I'm reading the Rick Ferri book All About Asset Allocation. I wish I had read more earlier; I was investing since age 24, but didn't really approach it academically until recently at 48. All those lost years.
Looking at you talking while you are looking at your computer screen explaining things on the Portfolio Visualizer greatly detracted from the teaching session. I would have loved to see what you were doing as you were explaining the tool. I do like your channel. Thank you.
Hi, great info. I see one issue with my 401k allocation at work don't have valid ticker symbol in order to put information manually at Personal Capital tool.
Excellent video. I have 3 Index funds (Accumulation) in my Vanguard Stocks and Shares ISA. US Equity (31%), Emerging Markets (20%) and Global All Cap (49%). US and Emerging Markets have some replication within the Global All Cap. What are your thoughts on my investment portfolio?
I appreciate your help and efforts but honestly we just saw you most the time and never saw the screen to SEE what you’re doing. There’s not much to take away from this
On covered calls: I don't trade often but from time-to-time, I decide to get out of a particular position. I invest only in high volume companies so the bid/ask spread is irrelevant. So I could sell ATM. Generally speaking, I'm in no particular hurry to liquidate my position, so I sell a covered call with a strike price slightly above the current price. My thinking is that I can get a premium over and above the current price. Is there a downside to this approach?
is there anyway I can see performance of a portfolio when I am starting to take an RMD? Currently it can only accept a fixed amount adjusted for inflation withdrawal per year in simulation. Great video..
Any chance you could go through the Monte Carlo simulator and give us your thoughts on that? I know it’s impossible to predict anything but I find the tool fascinating and would like your thoughts.
I’m so confused about the inflation adjusted part of I adjusted for inflation in the first place why is the final balance less when it’s adjusted for inflation?
Great video Rob; thank you so much. I listened to several more of your videos and I applaud your knowledge and depth in the field. In the video where you recommend books I realize that you limit o 2021 but I feel you should mention maybe in a separate video books by Richard Ferri, Roger Gibson, Larimore, Boglehead Investors, William Bernstein, and let's toss in Schultheis' The Coffee House Investor.
6am and I’m watching Rob talk about what he’s looking for in the Visualizer… and all I can see is his coffee! ☕️; As the video went on I realized I should add that this had nothing to do with not having the screen displayed and all to do with…. Coffee…
Hi Rob, great video. I was wondering if you could compare PRRIX with a total bond index. Is it a substitute? Or should we still have a core position in the total bond index? Cheers, Sean from CA
M1 Finance does not allow any US citizen living outside of the US with foreign phone number to be able to use their website. What to do? Any ideas, Sir?
I gotta tell you something this video changed my life I've been messing with portfolio visualizer in fact I bought the professional version for the last month guess what folks put in all the hot portfolios for the last 25 years you're going to find something even if you rebalance and put regular contributions in you can't do better than 7 and a 1/2 percent it's that simple when people say stocks pay 10% that's over the course of 70 years you don't live that long
The problem with portfolio visualizer is that you are assuming that the next decade is going to look like the last several decades and all the same things that worked in the past will work in the next decade. With stocks and bonds both going down together, the 60/40 portfolio no longer works. likely a Stagflationary future.
Great Rob. This is of great practical help! Please continue to guide us in the use of financial and related tools. Thanks.
Excellent live video, keep them coming....learning a lot!

Good video, here's an idea for a follow up, can you do a video/live stream on the "Metrics" tab and it's contents in portfolio visualizer?
Thank you for all the information you provide. You made me smarter in an area that I lacked experience.
Excellent!! It will be very helpful.

Not showing visualizer screen!
Is the personal capital safe to use the import portion of the app.

Can you do an analysis on AQST soon?

Can the portfolio visualiser be applicable to people in the UK or is it very much US specific?
Any chance you could go through the Monte Carlo simulator and give us your thoughts on that?

What about now. When is only 10 years backwards the free version. Alternatives please. Thanks.

Is this tool always accurate to rely on in order to make investment decisions?

something appears to be wrong with my computer... All I see is some guy talking to his screen. I was looking more for a Morningstar X-Ray portfolio.
