I model the Central of Georgia railroad and love the history of the Georgia railroads. I used to live in Jonesboro, GA. My wife remembers riding to Atlanta on the famous "Nancy Hanks II". The #750 now resides at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum along with the last MS class Mikado, the famous Southern #4501. The Southern Crescent Ltd. was a famous line that always stopped in Atlanta. Cheers - eastern TN

I used to work with that guy giving the tour, but I've forgotten his name over the years. We both worked at Georgia Public Television when they were located next to Atlanta Area Tech. I think his name was Daniel; it's just been too many years ago. I remember that he bought a section of train tracks near Griffin, GA, and was trying to get some hand cars to explore the railroad tracks. That was back in the early 1990's. Cheers from eastern TN
