I like to give each staff member one training assignment at the beginning of each year and let them finish it when they can. It's more hands-off, but admittedly it suffers some problems: it's pretty slow to train on average once a year, and with teachers, sometimes they just end up too busy to do any training. I do wish there was a way to, when you have more than the minimum number of teachers, tell the game to distribute classes among available teachers to give them windows where they can train. Or even better, manually assign lessons to specific teachers. Would make it easier to utilize this substitute teacher strategy. Messing with their allowed tasks like this works, but it sort of feels like using a sledgehammer to make a birdhouse: a smaller hammer would work better.
I found closing the research room or PT was good way of doing it passively if u put them teachers onto teaching aswell, lessons might not be as great but ur other teachers have more free time
This is definitely more effective than what I've been doing which is just setting them all up for a training at the beginning, letting them roll through it when theyve got the time and doing it again midway.....
Great video. Lots of micromanagement, but if you get everything set up properly with the layout during the summer break, and schedule everything you want to schedule at the beginning of the year, there's not much more you have to do during the year anyway. Research and upgrading things is just about everything else that you should need to do anyway.
Hey Pinstar! Great video as always! 😃 I did run into a problem with the game where I would remove their teaching skill and suddenly all of my teachers would break. Maybe I was in the Summer because I wanted my researcher to take over one lesson, but no matter what combination I chose it broke all my teachers and wanted me to higher all 3 of them back again. Weird, maybe a bug, not sure. Only way I could fix that was to restart the game but even then it took a lot of time of taking professors on and off teaching for it to work for me. Let me try it your way and get back to you and do it during the school year so that the classes are already set in advance so it doesn't go all funky on me!
OMG! How tough is School of Thought!!! I haven't reached there but I'm so scared now looking at those Fs!!!! Challenge Accepted! 😆 How are you enjoying the game overall?
It definitely is a bug with summer. Start the new year and then pause it right after. You then sometimes have to select teaching, remove teaching, select teaching again to fix it. Very annoying but it is fixed by just starting the new year.
I tried to use the same strategy in two point hospital, where u can train one staff while the others take over but since the teachers will not train immediately compared to the others, I ll give this a try. I nearly lost a lot of money because I thought 1 teacher per room, not that 1 teacher was good for the entire year when ur starting out.
The more I play the game the less I feel like training my staff. For teachers yeah sure for the most part but for the rest I'm not sure actually. The problem is that the cost starts to really ramp up and the benefits you get from it don't really equate to money it's just "more comfort" I'd say. I guess if you play with the Orb club then you can justify it more but still, I've noticed some lategame campus with insane staff wages and I felt it wasn't worth all the training in the end.
You can cheese the teachers by selecting never to increase their pay and they won't quit either. It's in the campus overview section and select to review pay as never.
😅 I've been making 1 room per 1 training pod! Didn't occur to me to make one big room.

Agreed. Manually adjusting the timetable of classes would be great. Having all or nothing is just a bit frustrating.

Also, do you have thoughts on the best and worst traits, and how high the ancillary skills should be trained, or are you still testing these things?
Wikia has a full list.
I like your way of explaning and enjoy watching. Thanks!
yet another great vid! cheers

Great tip. Have found through ps5 doing this can sometimes make the game crash though. Has anyone else experienced this?
Absolutely smfh..on ps4...I always quicksave b4, and I do it paused

@@houndnz4703 Hey! Thank you so much. Will definitely try this over the weekend! You're the best for confirming that it wasn't just my game 👍☺️
Great content as always! Just fyi your thumbnail says this video is about staff happiness. Keep the great videos rolling!
Mine shows chain training
Mine is correct
Thanks I am glad it is showing up correctly. Maybe RUclips just doesn't like me earlier.
Good stuff! Thanks.

Good, bad or indifferent !
micromanaging is half the fun of this game - if you dont care for it this game can turn into a real slog in no time
