The Mardu is easily one of the coolest factions in Magic's history, one that suffered more than the other clans at the hands of the dragons. Good video!
Overall I think Tarkir was much more interesting with the Khans in charge. The access to th colors of Mana make for a more interesting dynamic of life on the plane. I hope that when we return again to Tarkir we see Narset and Sarkhan stirring up some tension with those that serve the dragonlords. Also I want to know what Dragonlord was completed during the Phyrexian invasion. My guess is Kolaghan!
go team Mardu~ started playing magic years ago with Tariel as my commander was a rough start playing that time as even some of the better mana rocks did not even existed yet haha but gradually I learn to appreciate and embrace the colours' perks despite lacking blue or green which sometimes felt like training wheels so I picked up so many cards to be used for my Mardu decks that I even have a cEDH deck now and yes it is Mardu~
As with other comments, I feel like the era of the Dragonlords is the least interesting of the three, with the Fate Reforged era setting the most so. The conflict and tension between Khans and Dragons leads to some really interesting worldbuilding and storytelling, and am excited to see more of that era in the future.

I don't think kolaghan was compleated.
I wouldnt be surprised if it was either Atarka or Silumgar
Mardu was definitely my favorite clan in Tarkir, definitely enjoyed it more when the dragons were extinct tbh 😂
Mardu horde was likely base on the mongol horde with horseback riding and archers.
Plus, the mardu had orcs!
This is the ONE clan I associate with in tarkir. Love this clan
this channel has quickly become one of my favorite discovers on this platform in a long time.

Zurgo Helmsmasher... Head of the first Commander deck I ever built.
i love alesha so much, hope they find a way to bring her back 🏳️⚧️
Without a doubt one of my earliest and longest standing commander deck on top of being my favorite leader of mardu
we need a new trans woman legend so we can have a new commander that is not so clunky
Do you think there’s a good chance we could return to Tarkir next year?
I hope so, though I hope we return to the world under the Khans. I feel like they sacrificed Tarkir’s uniqueness with the Fate Reforged
@@ethanbarnes826 I really just want to see the conclusion of Narset’s story since she mastered Red Mana on Ikoria.
@@catarmor4596 True, but narset believe that war will put not just the humanoid race but five dragon broods.
You spent a looooot of the intro talking about adaptability, cunning, understanding, etc. considering this is the combination without blue and green 🤔
How did mardu had orcs?
Mardu is inspired by the Great Mongolian Empire and people say Tolkion inspired orcs from his book based on Mongolians/racist way/
@@artofzetsu6130 Yeah but orcs on Tarkir are much closer to Blizzard-style orcs.
