81 from Tully to downtown has to be my favorite part. The twists and dives and the overlook from Onondaga nation is very nice. Made my own video going to Syracuse from Philly on my channel too.
Brings back memories 😊 we used to come from bklyn take I-81 to 690 and I90 to go to our daughter college(suny buffalo). 4 years straight we would drive to Buffalo at least 3 times a year 😊
This won't look like it does now in a year or two. The state will move I-81 to what's now I-481 and it will become the main route. Much of I-81 through Syracuse will be reduced to an expressway and most of the elevated portion through downtown will be taken down after years of public pressure to move the highway. Some changes are also planned to I-690.
