THEORY: What The Visitor meant as "The Loop" may have been the entire endless cycle of Battle Royale. And Midas may be aware of this, and knows that the storm plays a LARGE role in this loop, and so he wishes to destroy the loop by destroying the storm.
Why are you not pinned or at least hearted that sick theory dude
Problem is, unlike in Save the World in Battle Royale the Storm has never been part of the metaplot, it's a GAMEPLAY MECHANISM. The story background of STW makes no sense in BR, not on the old map and certainly not in Chapter 2. On the new island it's clearly implied that locations have (unseen) inhabitants, fields get harvested, things are being sold, cars move (from update to update), the place isn't overrun by monsters. The agents are clearly not constantly dying to the Storm in their spy bases. Heck, the storm border hasn't looked like "an evil storm" anymore for many seasons, ever since Epic changed the visuals to make the border more transparent to improve gameplay.
So I'm not thrilled they are suddenly trying to shoehorn "the Storm" into the plot of BR. And forcing poor Midas to fight or try to control a gameplay mechanism is doomed to failure, since removing the Storm would make the entire FNBR game pointless. I don't want Midas to be the first named character in a season ending event who fails and dies like a loser.

Battle royale could be a training ground to prepare for those hordes though, at least that’s my theory.
Although according to the Visitor's/Scientist's voice logs "the Loop" affected only him, as it was created when his rocket created the sky rift. He was caught in the time loops which created dimensional alternates of him (The Seven). Those of him caught in the loop were "muted" and lost their memories, which was the reason he had to leave the logs for himself to explain to himself what he had to do next time around.
But Midas might be one of the Seven, or become one of them. The body model used for the Cyclo suit looks suspiciously like the slim body model Epic used for the original Visitor. (Compare that to the Tempest suit, which has a far sturdier, more muscular, more compact body model. I think they reused that Tempest body model for the new Prof Slurpo skin.)
If Midas turns out to be an alternate dimensional version of the Visitor, what sets him apart is his Golden Touch. I hope Epic will tell us the story how Midas got that Golden Touch (a curse from Oro?). But considering one of the Seven is female, alternates could be as different as non-identical twins. Reminds me of the "Lutece twins" from Bioshock Infinite, the two scientists Rosalind and Robert Lutece who turned out not to be sister and brother at all, but alternates from different dimensions.

When you said “The intergalactic group that broke us free of the loop of the zero point” I kinda freaked out. I never knew in chapter 1 that we were in a time loop and were muted. It’s kinda scary to think that every match we were just reliving the same reality. Scary

I feel like the fact that there were no voices in chapter one was why people were so interested about the story. Like with the visitor and his messages around the map, I feel that people wouldn’t have cared much about the event if it wasn’t so hyped up with all the codes and messages around the map. It just wouldn’t be fortnite without the mystery. I personally wouldn’t have liked the characters actually talking to each other. The silence of the characters is what makes fortnite different from all other games.

Drowning is already implemented in the game. My friends and I were playing a game and one of my friends lagged underwater as he was diving over a period of around 5 seconds he started to loose 10 hp per second. Hope this helps

It matches up so well. In save the world, I believe the scientist was the one to cause the zombies. I’ve always wanted a crossover between battle royal and save the world and now it’s practically already here! This new island is on the save the world...world, Midas could be one of the seven and be in the suit that is currently in his room (and is also a secret skin), the device could be what starts this whole thing off. People in the battle royal universe are mute. They can’t speak. They only communicate through emotes. But in save the world and chapter 2, they can speak. If this is a storm machine, and it changes the weather, could one of the weathers be husks? And finally, save the world was going to be made free at some point but they never specifically said how. Just things to think about

In The Device event while in the office on the desk were 3 files and I'm pretty sure one of the files held a picture of the engineer person found in Midas' room. I may be wrong because I only got a small peak at the files but it might be good to look into it.

About the element theme, my friend had been making a br map and it given me an idea of what epic might do. So basically he made areas where it was like "survive the storm to get a mythic weapon" or a no building zone. So as epic have added in mythic weapons and stuff, what if they made a element to survive for each mythic weapon. I don't make much sense, so let me explain: for eg, they could put a clear box around pleasant park and have it burning in flames. Underneath pleasant, they could have a mythic weapon hiding there and you have to survive the fire (which does 1 damage every 2-3 seconds). They could do this anywhere on the map with different elements. Just an idea :)
Little tornados are already in save the world so maybe if Midas is gonna make weather he will add tornados. Or it will be a new storm surge thing for custom matches

Hey adamaru do u remember the battle bus that was laying on the mountain back in season 1? If I remember correctly it appeared to look like it had been shot down. Do u think it might have a role to play in the story?
In my opinion jonesy in the cinematic that's stranded will probably be a skin in the this battlepass called survivor jonesy or something also the flare gun I feel like if you shoot it at the ground somewhere a plane flys in and drops a supply crate or something

Adamaru, in the last season there were zombies on the middle island for fortnitemares so maybe Midas is channeling their power and maybe that's what that purple glow is.
What if in the unvaulting event visitor and the girl visitor (dont know her name) are stuck in there and cant leave so scientist build a rocket to destroy zero point/nexus but instead he made a black hole and here in chapter 2 scientist explained to midas and chaos agent what happened and they are helping him save visitor
