WHY ARE SO MANY SONG TITLES IN ALL CAPS THIS MONTH?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Oh yeah here's a couple forms that are still open btw: MC BO2017 Megacollab: forms.gle/BsBBERm4bumaT6zS8 September Submissions (Glitch Hop): forms.gle/abmYQ611HySd4M8b8 Also my birthday is on Monday (September 4th) so if you know of any edm songs (that aren't on Monstercat) that were released on September 4th in the past or coming out this year drop a comment below I could use your help ⬇⬇⬇
No joke the original release date of Disciple - We Don’t Play was also on ur birthday (not the get lemon video the first one of the Alliance Vol 5) There’s also A high chance for a song like Docile or D.F.W.M to hit your birthday on disciple. And here are the other 4 on that label: Barely Alive & Virtual Riot - Basement Dwellers Dodge & Fuski x Audiofreq - Superfans Tryple - Sleep Paralysis Dr. Ushūu - We Will Rise I’ll show you Subsidia Too because why not Benda - Smoke Till I’m Dead Shroud - Find This
Aight, heres basically all songs Ive found that I also enjoy: Crystal Skies- Collide Brooks & Mike Williams- Jetlag Ytram, Elder Brook & Martin Garrix- Fire Unfortunately Im not that up to date on whats gonna release next week
I was suprised when ROY KNOX is back on Monstercat again after releasing Closer on NCS. ROY be like "Wait for me!!!" and then collabed with Affinity and Skyelle. Great Song tho I like both (Closer and With U)
It’s funny to me because I played the entirety of together as one on a carride and almost the entire album (September nights especially) sounds like 2014 tobu ahh ncs music. It was weirdly funny for me.
Honestly the lead melody in Erase Me is so ridiculously catchy, like I honestly had not great expectation for this song and they were insta-crushed once the melodub hit me, but yeah it's by far Fransis Derelle's best song, like it legit just sounds like a better Ember to me xD Also the drum structure and sound is magnificent!
This month was honestly fire, and there are 7 tracks i can see making BO:2023 for me. Tell me why, Romany Adventures, RIOT, No Fear, automatic, Roots, and High enough
18. Doesn't belong on uncaged 17. Decent 16. Basic but good 15. Agree the world is so fucked up 14. Bad 13. Incredible first day of school release 12. Drop 1 is the best 11. What's next Tokyo machine & Runn 10. Weak for soltan 9. The artist that got assaulted by Aero chord is back 8. KOMPANY 7. Werid 6. Celo looks like he's 18 5. Decent 4. Nice 3. What's next Diesel & Slushii 2. Decent 1. Nice
4:52 One Life by Abandoned and Micah Martin is a much better choice because it's almost the same genre (just a little slower) and it's impactful af Though Micah's vocals don't fit as well unfortunately
UPDATED RATINGS: 38: 4.5/10. I'm not sure where I would rank this one. I guess it doesn't seem necessary. 37: 6/10. I personally prefer ARMNHMR's house and future bass style over a good portion of Monstercat's incoherent dubstep/riddim tracks. This one's ok. 36: 4/10. See? 35: 5/10. Obnoxious, but kinda growing on me. 34: 3/10. The brass fill is good, but everything else is awful. 33: 6/10. It's decent, nothing special though. 32: 7.5/10. It's a clean future bass style. I quite like it. 31: 4.5/10. This is an example of why I don't like tech house. It's pretty uninnovative. 30: 5.5/10. It's a decent concept, mix could be better though. 29: 8/10. Am I the only one who thinks Monstercat needs more progressive house? It's a nice melody. 28: 5/10. Again, not too sure how I would rank this one. It seems like a pretty emotional interlude... I guess. 27: 7/10. I've got next to no problems with this one compared to other tracks. 26: 5/10. Just seems like some commercial house, so I'm not ranking this one too highly. 25: 6.5/10. I guess it's decent. It does have some dynamic energy to try and tell a story, but it's not exactly what I'm here for. 24: 6.5/10. It's kind of innovative, but the vocal chops aren't too great. 23: 7/10. Another prog house track that maybe could've had better execution. Solid melody, but very harsh frequencies on the leads. Also, my condolences on the loss of your dog. 22: 5/10. Ownboss is an interesting surprise on this label. It's an ok concept, but the vocals fluctuate between mid and vile for me. 21: 2/10. I think Groovemasta is better. 20: 6/10. Now this one is an example of a dubstep/trap concept that ISN'T unnecessarily shocking. 19: 6.5/10. Eh, I don't think this one is as special as some of the other releases, but it's not bad. 18: 8/10. Now this one is a pretty impactful melodic dubstep track. Might be one of the best ones so far. 17: 7.5/10. Why does this remind me of Gorillaz? It's not meant as a festival banger, but I think it's pretty good for a song. 16: 4.5/10. Solid acid startup, but it only goes downhill from there. 15: 5/10. It's got Muse vibes, I guess. The lyrics aren't for me, though. 14: 7.5/10. Ray Volpe does melodic dubstep now? Ok. 13: 6.5/10. I usually don't rate this style too highly, but it's got some festival energy and some sparks of creativity. 12: 8/10, After hearing this one fully, it grew a LOT on me. This is how you utilize multiple genres in one track, and in my opinion, it's probably the best Ray Volpe release so far this year. 11: 6.5/10. Pretty creative, but I don't like it as much as I used to. 10: 5.5/10. It's a bit wonky for me. It's better with the music video, though 9: 8/10. Sounds like something Yellow Claw would've played a few years ago. It's very energetic, and I quite like it. 8: 4/10. Another poor, uninteresting dubstep/riddim track. 7: 6.5/10. It's energetic, but let's be real, it's not Accelerate. 6: 5/10. I guess it's one of Diesel's better releases, but that doesn't say much. 5: 6.5/10. It's not Gammer's usual style, and it seems like it fits more on Rave Culture than it does on Monstercat. The melody isn't all too innovative, though. 4: 6.5/10. Not my usual style, but it's growing on me. 3: 5/10. I think this one's kinda overrated now. The speed house drop isn't doing it for me. 2: 7.5/10. I should probably listen to more of Bad Computer's stuff, because this sounds pretty cool. 1: 8/10. I see why you would put this first. It's got more pop vibes than it does EDM, but it is pretty fun to listen to.
Don't know how to feel about this month. Couple of great artists returning but some of them struggles to reach their full potential on MCat. We also have 3 LPs this month! Unfortunately 2 of them goes nowhere (one of them is generic moshpit Dubstep, the other is generic melodic stuffs). At least Bad Computer and Grant did not let me down. This one doesn’t do anything too crazy but the drops have a good enough rhythm and flow to them to keep me engaged
🤓🤓
Actually Yultron sang The World Is So Fucked Up
I was suprised when ROY KNOX is back on Monstercat again after releasing Closer on NCS.
ROY be like "Wait for me!!!" and then collabed with Affinity and Skyelle. Great Song tho I like both (Closer and With U)
Fun fact: Gravas is Fransis Derelle, CRaymak, Frank Zummo and one-half of Tea Timerz (just in case some of you guys didn’t know)
They cloned themselves, formed a supergroup, then collabed with their clone templates to make the song.
I think Silk had a good month
Sorry DC doesn't rank Silk
It’s funny to me because I played the entirety of together as one on a carride and almost the entire album (September nights especially) sounds like 2014 tobu ahh ncs music. It was weirdly funny for me.

Kxlla Translated: this one doesnt do anything too crazy but the drops have a good enough rhythm and flow to them to keep me engaged
Also Erase Me is my #1 song of this month, so good 10/10, sounds a little like Just a Gent
Honestly the lead melody in Erase Me is so ridiculously catchy, like I honestly had not great expectation for this song and they were insta-crushed once the melodub hit me, but yeah it's by far Fransis Derelle's best song, like it legit just sounds like a better Ember to me xD
