Dude I can’t wait! Thank you so much for helping out with the build. This is going to be awesome🤘🏼🤘🏼
This should be pretty dope 🤘
let me buy your old crank
I know how you feel :D I bought myself a 2002 cr250 myself a week ago. Going to totally rebuild engine, chassiparts etc. I did remove my exhaust og looked in the cylinder, it dont look good there either :P
Y'all are straight GETTIN' IT. Stoked to see you kill this build. Would super be cool if you could find someone to port and polish the cylinder!
Thanks dawg🙏
Terry Varner for porting work. He's a magician especially with Honda 2 strokes
Just found your channel yesterday. Chain watched all your dirtbike videos. Just have the cart and jet ski ones left. You have a new fan.
Cant wait to see the whole build. I still cant believe nobody who does a poper job like yourself hasn't made a build series on the old silver bullet motors from Honda. The cr250 motors from 92-01 models. Love em all tho thanks for the great content man
Wouldn't use a Wiseco crank!
Mr Special I heard the crank bearings are shit
For future reference would a hot rods crank be better or what would you recommend?
Tomatoknuckles yea
@@claypool9113 Sound thanks🤙
Wiseco cranks are trash. Pistons are good though.
Adam, Congratulations! I'm happy for you. This is a milestone in your life. The Case reed induction engines from 02 to 07 have too much VOLUME in the intake tract. Also the RC exhaust port height altering power valves don't work as well as the centrifugal force machanicaly operated one's. The cables get slack easily and the servo motor isn't strong enough. The engines do great on the dyno. Dynos don't measure flywheel effect or throttle response!
Broooo, this is gonna be epic!! Can't wait to see your magic on this CR engine 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Thank you🙏
Varner Motorsport for the cylinder porting and head Mod make sure you know what fuel you want to run I recommend VP fuel MRX02 or U4.4 and for the bottom end stay with the OEM crankshaft terry varner will tell you why just get a new OEM rod and he can balance it to the piston you’ll be running make sure the piston is single ring also for the bottom end send it to CRYO heat send the entire engine with crank and trans the entire bottom end this is what I did to my 2005 cr250r and never looked back
Powerseal USA for cylinder replate, they do really good work
I think it's really cool that I follow both of them and they have ties with one another.
Really keen for these videos
Millennium technologies, would highly recommend
Going to talk with them soon👍🏼
Eric Gorr for porting.
Adam Paganelli Eric Gorr is also good for big bore kits too, he did my dads yz250 to a 325 and never had an issue
Awesome build! For anyone out there motor building may seem intimidating, but is one of the more rewarding things you can do. Having a motor run knowing you put it together is a great feeling!
Vasily Custom Builds absolutely!
Easily my favorite RUclipsr. Love the content
sorry for this little stall ... due to work ... but now I resume my good habits by following your projects still amazing !😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩
Great great job Adam !
Have a Wiseco crank in my YZ with Koyo main bearings. 100+ hours with no issues. PO had it installed before I bought the bike. Depends on when it was manufactured. Have talked to numerous people who also have them and have no issue. Maintenance is key. Also, I personally think the main bearings have a lot to do with it.
Started watching both of you guys when your channels were brand new. I think Jeff had 2000 subs and you had about 500. Pretty awesome how well both of you have done!
mate, i think its awesome your helping Jeff
Terry varner does really good porting work
Hey Adam, the burn pattern on the head is normal, you'll notice that is on the exhaust port side where the combusted gases leave
Def wanna see this build for Jeff..
Im/e replace all bearings, don’t replace some and not others, when the cases are apart that’s the time, saving a few dollars on a bearing could be costly, it’s the next weakness point that fails after you replace worn stuff, don’t do it.
Someone down below on commented on porting gurus, also wouldn’t big bore it, if Jeff wants more from that engine those gurus are your meat and potatoes, also look into what options to replace the OEM servo the biggest achilles heal of that gen, the EPV itself wasn’t the issue, Factory Honda new it and their bikes got sorted, I have seen threads on forums about replacements but no detail on how they performed, sure some Honda insider knows where to conjure up the magic servo motor. Stoked you are going to do some Boyesen stuff as well. 🤙
This motor is going to look sick and run amazing when you are done rebuilding it!!! Do as many videos as you want for this project. :)
I'm glad you are considering porting. And micro-finishing of gears is a nice touch. I know of some good guys Steve Clitheroe in UK is highly thought of with Hondas. However, it's a bit far away.
If you are going to the trouble of the micro finishing for reduced friction it's false economy to leave any of the old trans bearings in the case. I agree shift drum bearings aren't such a big deal but it's a pro's bike for another $30 for oem shift drum bearings I'm sure is worth it. Anyway im looking forward to the build.
Also. Skf bearings can be bought for most of the gearbox straight from bearing suppliers. If you source Skf main bearings they sell a higher tolerance type to allow expansion with heat, but top quality and usually supply oem anyway. I usually have cranks rebuilt rather than replaced. Prox rods have never let me down, even cheaper mitaka have been good but oem is best. Some Hondas need a jig for truing them back up while pressing them together, some cranks have a tin cover over them which prevents you using the copper hammer method.
Check out the forums about crankcase mods changing volumes has a big effect with certain years.
Also squish band and volume is crucial too. At least you don't seem to have any detonation so far.
That is all for now 😆
Thanks for another engine build upload can wait to see the outcome
That engine was doing good to be running
Nice one man was looking forward to this id say Jeff's bike is gonna look unreal when it's done.
Dang, you know Jeff Walker?!
I really hope you hit the 1200 likes, I totally want to see some serious detail on JW's motor. Also your YZ and the Banshee shifter kart!!!
Carnt wait for this. Jeff said on his channel other week he was having you do rebuild👌👍
We’re gunna soup it up, shit I haven’t herd that one in years
Heard nothing but good of Tom Morgan Racing
Eric gorr, Tom Morgan, or Terry varner for porting
should get the gears tumbled as well and crank balanced.
Eric Gorr has been the Honda 2-stroke whisperer for the last 20 years.
@@MikeMcCasland27 he doesent have a shit on varner
A guy that my dad knows is wicked good with honda motors and stuff, his name is Tom Carlson
If you are doing a clutch basket.....put a weisco. LIFETIME WARRANTY BABY!
I was hoping it was an early 90s motor as ive just bought a proper shitter and its gonna need a lot of attention. Subbed anyway as you're pretty savvy for a youngster!
Was looking forward to seeing this
Don’t use Wisco crank! I had nothing but issues with it. Lasted only 20 ish hours
Wouldnt**
👍🏻 Ride Red
Love it man 🤙🤙
Stay away from the Wiseco bottom end parts! Use OEM or Hot rods
stop putting your bad information out to the public.you have no clue what your talking about.my grandfather has a garage full of dirtbikes and all have wiseco cranks and they run great.
I have a good friend who has been building engines for years and he has had multiple instances of pre-mature failure of Wiseco cranks and main bearings and always advises his customers to stick with OEM or hot rods if possible. Your comment has just as much evidence of being true as mine does so don’t tell me what I can and can’t say. Open forum discussion in the comments. Probably a liberal who loves to try to silence others when you disagree with them.
When u tare these engines down r u blue printing the engine off camera or strictly taking it apart and putting back together like it was and just hoping everything is in spec?
Hey man! Question. Are you using a regular impact drill to bust the bolts off? Or a impact wrench
Are you using a weisco crank, I heard bad things about them?
why not just send it to pro circuit for porting, could be a long wait but they do good work and the price isnt ridiculous
Sickkkk
Could you possibly get a longer ratchet extension!???
Lol trying to give everybody a good view
@@adampaganelli4891 ahaaa never even thought of that🙊
Sweet 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
terry varner is the best on honda porting
i wish i could bring my cr125 to your house.i need a top and bottom end and i have no clue how to do it.
What is the cost of building engine
What does a build cost
Can you post the banshee shifter kart
Working on that video tomorrow👍🏼
The bearings in the wiseco kit are garbage use Honda oem main bearings if you want it to last
Where’s part 2??? We know you have the bottom end together
It’ll be up on Sunday!
Adam Paganelli lmaooo hell yeah
DONT USE WISECO CRANK
What year of 250 bud
2002
@@adampaganelli4891 thanks man my buddy just bought a 2001 cr250
Wiseco makes the worse crank. Why use cheap bad parts?
Ask herrajugsracing
let me buy that crank off of you or jeff.
rip thumbnail
I dont know what happened😂 it should be back now
3.
Tooopp
👏👏👏👍👍🇧🇷
2 vu
VARNER is a very good porter for cr250’s.
Do u have a email or something I can message u on I have a question for u
HMU on Instagram
Adam Paganelli ion got insta u got a Twitter
These RUclips builders go through all this effort only to put the worst rotating assembly in the game (Wiseco)
Do some research their crankshafts are known to have quality issues.
Why not use OEM ???
Smartest comment here. Everytime someone uses a non-oem crank, I die a little inside.
My man just finish one build at a time this is getting out of hand going from one build to another wasting your time
What is the cost
I hear Ken O'Connor Racing is really good. They have been at it for many years. They have videos on youtube.
people on here are so misinformed.my grand father has been restoring dirtbikesfor over 35 years and uses only wiseco cranks and bottom end rebuild kits and they run great.start doing some research and stop listening to idiots starting rumors.just because some idiot didnt do his rebuild correctly now its wiseco cranks that are bad.
Wiseco/hotrod cranks are shit, you should’ve used oem.
Had no idea you were going to be building Jeff's motor. Must have missed that video. Looking forward to the project on both channels
Please just please don't big bore it, it takes teh fun away. atleast some of us, just tune it hardcore
Stay away from Eric Gorr
