You do a great job on your vids- subbed. I just picked up a 7250 for my first ham and looking at this for CB. Your intros and walkthrough are gold. Thanks!
This radio does not contain the weather function it has been replaced with a FM transmit board. The weather function is now a mode selector switch. When pushed it locks in the new CB FM band. It is between 27.435 - 27.535
Just a FYI wj6F This radio no longer contains the weather function. It has been replaced with a FM transmit board to comply with the new FCC Part 95 class D regulations. All the new radios use the weather button for a mode selector switch. When the weather function button is pressed it puts the radio in FM mode. It will only transmit and receive in the new CB FM band. The band is between 27.435 -27.535. It is the old RC aircraft control band with has been moved to 70 MHZ 4 meters, back in 2000.
The export President McKinley unit with SSB is a nice radio. Wish they'd bring out a unit with CW. The last model with CW had buffering issues and was unusable without an external keyer. Even the Alinco branded 10 meter mobile had the same affliction. Only model with usable CW are the Ranger 29xx flavors. I have made gads CW contacts on those, but I long for something different. Many hams poo on these types of rigs, but the NB circuits are usually superior to "regular" amature offerings from the big 4.

The President Richard it is for ten meter use. Must have a technician class or higher amateur operators licensee to us in the USA.
