@densch123 episodes 1 to 3 was his reincarnation happening after he was summoned back, and when he goes to sleep he dreams of his past, aka reliving what he did for the remaining episodes until episode 15. That basically sums up how he ended up on the path of demonic cultivation. From the start of season 2 it shows how the sunshot compaign ends and goes back to reality.

I watched the anime, I read the novel and I saw the drama. You'd think I'd get tired of seeing the same story again and again but I still feel absolutely fascinated by it
i think that the fact that this donghua is /technically/ classified as BL will deter people from watching it which is a shame because its honestly such a beautiful show with beautiful animation and beautiful music and a beautiful and interesting story :/

so i finished watching the entire donghua in a day and i’m just so happy i stumbled across this series. as a chinese american im so glad china is finally releasing a sort of high quality action/fantasy cartoon! i’ve always been a big fan of the anime art style and seeing a chinese studio incorporate some of those techniques and adding the chinese traditional art styles imitating the usage of mò (ink) in this intro took my breath away the first time i saw it. i just feel a lot of pride in being able to connect with this series and my language! also, i really hope they include as much romance between wei wuxian and lan wangji. i know that china isn’t big on lgbtq+ stuff and they have censorship laws but i really hope they keep up the romance. i cant wait for season 2!!!

I have cried so many times throughout this whole story. This opening holds so many emotions and after knowing the whole story (I read the whole novel) I cry so so many times while listening to both the seasons' opening and endings. This is way too emotional. Just today I completed the novel and my heart hearts so much realizing that such a beautiful and breathtaking story came to an end. I am looking forward to the next season of the anime and I really really hope it is released this year. This story will forever be the most beautiful story I will ever read. The novel is written in such a passionate way that my heart swells whenever I go through the chapters. I would really recommend every mdzs fan to read the novel. That book is a must. It was so hard for me to accept the fact that the story ended even though I knew it will someday end.....it's just the fact is so heartbreaking.
So in case you are interested in heavenly officials blessing as well (and are just as unorgianised as me and missed it) that donghua just started like a month ago, with new epsiodes every saturday. So i guess while we wait for the new mdzs season we can watch hob, and when that seasons over hopefully mdzs has started up again....

No other series, drama and manhua ( i havent read the novel yet) have broken me as much as this one, i don't know what it is, but somehow it captivated me and I think that the form of love represented made me stay. The story is so unique, its good, really good, i love seeing the differences of how the story is treaded in every media, i eeally dont know, but reading parts of the novel and reading tgcf novel i found myself rooting for the characters, each one is different, i don't know, i simply love it. Ps: i can't wait till tgcf donghua is out!
Hearing Wei Wuxian's pov is so beautiful. Reminds me of how he called the flute Chenqing. He did stay by what he thinks is right no matter the cost. No other character in the series had his balls 🖤❤️

You don't have to be into yaoi to like a story who happens to have a romance between two men ...if the story is good is good, the end. Why some people have the need to "justified" that they liked it?
@@marti9734 Just because the story is good does not mean it will be most preferred for everyone. Take for example Harper Lee's "To kill a mocking bird", a book that made many racists uncomfortable. MDZS is a good novel, anime and manga but for the sole reason it had the yaoi tag, it will be skipped over because consumers will not waste their limited time trying to find a gem like it amongst a disliked genre, where as they can find an equal or better novel somewhere else with a genre more likeable to them. That is what makes us feel to justify our like for it. The coincidences and greatness of the novel that made me and other straight men give a genre like yaoi a chance, a truly rare thing.

I have cried so many times throughout this whole story. This opening holds so many emotions and after knowing the whole story (I read the whole novel) I cry so so many times while listening to both the seasons' opening and endings. This is way too emotional. Just today I completed the novel and my heart hearts so much realizing that such a beautiful and breathtaking story came to an end. I am looking forward to the next season of the anime and I really really hope it is released this year. This story will forever be the most beautiful story I will ever read. The novel is written in such a passionate way that my heart swells whenever I go through the chapters. I would really recommend every mdzs fan to read the novel. That book is a must. It was so hard for me to accept the fact that the story ended even though I knew it will someday end.....it's just the fact is so heartbreaking.

Everything about MDZS is compelling, be it the drama, anime, audio and chibi adaptations. The Lyricists did not disappoint also
No other series, drama and manhua ( i havent read the novel yet) have broken me as much as this one, i don't know what it is, but somehow it captivated me and I think that the form of love represented made me stay. The story is so unique, its good, really good, i love seeing the differences of how the story is treaded in every media, i eeally dont know, but reading parts of the novel and reading tgcf novel i found myself rooting for the characters, each one is different, i don't know, i simply love it.

Same. I love this story, and this anime, so damn much. I don't care much for romance in general, so I don't care if the anime goes the BL route or the bromance route like in the drama. I'm just here for the fantasy/action and the amazing story and characters.
You don't have to be into yaoi to like a story who happens to have a romance between two men ...if the story is good is good, the end.

Just because the story is good does not mean it will be most preferred for everyone.
Take for example Harper Lee's "To kill a mocking bird", a book that made many racists uncomfortable.
MDZS is a good novel, anime and manga but for the sole reason it had the yaoi tag, it will be skipped over because consumers will not waste their limited time trying to find a gem like it amongst a disliked genre, where as they can find an equal or better novel somewhere else with a genre more likeable to them.
That is what makes us feel to justify our like for it. The coincidences and greatness of the novel that made me and other straight men give a genre like yaoi a chance, a truly rare thing.

This is not direct to you obviously as you said it's simply isn't a genre you're interested reading. I actually really get what you said; in most cases I don't really enjoy and have ZERO interest reading/watching romantic fiction in general but if something it's said by many to be a hidden gem, I try to give it a chance!
I get that mostly the problem is that this story is always target as just a 'yaoi' when in reality is much more than that. It's a fantasy, action, drama with a bl romance. (Not different from billions of drama/fantasy stories who features romances in it) And it makes me really happy that you enjoyed it, it's really is a sign of good storytelling.
