I thought for a moment Reggie was going to say: " Our competitors both focus down a path of creating the most expensive, and most technology driven pieces CRAP on the market" I would have actually loved that hahahah
don't be too hyped on VR, Nintendo won't do a thing unless it can become mainstream. Maybe they want to use it in their Parks but it's obviously not for Switch or anytime soon on any game system.
"Pokemon GO definitely wasn't a fluke". I beg to differ on that. Apart from that, Reggae seems quite confident as usual about what their doing. Especially I didn't expect them to be in VR or AR business, for a long time, that is. I hope that these don't turn into gimmicky games and also hope this Ar/Vr thing don't make them lose focus on doing their main games.
The problem with the "gameplay over graphics" debate, is that graphics ARE gameplay. Nintendo just posted (I believe on the Switch), a Zelda creator video where the developer said that there were things they wanted to add into Windwaker, but couldn't due to the lack of horse power in the system. So his argument doesn't hold up.
BeardedOTP Many Genesis and NES and SNES games hold up better (gameplay wise) than many n64 and ps1 games. That obviously has nothing to do with the graphics. And besides, graphics are visual. Adding gameplay elements is something else entirely.
That wasn't because of horse power. The Gamecube was already stronger than the PS2 Wind Waker's shortcoming was because they ran out of time and disc space.
Dude I've played on the shittiest laptops and desktops ever. It didn't matter what it looked like as long as it ran and I still could have fun. Gameplay is way more important to me than graphics. It's like having 2 lego set's. One is limited in color and one is limited in quantity. The 1st set has over 1000 pieces ,but is limited to a RGBY color pallete the 2nd has numerous colors but only has 125 pieces to choose from. Sure 2nd is cool cause they look nice but with a bigger amount of pieces to go around in the 1st one. I can make up for the loss of color with creativity being front and center ,but if I only care about color I'm limited .For me graphics are nice , but if they are the main thing chased a good game is usually left behind. Sure I can have the biggest and brightest presentation but if everything else is lack luster I'm going to be out of luck. Star Fox for the WiiU looked good but the gameplay was eh so only die hard fans lusted after it.I'm not necessarily saying Graphics don't matter at all but without gameplay it doesn't matter how good a game is it will more than likely fail, but with bad graphics a game can still be goo.
This guy avoids so many questions and always makes things uncomfortable, he's blinded by his own views and he's gonna kill Nintendo, I like reggie he talks about games well but he's so repetitive and stuck in his own bubble and he doesn't want to drive the company forward to what it needs to be, the ds is a fantastic system and same with the Wii but Nintendo nowadays is somewhat meh, who needs em lol
I just love the way reggie talks. I could listen to him read a phone book and I'd be listening.
I love the way he talk too, I think he is a wonderful spoke person for Nintendo.
XxRelmxX the way he talk? wonderful spoke?
Take a shot every time Reggie says "well, look."
>>Reggie and his wife in the bedroom:
-Reggie's wife (talking in a seductive voice): hey big boy, do you wanna play?
-Reggie: *Well, Look.*
Well , look, my body is ready.
Good interview
Reggie is very smart and I love the Philosophy he and nintendo have about making games and how to do well in the economy.
I thought for a moment Reggie was going to say: " Our competitors both focus down a path of creating the most expensive, and most technology driven pieces CRAP on the market" I would have actually loved that hahahah
It would cause controversy.
This is awesome. Working on AR and VR :) thanks reggie :D

XxRelmxX VR isn't happening on the Switch. There's absolutely no way. AR will, though.
Nintendo Labo :D
I thought they said E-Scorts not E-Sports. If you get the reference then you one of them boys.
ETIKA MINECRAFT NETWORK!
Alejandro Espinoza THIS NIGGA SAY E SCORTS?
J O Y C O N M E N
I think it was a little weird of her to just ask him what he thought of Xbox One X, what’s he supposed to say???
I love how they still don't know Nintendo doesn't have anything to do with Pokemon Go, jesus christ.
it's their franchise. The game wouldn't have been that successful without Pokemons in it.
I can't stop looking at that thinning bald spot. Common Reggie, you got money.
A new 2ds xl is his phone
Stop asking about the stock. They can influence it but not that much :)

The problem with the Interviewer is...she's not looking!

Well look...
Metroid Prime 4 AR confirmed.
Attack of the The Eye Creatures for steam confirmed

Nintendo chooses smart people 😮
He could never say something good about a competitor, could he?

Gamecube was more powerful than the PS2 at the time so I'm not sure this argument holds up.
