Hey buddy . Over here in Canada we cut early spring when trees are full of sap . And use truck spring leafs with one side sharpened. Bark comes off in big pieces
Yes I think I cut these a little early I have used the leaf springs before and they work good, I really like the red devil floor scraper I can get good leverage and not bend over so much.
The floor scraper is much better and cleaner. Bummer that the planer didn't do the trick. When you started planing, I said....that's gonna take a long time to peel bark off a tree. Thanks for sharing. You never know, you might be able to send it back. Full-watch. I see your pooch wants to be in the action 😊. Have a fine week.
Sad to see some puke gave you a thumbs-down. The fact that you tried on camera (whether success or failure) speaks highly of your character. Keep your head up and never allow trolls to trouble you. I have never met you, but the totality of your videos have earned my respect. Oh, you're still a damned Yankee, but one I'm proud to know through your videos.
after all the comments on one of your last videos about getting a debarker, I was hoping you were going to give a debarker a try. sorry it did not work out and sorry it cost you some money though. Hard to believe the scrapper works so much better.
Good day Sir, I'm sorry for you !!! I'm petty sure you going to find a better way to do it faster. A tool is never lost, one of these day you will find pretty handy !!! Keep up the good moral !!! Did you consider using the sharpen front of your bucket of your tractor to peel off the three skin ? Sorry, i'm trying to find a idea to help you,,, Cheers !!!
Interesting... I've watched videos of other guys absolutely obliterate the bark on an entire log in no time with one of those. Maybe you got a knockoff or Chinesium perhaps?
Get a chain with drive links only made up for you and I bet that thing would work great on some virginia (scrub) pine and loblolly pine that has thin bark.
So glad I watched your video before getting one of these!
Full watch as well.
You saved me a ton of hard earned pesos! Thank you!
