I am recently divorced d and will have a retirement money..plus ownership of the house, plus some more cash. I would like an early retirement. I am 52. Have health issues, and Italy has been my dream. Both kids will go to college soon.
@@DT-vc7hd For US CD's, you'd file and pay taxes in the US, then I believe you'd get a tax credit in Italy so you're not double-taxed. I'll be interviewing an Italian tax expert about this and many other issues soon.
No, this was for a couple. And probably high. I have a friend who has a place in Scalea and he and his wife spend about $1,500 together when living there.

How does Italy classify interest income? For example, if a retiree has CDs and Treasuries?
Are you talking about the CDs being in US accounts or in Italy?
