!
I'm about to get my 2nd too lol
I have been using it for 2years and Love it!
Oh ok i thought that it was a new product !
Your hair is gorgeous and so are your earrings!
Thank you Cynthia x
I love JBCO, yes I will go and purchase the As I am JBCO Water, Thank You!!😊
On my second bottle. My hairs so soft.
Interesting. It makes my hair so dry. I came to this video hoping you might give some idea why, but seems it softens for you.
I use distilled water in my spray bottle and often mix it with aloe vera juice. Never use water from the sink as a leave in
Thank you for the tip x
I was thinking of trying purified Or Spring water, is this a good idea?
@@sandrareid1812 i use spring water in my spray, i'd like to know if distilled water is better
Awesomeness! I find CO to be a little heavy when I apply it straight out of the bottle during the day. I will give this product a try though, as I just purchased an EZ detangler brush, and this seems like it would be a good match. Btw, you have a beautiful, healthy, and lustrous mane.👍🏿
Signed
Green w/Envy🤢:-)
Hey Carla, I was actually hoping that this product would be a little heavy, as that's what my hair seems to like. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the light mist moisturised my hair.
Thank you and I'm going to change your "green w/envy" name to "gorgeous and inspired" 😘 lol
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 I receive that in His mighty name. Thanx Queen 🙏👸
😘
Thank you for doing this video. I tried this product for the 1st time in June ‘24 and I absolutely love it. $10.99 here in Ca. I brought some Jamaican Castor Oil and want to make my own mix. How much water vs 3fl oz of Jamaican Castor Oil do I use?
I love and will continue to use it.
I bought this and I love it but I do feel like I could make this myself. I have every oil under the sun and I also have glycerin, which it contains. When my bottle gets low, I'm gonna mix in more water, oil, and glycerin and see what happens. 🤷🏾♀️
I've just refilled the bottle with castor oil and water, but I forgot the glycerin which I have lying around somewhere lol.
Thank you for the tip!
What does glycerin do ?
@@IyaToyosi It adds slip and attracts moisture from the air. But it may reject moisture depending on the countrys climate.
@@tammie3194 yes and depend of quantity of glycérine... To much can inverse the result
Thank you for this Kat. I'm going to have a look. 😉
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 💜
I am getting this spay! It's brilliant!👍🏿
I think it's meant to be a refresher or for when you need to re-wet your hair such as morning or night time routine. Not as a leave in. It's supposed to be like our DYI water bottle we add a little conditioner or oil.
I hear ya !
I love this product. Found it about 6 months ago at Walmart.
I have just purchased the full range of products from superdrug I washed my hair today and used the leave in condition smells lovely and my relaxed hair feels great
Oh wow! Have Superdrug currently got their 3 for 2 on the As I Am range?
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 no unfortunately not but worth keeping a eye out for when it does come😀
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 If you have an online account sometimes they do special offers online like 'curly hair deals' (Not the right word, I've forgotten but similar lol) and they're getting more brands in as well
Love this! Thanks for sharing
Thank you Delores. You’re welcome x
I had hoped you took it down. I wanted to see the twistout results.
I will do another video with a twist out, using the spray. I didn't take these twists down until wash day. 😉
I really like your hair. I always wanted to try these product
Thank you. I usually have to try a product at least, unless I just can not justify buying something that is super expensive. lol
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 🤣🤣
Tell me about it sis, I'm so heavy handed too with buying products and then half of them I don't like 🙄. I go to superdrugs and boots and look at the reduction section, I find quite a few good bargains makes me so happy 🤣.
I'm trynna be like you 🤣🙌🏾👌🏾

The scientists say it took them years to formulate it so the oil is infused in the water. They have a youtube channel explaining.
Oil and water
I am on my second bottle, but I am determined to figure out how to recreate it.
your hair looks very beautiful
Thank you so much 😀
I use this everyday!
I meant Nichele,sorry 😞!
Love the video 😃
Thank you Debbie x
Love this product.
Love this hope to try the remedy for my hair soon! Thanks you so much for sharing...Bless you
Thank you Ora. You’re welcome 🥰💕
As I am products dry my hair out. I recently tried again, but I'll need to keep these products away from my hair...
Initially, the spray made my hair very dry, so instead of using it as a leave-in, I now use it as a refresher. Although I know what you mean, when you're hair doesn't like something you have to listen. x
It looks like your hair loves it. I have not tried it, but my hair does not like castor oil.
It really did take to my hair pretty well. I'm assuming there's more parts water than oil, as I was expecting it to be a lot heavier.
Thank you for sharing.😊
You're welcome x
This product reminds me of a leave in DIY spritz YT Kimmay Tube had a recipe for several years ago. I do like As I Am co-wash....their products are good but some are a little costly.
Thanks for sharing!! I definitely agree price wise x
Yes Michelle same here,I stopped doing that a long time ago!
My hands were a lot more stickier than my hair but still it was a bit sticky, I didn’t see any amazing results then how I get when I use my castor oil and a leave-in, but it could be my hair type too
Didn't feel much better than water for me but then I have high porosity hair.
@@kayj4657
Thanks a lot @Kay.J
I was thinking it was like that because that dark Jamaican Castor Oil is like this is why l use the Clear Castor Oil Try it
It does work for sure it helped my hair and so much better in the feel to me because it’s thick but Not like Jamaican Castor Oil
Thanks Again.
@@risenshine888
Thanks l was thinking that it would be sticky in my hair once it dried because that Jamaican castor oil is very thick and sticky to me l don’t like it.
But thank for feed back.🙏🏽
@@lisaayars7263 oh no you have been given two opposing views! What will you do?? Will you try it? I still have my bottle but I put another leave-in spray in it.

Thank you 💕
If u oil wash with olive oil . It's nice I like to use the oil warm them wash it with water til it sticks then I freeze with cold water . Then a leave in and jbco.
It looks beautiful it’s not dry
Thank you Ann 🤗 x
Does it help growth ??
Beautiful sister 💕😍
Thank you 🙏🏾

Very random but had anyone told you that you look likel lebron James wife Savannah?
Thank you, I haven't heard that one before. I usually hear that I resemble greta onieogou.
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 I can totally see that resemblance!!
It’s interesting everyone loves it but I keep trying it but it totally dries out my hair. Is my bottle different?
Initially it dried my hair out, but I seal it with a light oil after I spray it.
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 i will try that. Thanks
@ try any castor oil and mix it with Olive oil to reduce/prevent dryness, remember that we react differently to different products. What works for her might not work for you. No offense
It does dry out my hair cos it is basically just water with a bit of JBCO but if you use a bit of oil to seal or incorporate it in your method like LOC might help. I'm trying different ways to see, if I'm still not satisfied that will be off my list
Can i use it after washing my hair and before blow drying?
Yes you can!
Love that blouse
Thank you 🤗
@@MissLaurenLeigh11 Do you mind sharing where you got it, lease? I thought it was really unique as well. Thanks

Do you sale this product if so how can I buy it
She said she bought it from superdrug
Does it make afro hair thicker
Yes
And if you want your afro to grow faster use Bergamot oil, bay rum and placenta
Ew.
Just wash, condition, and detangle every 1-2 weeks. Alternate clarifying shampoo and moisturizing shampoo.
Then just be patient.
Gives me shrinkage lol but to gain thickness does take time since there's a lot of vitamins in it
