    Nice. I briefly owned one of those USB Flir cameras, but I got scared when I heard about the "battery discharge self destruction" issue. I've often see this camera too, and in happy to see it does work decently...I just wish it was 1/3rd the price. 😉 I really like that its just a USB camera, meaning you can just plug it into any PC. Would be handy for machine vision tasks.

      Hi Mke. thanks for sharing, regarding the price, yeah, it starts to be a bit high but not out of the rest considering the competition... I will review soon a new model of a Tooltop device that I reviewed in the past ET12S, but the model has 192x192 IR resolution and connects to the PC, so keep an eye on the videos for the next weeks, it should be arriving soon. Thanks for watching.

    Why are these people so upset in the comments? This is a really good thermal camera for the price.

    Do any of you have experience with apps for this camera? The original one won't launch on my Pixel 7 with Android 14, and my colleague's S22 won't run it either. I'll try to dig out my old S8. The only app we've managed to get an image from is TC001, but it doesn't show temperatures, just a constant -273.1 °C. The Uni-t thermal mobile app doesn't recognize the camera. I'm talking about the current versions available on Google Play.

      Hi, that's really weird. If you notice other review also in YT you'll have several people using on different phones, I even tested it on PC also. Those chinese apps most of the time require location to be on to work properly, try it,. Thanks for watching.

    Not sure why you are getting negative comments... I guess these folks haven't got a clue what these IR cameras cost nor what makes one $150 and another $1000. I would honestly be questioning if they are just bots as they are such boneheaded replies.
    Anyway, ignore the haters/bots - this is a good review for a solid product that is well worth considering if you are looking for an IR camera.

      Hi Dylan, thanks for your nice comment and support. I do hear and take attention to the commentsnmade, I make a lot of mistakes, I know, but the only people that don't do mistakes are the ones that don't act and move forward. So I do listem and try to understand the criticism and learn from them.
      But I have to say, in 3 years of channel, was the first time I felt the comments were really not fair. I do loose a lot of time to trying to make nice and presentable videos, because we are talking about electronics we don't have to record everything in a cave.
      Going at me because I receive the items free of charge, the price is high or have a "shinning" videos is just dumb, as always, in my opinion.
      Sorry, just letting the frustration out 😁 again, ,thanks for watching and for the support.

    Well mines about 8 month old, kept on a shelf in a padded bag, took less than a hundred images and maybe 60 minutes of video, and its gone weird with 4 ghost images on video, live preview while recording is fine, photos are fine. reinstalled app, tried another phone.

      @@TechCornerTV I have messaged them but no reply yet. What's totally weird is its only the file that's this way, on-screen everything is perfect even while recording, so I'm wondering if it's the app encoding wrong and not the hardware. Also depending on the colour map option you get a different level of errors, use hot=white or hot=black and it's 'better' but other settings like hot=blue to red rainbow and it's terrible.

      Hi, 220€ a new one from Fluke is a great deal, especially if it has 256x192 IR resolution or more. Thanks for sharing and watching. PS - Do you have the link for it, it is totally something that I'm also interested 😁

      Hi, I just found out that Tooltop has the T7 that has the same resolution but no macro lens (yet). After reviewing some of the products I have here from them, I will see if they are interested in a review of that T7, is nearly half the price for the same resolution. Thanks for watching.

      Hi, I don't know what are you guys complaining about. Wasn't me who set the price of the equipment. I think it is a good device, I really do. I understand that you may disagree, but I'm not sure if you disagree that it is a good device or is just a good device but to expensive.... and that is fair, I really understand that point, if that is the case.
      If you think that this review will be better if I paid for it, I can't make sense of that line of thought, for what I understand the implication is that the review is flawed because the device was sent free for review?
      Are you telling me that all other youtubers that receive free stuff (eevblog, learneletronics and so on) are all giving dubious or biased reviews? Or is just me?
      I really would like to understand what is the reason for being so mad with the video. Did I ofended you with the video, really would like to know. Not that I care, but will be good to understand. Thanks for watching.

    Chinese shite. If it was around €100 then perhaps it would be worth considering. You can buy FLIR One starting from around €200.

      @TechCornerTV 6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, Already answered that here, I'm not the one who set the prices, even so I went to check on AliExpress and the lowest I found for FLIR One was 312€, it was a quick look so, maybe I might find better prices if look better, even so is a bit away from the 222€ that I have this device. But the is the FLIR One not chinese? Thanks for watching and you comment.

      Compare the resolution. This is 256x192, and flir one has?

    • @TechCornerTV
      @TechCornerTV 6 месяцев назад +4

      Hi again, when I replied was in the office and I did a bit more research when I got home. Flir one has a IR resolution of 80x60 (Flir One LT version) and 160x120 (Flir One Pro version). The gen 3 version costs $229,99 in Flir Teladyne website, didn't find it in AliExpress. In AliExpress where I use the prices to base my video, costs 312€, significantly more than the P2 Pro for a equivalente product and has way less IR resolution... am I wrong to say this is a good product and more or less around the prices you find for same equal devices, I think with this comparation I could go even further, that said, and I can't enphasize this enough, I do appreciate your comment. You took the time to particpate and I am really grateful for that. But this video seemed to trigger some viewers for a reason I can't understand. Wish you the best!

      @@antigravity8247 resolution is just an empty number that does little to usability. You can bring the camera closer to resolve more detail. Real usability comes from reliability, accuracy and sensitivity. Try to compare these with this Chinese product.
      With resolution it's like 1080p vs 2160p - most people can't tell the difference unless the TV is 88". Most phones have god knows how big resolution but by default they run quarter of that and no one knows.
