Working at a gun shop myself I see all of these in their own niches. Everyone has different opinions what they like but just for a baseline this was a pretty great list. I regularly put the Smith and Wesson line of the .380 and 9mm in women’s hands as well as the equalizer that they offer in the same family. And like he stated even men with issues racking the slide! Solid information.
Can I ask you about the Xmacro, because I want to get one but I hear that it is very vulnerable to corrosion. Would be grateful if you can share your thoughts.
@tristansprott6994 Thank you very much for that, I'm a woman I own the 380 Shield EZ as well as the Shield Plus 9mm I don't have hand issues etc it's just my preference
You both have great lists. This would be mine: 1. S&W Performance Center M&P Shield Plus (it's what I shoot the best out of all the tiny pistols and what feels the best in my hands). 2. Sig XMacro Tacops (doesn't have a comp but comes with a longer barrel, more mags, extended slide lock/release, and flared magwell) 3. Glock 19 4. Sig P365xl 5. Standard S&W M&P Shield Plus If I get more experience or get to try the Shadow Systems or Canik offerings then my list might change.
I wasn't impressed with the Shield, which I was quite disappointed by (I was quite excited to try it out). I went to a range with a large selection of rentals and tried this one, compared to the Walther CCP and Glock 43x and the compact Sig we tried (cant remember which one specifically), I found the shield to be quite uncomfortable for me to fire, and my wife who was shooting with me agreed.
All this talk about conceal carry and not one single example of the pistols being "carried". People want to see how well they hide on different body types.
I carry the P320 daily but I'm definitely not child size. It's got the full size slide but I got an extra grip module and cut it down so that a 12 round mag fits flush (easier to conceal). I usually have a 21 round backup mag on me, as well. That's the advantage of the P320 chassis system. Extra or aftermarket grip modules are cheap and user replaceable unlike most other pistols. It also applies to the P365 but it's slightly harder to swap a 365 grip module (you need a tool to get a pin out where on the 320 you don't).
I have to say as a man, I carry the smith & Wesson shield EZ and I can say it is an AMAZING gun. It’s not just for women or people with disabilities. I love it
.380 is a WHIMPY rd. Period! 9mm/35 cal is bare minimum as even a backup firearm But 38s +p is where anyone should really start. .357mag...Stopping power NOT just penetration!
Yep. With the proper round like federal hydrashok deeps or a proper grain jacketed hollow poin they do more than enough damage for self defense. Lehigh defense are also great fluid displacement is deadly and I highly recommend running +p you can get close to or above 9mm speeds with a full size barrel. I love mine and I guarantee you it'd do it's job if needed. Its not 45 or a 5.7 but it's not supposed to be. it's supposed to be a practical conceal carry gun for self defense and as long as you use the proper ammunition for it you're doing alright. Just don't use ball or something low grain use Lehigh federal or underwood. I have some Winchester silvertip 85grain jacketed hollow point that penetrate 14+inches in ballistic gel and still expand.
Another good option for ladies concealed carry would be the S&W Equalizer. Basically, the EZ but in 9mm and doublestacked. And ,as Clint likes to say so often, available with optics cut. My gf has the .380 EZ (so good call there) and is debating on upgrading to the Equalizer.
Yeah, that should have made the list. Maybe Sarah hasn't tried it or she did and it wasn't her thing. I've shot it multiple times, though, and I intend to buy one.
Good number 1 from both of you. I just switched to the P365X Macro with a TLR7 and a Holosun green dot. Love it. You failed to mention that the 17 round magazines will fit in each of the 365 family that Sara brought out. When you purchase extra mags they come with interchangeable floor plates so you can use them on any of the 365 family.
I own the spectre comp which is the original comped slide and isnthe same thing on the x macro. I also own the original p365 and the XL.. the built in slide comp is absolutely noticeable. Its definitely not just for show. Its not meant to be a direct comparison to a thread on separate comp on the barrel like people seem to enjoy doing. For something that is not being threaded onto the barrel and adding length to its an awesome innovation. Ive left a larhe number of ppl try my different 365 models before shooting my spectre comp with the slide comp and every single person including myself said that the recoil control and the snappiness of the gun was significantly improved using the spectre comp or x macro with the slide comp. Its also easier to clean than a traditional comp. Will a real separate comp have better stats and muzzle flip reduction, yes. Of course. Does the slide comp replace traditional modern comps. No absolutely not.. is the built in slide comp and noticeable and effective alternative to the traditional thread on barrel comp? You bet! No regrets whatsoever and I'm somehow between 6 and 8k rounds down range and several completed courses using this slide comp and i really love it. I love all guns and most manufacturers too so I'm not just a sig fan boy either. Hope that helps
Has the gun shot it self on you yet? Dude got his leg shot in front of allot of people hands off the gun etc.... Did they even fix the dangerous drop safety fails?
@@Kennoisewater123 I feel as though the comp does help. It is a trade-off for me as I normally like threaded barrels so I can decide what to put on the end of the barrel and change it out as I feel the need. But It does improve the "snappiness". This is my first Sig. I did a lot of research to decide what to get so I could go from iron sights to a red dot (or a green dot in my case). This is what I chose - and very happy with it. Decent enough trigger too.
More Sara videos please! Even though she didn't pick 5, it's nice to see a female who isn't a "Gun Bunny" talking about firearms. Great dynamics between you both.
I think the Glock 43x should have been an honourable mention at bare minimum! It’s an awesome CC daily use item and can be modded without too much work for higher capacity!
M&p ez 9mm owner here and can confirm it is easy to shoot reliable and easy to conceal so I enjoy it for summer time weather clothing and the m&p 2.0c for the fall and winter
I've become a big fan of the Caniks. I love the MC9. Granted, I had some issues initially, but Century Arms fixed it and it has been flawless. I love the aftermarket mags and mag extensions. Everything I have is all 15 rounds. Great trigger, so the range time is also enjoyable.
I disagree with their comments on the Hellcat sights. The "U" and "dot" is actually more intuitive and faster to aquire. My wife loves her Hellcat OSP and frequently outgroups my Gen2 G23 at 50' and under even with defensive 124 gr. +P
the CR920 comes with a pinky extension now for the 10rd mag. The extended mag is 13rd. Basically the CR920 is a G43. with flush mag is same size but more rounds.
P365 is a great gun. My EDC is a P365XL with 15 round extended mag and threaded barrel for that extra length. Feels incredible to shoot and super comfortable for everyday carry
My personal list would be: 1) M&P Shield Plus(my personal daily carry, want the PC slide to swap out) 2) Sig P365XL 3) Springfield Hellcat Pro 4) CZ P10C 5) M&P 2.0 compact(with the flat trigger)
I just purchased the Sig P365 X Macro as my first firearm about two months ago and LOVE IT! I've put about 1000 rounds through it and couldn't be happier with my decision. Very concealable, comfortable in my hands and great night sights. I shot multiple sub compacts before making the decision to go with the x macro. Glock 48, Helcat Pro, Walther PDP F, and the original P365. It was a very close decision between the Walther PDP F and the X Macro, but the magazine capacity and night sights are what made my final decision in favor of the Sig.
Can I ask you about the Xmacro, because I want to get one but I hear that it is very vulnerable to corrosion. Would be grateful if you can share your thoughts.
Once you go Sig, you never go back. Started with a P320 then made a 365X with an XL grip. Just talon grips on them and what else do you need. Amazing gun. 17rd is insane. Congrats and smart move! My next Sig will be a P220 Legion.
I land right between the two of you on the glocks. I much prefer the glock 48 to keep the longer slide but have a narrower grip which I think helps limit printing. And with the shield arms S15 mags you still get a 15 round mag (by making it out of metal rather than polymer they can make the walls thinner and it fits the 43x/48 and is still a double stack magazine) with the option to add on a mag extension to get up to 20+1 with the 48. I've heard people question the reliability of the S15 but I've gone through over 500 rounds on mine without any issues.
I’m a smith and Wesson guy but my next CC will be a Glock 48. Love that it’s basically a slimmer g19 with the full sized grip. Plan to make my 2.0 9mm my car gun
A lot of people look at it as if you’re going to carry a 43x/48 might as well carry a 19. Now there’s so many other options that have the same or smaller foot print than the 43x/48 that has a higher capacity in standard OEM mags that people overlook them.
@@Timmy2Tough there’s a massive difference between the 43x and the 19, in weight, thickness, length, that’s why the 43x is so popular. With the S15 you get the same capacity as a 19 in a smaller lighter slimmer package
@@432Tx yeah you have to replace it. You want metal with metal and polymer with polymer. If you don’t replace it the metal mags will eventually wear down the polymer mag release and it will no longer be effective
The M&P Shield 9 EZ is great! We chose that one for my wife's first pistol to get used to shooting and comfortable manipulating a firearm. It has been perfect in that capacity. And it is quite a bit smaller than my G19, so she could carry it pretty easily if she wanted to. I wouldn't be mad at carrying it either, even as a 6'2'' big man. I will admit that the P365 X-Macro is starting to give me the itch though... Freaking sweet.
9 ez? single stack or egualizer? Sister had no malfunctions with the 380ez, but had failures to fire with the 9m equalizer??? Grip safty was a problem on the wider frame. Good reviews on Rugers new 380 dbl stack pistol.
@@robertkwiatkoski1292 Just the single stack 9 EZ. We've got several hundred rounds through it at this point and it has run flawlessly so far. I could see the grip safety being an obstacle for someone with smaller hands on the wider Equalizer though.
that little Cabik Mete is pretty nice - list of all the “comes with”: Optics ready 12-round magazine and 15-round magazine Holster 3 interchangeable backstraps Punch and toolkit Speed loader Pinky rest Cleaning kit Hard case (for around $399.99) personally i drive a shadow systems MR920 elite - w/compensator - no issues with printing- the right comfy holster does wonders.
The canik is the everything killer! The Mc 9 is a beautiful work of art! And using all my full size mags at the range or sitting in the truck as back up is flippin rad!
I love my Hellcat as well. Especially with the Viridian E Series laser that fits like it came attached from the factory. Something a lot of people forget to mention is the extended 15 round mag. Once you slide it in, the full grip completes the feel. Before anyone overlooks a Hellcat, I always tell them to feel one out with the 15 round mag, it's a game changer. The glowing front Tritium sight is amazing, and even though the U sights take a few seconds to get accustomed to, once you're adjusted you won't want to look at anything else.
I’ve carried a tricked out G19 for 16 years now. Still love it, BUT I just bought a Hellcat Pro and really like it. Especially in the summer here in the south. Very comfortable
I miss Kaydi as well but I have to admit Sara has a great personality knows her stuff knows how to handle the firearms and can be bubbly and funny and the banter between you 2 at times is great. Bravo keep them coming. Becoming my favorite channel and a daily go to!!!
The U shape on the hellcat is really a brilliant design. With the front dot being circular and not a square the alignment into the U is more of a natural appearance and you will have more reliable alignment and performance will be more accurate
My only complaint about these top 5 videos is pretty often you guys will choose 3 or 4 types of the same gun when you could discuss a much different option. Missing from this video off the top of my head.. lcp series from Ruger, the new Taurus, cz p10s, cz p01, a snub nose .38, Walther cc2 or pdp compact, Mossberg mc2...
5. Springfield Hellcat 4. Glock 42 (w/ mag mod) 3. Glock 43 (w/ mag mod) 2. Sig 365 XL Comp 1. Sig 365 I'm considering price vs tradeoffs of concealability + need to mod, size, weight and mag capacity.
I like how good this young man is with “gun safety” Notice how he never points the gun at the young lady. Even when he grabs it from her to flash it around, turn it backwards and forward..he always keeps the barrel away from her🤙🏼 This is highly stressed during basic training in the military to avoid friendly fire during battle and even off the field. Yet, you always have that one dummy that’s always going to screw up because he fails to practice what he was taught. Bottom line, this young man will definitely earn his stripes in the battle field and I wouldn’t mind having him on my side!! You da Man brother!!!🤙🏼🏆🤜🏼🤛🏼
I love "U" shaped sights. Maybe being cross-dominant has something to do with it, but a hi-viz front post and a rear rounded "U" really works well for me. I have it on several pistols.
im really glad you mentioned this, im left eye dominant, but a right handed shooter(i do everything with my right hand except write, and eat). i've gotten used to shooting with my right eye enough that it's become second nature, but the u notch on my hellcat pro with that high viz front sight is just magical. i still do like the 3 dots sights as well, and don't really have any issues with them as they're on other pistols i own as well.
@@glock19gen3 I run the SA mag release with no issues at all running factory or SA extended mags. Might have a problem with install if they dont work interchangeable
I bought Ruger LCP Max 380 after watching numerous videos and also looking guns in the store. It is the best tiny carry gun. People don't include it in comparisons because it is unbeatable.
I have the Hellcat Pro and love it, but for carry, I prefer the Kimber Nightfall and ESV ... both micro 9s, so nice and small. The grip on the ESV is a little slimmer. Both very accurate. Only downside is mags are 8 rounds.
M&P 2.0 subcompact is underrated, I picked it over the shield plus.. 12+1 but also takes M&p mags up to 17+1, the grip feels better (shield plus feels like holding a deck of cards imo but I have big hands) and it has a pic rail for more light options.. throw an apex polymer flatty trigger on it then it also has a better trigger than the shield plus👌🏻
I have the original m&p compact and the 2.0 compact along with the full size. My shield plus gets all the love nowadays. Shield Plus, imo is the perfect size/capacity and you don't have to modify the trigger.
Absolutely agree. The M&P 2.0 sub compact (It used to be the 1.0 compact) feels much better in the hand than the Shield series. Also shoots flatter with less muzzle flip, trigger is immensely better than the 1.0 and handles more like a larger gun. Will be getting the slide milled for an optic on mine
I'm curious how the new FN reflex will stack up to the p365 variants. I'm also considering picking up a p365XL but then swapping the grip module for the shorter one from the regular p365 and running a flush mag in the gun for better concealment, 12 or 17 as backup.
The SIG Macro is #1 for sure. I've been carrying this as soon as it came out with the Tier1 holster. Incredibly comfortable, great size AND 17 rounds is elite
P365X is the best Sig carry imo. Im a guy so I have a bit larger hands. I liked the grip on the XL, but I didnt care for the longer slide on it as I wanted something smaller for a daily carry. The P365X has the best of both worlds imo. The grip of the XL, but the slide of the regular P365. You could also throw on some Wilson combat grips onto it which are nice grips as well.
Thanks for bringing Sara on. I like her glad she is here. I almost agree with all her pucks except the first two. I have the Sig rose, and the macro. I carry both regularly and love them both. However, the macro macro does print a little more. Just a thought, change the trigger in the sig and lighten the spring and you have a fantastic carry option. Thanks for this video!
Hellcat Pro for me. Absolutely love it. Shoots well, accurate. With two spare carry mags plus the one in the gun, I have 45rds at my disposal. Lightweight, compact package.
Enjoyed the video. My only feedback, I rented the hellcat, p365, and shield plus (agreed with trying to reduce printing). The p365 (10round with pinky extension) was top, shield plus was 2nd, and the hellcat (even though it had nice tech, did not shoot well). Actually recommend shooting a hellcat before choosing. I know this is all personal preference, grip and such. But if any place 'rents' guns it's a HUGE boon before a purchase.
@@HN-gj2iq no, but the hellcat pro, p365 XL and such are just too big. I wanted micro, and for me...the 10 round p365 with pinky extension is super accurate for such a small gun. Hides very well
HC with the 15 rnd mags gives me the purchase I need and it is perfect for EDC! Still one of the smallest micro compacts in the world and proven rugged, durable and reliable!
So I’ve been looking for a new edc since my current one is too big. And I’ve seen a lot of videos of top 10 edc of concealed handguns. My question is why does no one choose FN? I’ve been looking to buy an FN they look amazing and hear they are great guns. But again my question is why does no one consider the FN as an edc or conceal carry ? They make some sub compact and compact handguns to.
Running the canik mc9 with a Holosun eps carry. Silly accurate gun for me, and fast acquisition of targets. Already have over 550rds through it with zero malfunctions.
You cannot beat the P365 series for modularity. Sig was brilliant for creating a platform that allows for interchangeable slides, grips, and mags. The P365 series is my EDCCW as well.
Everyone I know that’s experienced in firearms loves sig with a passion however the issues with the p320 have kept me away, does the p365 deal with anything similar?
I carry the P365 XL (best sight radius in the P365 family) with the Macro 17 round mag. Best of both worlds. I have the TL6 laser/light mounted too. Great pocket gun!
Fully agree. The Macro I think gets a bit of overhype because the XL with it's loger barrel takes out the subtle but still noticeable snap you get from the base 365, but keeps the grip within reasonable length for control and concealment. Not to mention a good sight radius. The stars were aligned just right when SIG designed the 365 series, but mainly the XL.
The Sig XMacro is an XL with longer grip and more rounds. Same barrel. You’re thinking of XMacro Comp on the shorter barrel. There’s 3 XMacro variants. The normal, comp, and tacops
I’ve switched to the 365 for concealed carry. I like the fact you can swap around frames and slides to make a combination to suits you the best. I am finding the Wilson frame with an XL slide seems to be the best combination . EPS carry for an optic.
Literally just switched my XL frame to a Wilson 10rd frame and got a handful of conversion floorplates for my 12rd'ers. I really like the Wilson frame, and with a 12 in it it is the same length as the XL, but I have the ability to put a 10 in it and shorten it up a smidge. I did screw up and get a 10 with a pinky extension, which actually extends out to the length of a 12 and doesn't make it any more concealable, so I am trying to find the flush floorplate now. I want to try and stay with the XL as long as possible into t-shirt season before switching back to my 938, and the added length of the 12 rd mags are just enough to make them hard to hide.
@@waholoopesorry74 show me one instance of a Sig 365 “firing“ on its own inside a holster. I think it’s been the most popular selling handgun now two years in a row?
I have five main carry guns and it depends what I'm doing and if I'm with my family or solo cause I can run if I'm by myself vs I would have to create an exit if I'm with my family.
Got my MC9 last friday and I love how it feels in the hand. I haven't shot it yet but used to own the TP9SF when it came out so I have no doubt it shoots super smooth. I went in to actually buy a CZ P-10C as my carry and home defense gun but saw this in the case and knowing it was sold out everywhere, I bought it instantly.
@@memicusdankis4212 sometimes the 12rd mag doesn’t drop for me but the 15rd does every time. I keep them empty when doing draw practice and dry firing at home. Could be that mag is slightly oversized but I’ve had 0 issues with the 15rd mag.
Just bought my mc9 today been asking for weeks when I could get my hands on a be local shop out it in the safe for a week till I could make it up excited to check out the muddy water holster for it
My wife was carrying a Taurus g3c. She really likes that pistol, that said i wanted her to have something with a better reputation so we rented a few different pistols at the range and I carry the 365x (she hates it. It’s too small). We ended up getting her the g19 with the luepold deltapoint pro. She loves it and will actually carry it. She also carries a Ruger lcr 9mm 5 shot revolver.
I'm in the same boat. I am also in the FAMILY Category. I run, Sig, P365, P365xl, and a P365xl Macro. I can't wait for Wilson Combat to come out with a Grip Module for the XL/Macro.
Loving my Taurus GX4 as my cc👌 Couldn't find my irons for it so I shot a Canik METE that was spanking new and nailed my shooting qualification for my CCW. Very impressed with the METE! Also, love the hellcat sights.
#4-Shadow Systems, #3- Glock 43X MOS, #2-Hellcat Micro OSP, #1-Sig P365-380 But you guys forgot a couple of my fav's, the CZ P 10C and the Canik Elite SC.
Big difference in trigger feel with pre-cocked strikers like the Canik vs a Glock Style. I still carry my P365, but I've moved on to the CR920 for the most part. The trigger is heavier, but I do like the idea of not having a pre-cocked striker. I have a Canik Rival (not a carry) which I'm a big fan of, but when it comes to the Mete MC9 I'm a hard pass. To me that trigger is way too light with a pre cocked striker and no safety. It's nice to have a great trigger but there is more to consider than just trigger weight for your carry gun. My Shield Plus has a great trigger too, but I got it with a manual safety for piece of mind. To each their own, and it's great to have all these choices out there.
Theres two safeties on that precocked striker pistol... the trigger, and theres a safety plunger that prevents the firing pin from being able to strike the round. If you don't feel safe with a precocked striker style gun, you need more training on trigger discipline. No issues with the system if you are competent.
I LOVE SARA, she's great!!! She has such a beautiful smile. MORE SARA PLEASE!!!! My carry rotation includes the MC9, G19, THE EQUALIZER, P365X. Great video guys.❤
Good video. I love my P365. One thing I don't think you guys mentioned was the way Sig staggers their double stack mags more spread out for the 365 series, which makes the overall package thinner than other double stack handguns, micro or not. That was one of the deciding factors for me as a carry gun. I wanted more capacity than a single stack but still be able to appendix carry comfortably. It fits that bill perfectly for me. I'm not tiny but I'm not big either. I will say, a single stack option is more comfortable when I wear jeans, because of how ladies jeans fit, but with cargo or tactical type pants that have a little more room in the waistline, the 365 isn't burdensome at all. Plus my tac pants have a perfect side pocket to carry an extra mag. I like the idea of a side car, but that is a bit much for me. I also love how interchangeable the 365 system is. I want to get an XL frame, barrel and optics cut slide too, so I can put the FCG in and have an outside the waistband carry option as well, with a light an optic. I will probably keep the XL frame with the shorter barrel and slide too (making it a P365X) for my appendix carry, as I use the extendo 12 round mags anyway. The mags are interchangeable too, you just have to add or remove the little sleeve to make it accommodate either frame. I don't like the 10 round mags as they are barely too short for my liking and I get a better grip with the 12 rounders. That will save me from having to switch the FCG between frames also. I might consider just getting the slide with the comp and using the stock barrel that came with my standard 365. I'll have to check out some reviews on the comp. The shorty is pretty snappy, so maybe the comp will be better for me. One concern I have about a comp though, is if I should have to use the gun in an indoor situation, besides at the range, where I don't have earpro. I hope you guys do a comparison video with the 365 family (as Sara put it). Thanks, I appreciate you guys!
Based on your list. 1. 365XL 2. Mete MC9 (Best trigger on the list. Surprising recoil control.) 3. Shield Plus (Glock 43 is just overrated.) 4. CR920 (Don't get me wrong. The EZ shoots very well, but the people we normally would prescribe the EZ for have a lot of trouble with that grip safety. Plus, Shadow Systems... Way better.) 5. Glock 19 (Default) Personally, I would put the Shadow Systems MR920L at the top of the list. My second would be the Glock 48 MOS. The 48 is far superior to the overrated 43.
What’s up with all the tactical accessories on a concealed carry? I’m not SWAT or special forces just an average guy that expects his weapon to do basic things well. Sara’s picks made more sense to me.
I bought the 365XL a couple years ago when they were still fairly new. And while I do love how easy it is to carry the slide (on mine at least) is the hardest to rack handgun I have ever used, I'd say it's around 50% more effort to pull the slide back than something like the Glock 19 and incomparable to the Shield EZ
I picked up the 365 xmacro, put on the TLR7a along with a 507k and also picked up an Icarus precision grip for it, and it feels insanely good in the hand
I have both the 365XL and the 320C and love both guns. Since the first of the year I have not been carrying due to having bariatric surgery in April and have had an 80 pound weight loss so far so I am still very weak and I also don't know how my concealability will be when I will be able to carry again is. When I was carrying last year I found that at 5'8" 280lbs, I was more comfortable carrying the 320c and shooting the 320c. Only time will tell what will happen over the next year when I hit my goal weight of 175 lbs and regain my strength. Your discussion was very interesting.
I have the hellcat as my ccw and the canik sfx mete as my range gun! They both get the same number of rounds and abuse! Love em both and im learning to shoot both red dot and my traditional irons! It's a challenge but a fun one!
@@J.Young808 my friend and ex gf found it snappy it didn't bother me at all as far as recoil goes but the trigger itself was biting me. I think it was just my technique so I'm going to work on it more.
Great list for out of the box CCW firearms. I EDC my Taurus GX4 due to concealability, despite it being more snappy than i would like i like the fact that it has a double stack and an available +2 pinky extension making it a 13+1. The wife prefers the Glock 42 as her EDC because of a lighter recoil . Great list overall
I carry my GX4 more often than any others for that exact reason - super easy to conceal and comfortable to carry even in the Florida heat and summer clothing. It is a snappy little mofo though, but after a slight tweak to my normal grip by finger wrapping the front of the trigger guard like Yong Lee and Eric Grauffel, the more comfortable it feels.
Honestly, the GX4 is a great EDC choice, but you have to shoot it enough to manage recoil. With the 13+1 magazines, the grip doesn’t print any more than my Glock 48, and even with S15 magazines I’m only down four round capacity.
Interesting topic... I'll chime in🤷♂ 5. Ruger SR9c 9mm 4. Springfield Armory XDMe 3.8" OSP Compact 10mm 3. Springfield Armory Hellcat OSP 9mm 2. FN Reflex MRD 9mm (peanut butter) 1. FN Reflex MRD 9mm (jelly) Now I have a question for you two specifically... My son likes to shoot, but he is smaller in stature and recoil adverse. So I am looking at a .380 for him. (Hopefully he will carry one day) What would you recommend? In my list his #1 is the Ruger SR9c followed by the Reflex's, 🤷♂he likes shooters. His, and mine, least favorite to shoot is the Hellcat, not comfortable to send a few hundred down range.😏 The Hellcat is my EDC, and it has been for a while. Once I get all the furniture for Jelly FN, it will be my EDC.👍

1. S&W Performance Center M&P Shield Plus (it's what I shoot the best out of all the tiny pistols and what feels the best in my hands).
2. Sig XMacro Tacops (doesn't have a comp but comes with a longer barrel, more mags, extended slide lock/release, and flared magwell)
3. Glock 19
4. Sig P365xl
5. Standard S&W M&P Shield Plus
If I get more experience or get to try the Shadow Systems or Canik offerings then my list might change.
Do you have big hands?
S&W 😂 no
All this talk about conceal carry and not one single example of the pistols being "carried".
I love it
Troon shooters in TN agree.
.380 is a WHIMPY rd. Period! 9mm/35 cal is bare minimum as even a backup firearm But 38s +p is where anyone should really start. .357mag...Stopping power NOT just penetration!
@@robertkeller9828 I'm sure you wouldn't wanna get hit by it
@@robertkeller9828 yeah yeah yeah, anything less than 500S&W is whimpy, got it. Lol
Notice how its men and womens concealed carry and not non binary zeezir zim zit it isnt
Yeah, that should have made the list. Maybe Sarah hasn't tried it or she did and it wasn't her thing. I've shot it multiple times, though, and I intend to buy one.
My wife likes her 380 shield EZ.😅
The EZ also comes in 9mm
@@cyclecrazy227 yes, but it holds less rounds than the Equalizer. It's also longer in the grip IIRC.
What’s your take on the comp- functional or for show? I personally hated the snappiness of the 365xl
@@patc2515 this was awesome! Would you say in your expierence the Spectre Comp trigger is that much better than the Macro standard trigger?
Wait what’s a gun bunny
I think the Glock 43x should have been an honourable mention at bare minimum! It’s an awesome CC daily use item and can be modded without too much work for higher capacity!
Shield arms magazine is the best one i found! I mentioned it in my comment.
I carry a 43x with a few mods and i love that pistol. crazy they never mentioned it
I currently daily the 19x, the wife has the 43x which is plenty for her. But the 43x still has its purposes when I need it!

What did they adjust on your Canik? Recently purchased and feels a little off
Been looking at the MC9. What problems?
Why not tell everyone the issue you had?
Issue with the battery I believe
I disagree with their comments on the Hellcat sights. The "U" and "dot" is actually more intuitive and faster to aquire. My wife loves her Hellcat OSP and frequently outgroups my Gen2 G23 at 50' and under even with defensive 124 gr. +P
Maybe for you, not for the general population
the CR920 comes with a pinky extension now for the 10rd mag. The extended mag is 13rd. Basically the CR920 is a G43. with flush mag is same size but more rounds.
The G43X didn’t make the list at all? That’s really weird.
yeah the 43 doesn't really make sense when the x exists
Nowadays the 43x should have been listed instead of the glock 19... the 43x is literally a slimed down version of the 19
It makes perfect sense, with the CR920 on the list. It’s a better version of the 43/43x, in a 43 sized package.
@@JoshWillis1776 the 48 is basically a slim 19. The barrel length is about the same.
@@GhostNinjaTactical yeah I got a 48 over a 43x for the longer barrel.
P365 is a great gun. My EDC is a P365XL with 15 round extended mag and threaded barrel for that extra length. Feels incredible to shoot and super comfortable for everyday carry
My personal list would be:
1) M&P Shield Plus(my personal daily carry, want the PC slide to swap out)
2) Sig P365XL
3) Springfield Hellcat Pro
4) CZ P10C
5) M&P 2.0 compact(with the flat trigger)
I just purchased the Sig P365 X Macro as my first firearm about two months ago and LOVE IT! I've put about 1000 rounds through it and couldn't be happier with my decision. Very concealable, comfortable in my hands and great night sights. I shot multiple sub compacts before making the decision to go with the x macro. Glock 48, Helcat Pro, Walther PDP F, and the original P365. It was a very close decision between the Walther PDP F and the X Macro, but the magazine capacity and night sights are what made my final decision in favor of the Sig.
Any gun is a great gun . Happy you are happy
How much is the macro?
Like $900
Can I ask you about the Xmacro, because I want to get one but I hear that it is very vulnerable to corrosion.
@@kylereed6548 Oh, you carry the S&W M&P 9 2.0? That's really funny, that (the full size version in FDE with the longer barrel) is my bedside handgun
I'm surprised no Glock 43x/48 mos. If you're gonna carry a regular 43, the other two are much better options in my opinion.
Especially with the S15 or S9 mags from shield arms
A lot of people look at it as if you’re going to carry a 43x/48 might as well carry a 19. Now there’s so many other options that have the same or smaller foot print than the 43x/48 that has a higher capacity in standard OEM mags that people overlook them.
@@Timmy2Tough there’s a massive difference between the 43x and the 19, in weight, thickness, length, that’s why the 43x is so popular. With the S15 you get the same capacity as a 19 in a smaller lighter slimmer package
For the shield arms s15 mag do you have to switch out your mag catch or no
@@432Tx yeah you have to replace it.

Grip way too thin and small for a poppy little nine and a large hand.
@@DavidChatterton-j6bhave you ever shot one?
The Fn Reflex is possibly better based on preference.
Had my Hellcat for a while now. At first I was unsure of the curved rear sight , but it actually grew on me quick. 13+1 is adequate imo.
I went to buy the hellcat and loved it then see the pro came out and didn’t like it lol ended up with the 365x
I’ve carried a tricked out G19 for 16 years now. Still love it, BUT I just bought a Hellcat Pro and really like it. Especially in the summer here in the south. Very comfortable
I don't shoot my hellcat well enough for edc, always feels like it wants to jump out of my hands. Still a nice little pistol tho
Totally agree. I do prefer the red dot with the ability to cowitness.
My only complaint about these top 5 videos is pretty often you guys will choose 3 or 4 types of the same gun when you could discuss a much different option. Missing from this video off the top of my head.. lcp series from Ruger, the new Taurus, cz p10s, cz p01, a snub nose .38, Walther cc2 or pdp compact, Mossberg mc2...
pdp compact and cz 10 optic ready compact are very great options. much better than a hellcat or any s&w any model

I like how good this young man is with “gun safety”
Notice how he never points the gun at the young lady. Even when he grabs it from her to flash it around, turn it backwards and forward..he always keeps the barrel away from her🤙🏼
This is highly stressed during basic training in the military to avoid friendly fire during battle and even off the field.

Only downside is mags are 8 rounds.
would you recommend a 1911 as a concealed carry for a first-time handgun?
M&P 2.0 subcompact is underrated, I picked it over the shield plus.. 12+1 but also takes M&p mags up to 17+1, the grip feels better (shield plus feels like holding a deck of cards imo but I have big hands) and it has a pic rail for more light options.. throw an apex polymer flatty trigger on it then it also has a better trigger than the shield plus👌🏻
I had the 1.0 version (M&P9c), and it is STILL the flattest shooting 9, I’ve ever shot.
I have the original m&p compact and the 2.0 compact along with the full size. My shield plus gets all the love nowadays. Shield Plus, imo is the perfect size/capacity and you don't have to modify the trigger.
You can get 15 +1 for shield plus now .
The equalizer is a big improvement on the ez platform. And the cr920 extended is 13 round
I'm curious how the new FN reflex will stack up to the p365 variants. I'm also considering picking up a p365XL but then swapping the grip module for the shorter one from the regular p365 and running a flush mag in the gun for better concealment, 12 or 17 as backup.
I carry an fns9c all spring and summer. I absolutely love it. Takes the same mags as the 509 tactical too
The SIG Macro is #1 for sure. I've been carrying this as soon as it came out with the Tier1 holster. Incredibly comfortable, great size AND 17 rounds is elite
What did you carry before?🤔
P365X is the best Sig carry imo.
Agreed. I’ve been through many carry guns and at the moment my ultimate carry gun is a standard P365 with a 12 rd Wilson Combat grip.
Try the tactical trigger kit for the 365. Have them in my 365’s and it’s a huge improvement

Hellcat Pro for me all the way too.
How is the printing carrying that one?
Enjoyed the video.
My only feedback, I rented the hellcat, p365, and shield plus (agreed with trying to reduce printing). The p365 (10round with pinky extension) was top, shield plus was 2nd, and the hellcat (even though it had nice tech, did not shoot well). Actually recommend shooting a hellcat before choosing. I know this is all personal preference, grip and such. But if any place 'rents' guns it's a HUGE boon before a purchase.

Have it for the 365 XL. Game changer with the weights.
Yep I have it as well. Night and day difference. I meant I can't wait for the Macro version. I have heard its coming soon.
Loving my Taurus GX4 as my cc👌 Couldn't find my irons for it so I shot a Canik METE that was spanking new and nailed my shooting qualification for my CCW. Very impressed with the METE! Also, love the hellcat sights.
I use a Taurus g3c toro for my edc, I have the full side verison as well
#4-Shadow Systems, #3- Glock 43X MOS, #2-Hellcat Micro OSP, #1-Sig P365-380 But you guys forgot a couple of my fav's, the CZ P 10C and the Canik Elite SC.
What’s your opinion on the safety system of the P365 Xmacro, that being no external safety
Instead of the Glock 19. Try a Glock 48 or 43x with shield S15 mags
Nah more like 19 & 26 > 48 and 43x
I LOVE SARA, she's great!!! She has such a beautiful smile. MORE SARA PLEASE!!!! My carry rotation includes the MC9, G19, THE EQUALIZER, P365X. Great video guys.❤
I EDC a Taurus Millinium G2 9mm. Great gun, easy to conceal, little to no print, depending on placement.
What holsters you both carry with your top 5/ especially her
Clint got his butt kicked right out of the gate!
I already carry a 365x macro tacops but I always love to see more suggestions
How do you carry in that Batgirl suit
@@scotgarland7526 Strictly OWB on the utility belt! Lol
@@hune.badger86 nice 😆
Based on your list.
1. 365XL
2. Mete MC9 (Best trigger on the list. Surprising recoil control.)
3. Shield Plus (Glock 43 is just overrated.)
4. CR920 (Don't get me wrong. The EZ shoots very well, but the people we normally would prescribe the EZ for have a lot of trouble with that grip safety. Plus, Shadow Systems... Way better.)
5. Glock 19 (Default)
Personally, I would put the Shadow Systems MR920L at the top of the list.
That's great but be careful that it doesn't fire when it is in the holster. sigs are notorious for that
@@waholoopesorry74 pretty sure it was just the p320 that was known for that
I have both the 365XL and the 320C and love both guns.
Clint’s rockin’ the silver fox look. She knows who’s the CF daddy
What kind of holster do you use for the 365 macro for concealing?
I have the hellcat as my ccw and the canik sfx mete as my range gun! They both get the same number of rounds and abuse! Love em both and im learning to shoot both red dot and my traditional irons! It's a challenge but a fun one!
I also carry a hellcat. I love it! I call it the modern PPK for it's size and capacity
How is the Hellcat, is it really snappy? I was thinking of taking a look at the Mete MC9.
@@J.Young808 my friend and ex gf found it snappy it didn't bother me at all as far as recoil goes but the trigger itself was biting me. I think it was just my technique so I'm going to work on it more.
I've been carrying a Smith and Wesson mp 45 with a stream light and a shield 9mm for years. Wonderful firearms I'd recommend to anyone.
Can’t go wrong with shield. I sold my little while ago needed the money. I regretted it ever since
Great list for out of the box CCW firearms.
I'll chime in🤷♂
5. Ruger SR9c 9mm
4. Springfield Armory XDMe 3.8" OSP Compact 10mm
3. Springfield Armory Hellcat OSP 9mm
2. FN Reflex MRD 9mm (peanut butter)
1. FN Reflex MRD 9mm (jelly)
Now I have a question for you two specifically... His, and mine, least favorite to shoot is the Hellcat, not comfortable to send a few hundred down range.😏
The Hellcat is my EDC, and it has been for a while. Once I get all the furniture for Jelly FN, it will be my EDC.👍
Just bought my girlfriend the p365 xl comp rose. Do i need to get an xl holster for it or an x macro holster for it to fit
