This makes me imagine what Orthworm would've been like if it was a Steel-type convergent variant of Wailmer & Wailord. For the record, when I say convergent variant, I mean what Wiglett is to Diglett and what Toedscool is to Tentacool.
For primape, I would have probably gone for that peaceful swinub eye look, and a simple smile. Like it had given up it's angry and cocky ways for a simple, peaceful afterlife.

Here is my concept for a Paras evolution which I posted to reddit a while ago. trueGreen! I know you generally design your own pokemon - but if this concept inspires you I would be honoured if you used it! Paras/Parasect are some of my favourite Pokémon! I know that they obviously have weaknesses, a LOT of weaknesses, with their double vulnerability to fire and flying along with their slothful speed stat - but that is part of what makes him fun since you need to use strategy. It made sense to have these drawbacks to counterbalance the fact that it was the only Pokémon who could learn the only 100% accuracy sleep move: Spore. They had this huge weakness, but they got an incredible move to balance it! ... then they started giving "Spore" to much more well-rounded Pokémon. Then they nerfed "Spore" so that some types were invulnerable to it! Thus rendering paras/parasect's weaknesses pointless and making it a Pokémon with no upside or draw (save for those like me who just love the concept and design)... I think to rebalance things they should give parasect a third evolution that is a ghost-grass type. It need have only a token stat boost, since the type change will pretty much rebalance things. Parasoul (This is a play on the prefix "para-" which connects the words parasite, parasol, paranormal, and paramedic. This name takes this common prefix and puts a twist on parasol (meaning "guards from the sun") and makes it "parasoul" as an allusion to the ghostly connections of the pokemon. It is also somewhat inspired by will-o'-the-wisps. Or maybe the name Parianette would be better since it is just an exoskeleton puppeted by the mushroom? I am not sold on these names. It is the following concept I love! This Pokémon could have a description like: "All remnants of the bug have been devoured by the mushroom, body and soul, leaving nothing but the exoskeleton. Parasoul wanders around, spreading its spores and draining energy from sleeping Pokémon using roots that come out of its mouth like pincers. It floats about using the luminous methane gas built up within its glowing mushroom, which also draws bug pokemon for the mushroom to infect or devour. Medicine made from its spores can bring one back from the brink of death, but collecting it is dangerous since this pokemon is known to use its light to mislead travellers to their doom in the misty marshlands it often inhabits." It could have an ability like: "Dream Seed: Opponents put to sleep by "Spore" have a 50% chance of gaining the "Leech Seed" effect when hit. Opponents seeded by "Leech Seed" have a 20% chance of falling asleep each turn." Adjust these stats as needed for balance. Or it could have an ability that actually capitalizes on the line's slowness: "Spore Cloud: Each time the opponent attacks before Parasoul, it has a has a 40% (or whatever is balanced) chance of gaining either the "leech seed" or "sleep" effect." It could also have something like, "Elder Spore: Grass type status changing moves affect grass types (or maybe all types)." This places Spore in line with its gen 1-5 level of power.
The backstory of Magmar should have been "They used to live in live volcanoes but the same volcano became inactive thus filling the with water making it adapt with this condition"
I am aware that Wailord is virtually weightless. Kinda the reason I made ground Wailord slower. Don't know why I wrote the "dying on land" line. Was just thinking of conveying the fact about real world whales. Peace.
Idea for a Pokémon: fighting type marionette embedded with supernatural fighting energies that have gifted it what would become modern capoeira skills. It is a Pokémon hundreds of years old, and people have built fighting styles based of its quick and agile kicks. It’s fighting energy would be found in the x-shaped mark on its torso that glows brightly until the day it dies. It would have the Limber and Inner Focus abilities
7:35 i made a similar slakoth concept (a year or so ago) this one was fighting type and the reson behind that was: "due to, being raized in a more competitive environment, the slakoths of this region have become more aggressive and combat capable" "after years of competitive breeding by combat obsessed trainers, the realeased slakoth and vigaroth took over the forest environment, throught violence and strength"
Dude, you’re exceptionally creative, and have fantastic logical grounding for your decisions. Not to mention your artistic skills are top notch! Loved the video :)
Funny thing about Wailord is that, and you've probably been told this already, if you take its height and weight and do the math to find its volume, they're actually less dense than air (hence being called the Float Whale Pokémon) so a Flying-type variant would also make sense.

"Naturally they would die, because it wouldn't be able to support its own weight." According to the Pokedex, wailord is less dense than air. It would just float.
I sat around with some friends doing randomized teams + Random Types just the other day. Your art is way better, so my infinite jealousy is now yours. Also, big fan of the metagross, and that thickboi is an all-time fav.
Alternate Regional Metagross Backstory: After breaking down and turning into stone over the coarse of thousands of years, Metagross becomes weak and brittle. Upon awakening, it is an entirely new species of Pokemon now, and is a basic Pokemon. It evolves into more refined and revived Metagrosses which are even stronger than regular, but are obviously harder to obtain, as they are only found in ruins and forests (eg Glimwood Tangle).
Looking back on this after SV, yes, Ground Wailord (Wirmlord? Drillord?) and likely Rock/Ghost MEtagross would definitely work better as "convergents"... *AND YOU PREDICTED ANNIHILAPE.* Although Annihilape is still angry, just able to control itself.

Primeape is my favorite Pokémon so this design is absolutely amazing!
Super cool concept and love the time and effort put into this video man. Great content, thank you for this!
*ghost primeape*
*Me seeing a ghost and fighting type evolved version of primeape in scarlet and violet*: wait I've seen this!
"Naturally they would die, because it wouldn't be able to support its own weight." According to the Pokedex, wailord is less dense than air. It would just float.
Hahaha, We actually ended up getting a Real Ghost Primeape form pokemon in Scarlet and Violet
Wow all of these have such a breath of fresh air, they are simple but original ideas!!
I need you to make like 9 more of these videos you are so detailed with it that itll surely catch on! This could be a mini series for you to work on!!
Your drawing skills improved so much since you started filming, Ron! So proud of my favorite poketuber
4:57 annihlape confirmed
I was gonna post that lmao
The last one looks amazing so awesome!♡ and the backstory and such was really good and amazing too! ♡
Finally - some more professional approach at pokemon youtube chanels. High quality content 👏👍
came from the future to tell ron that he predicted a gen 9 pokémon with his ghost type primeape
I sat around with some friends doing randomized teams + Random Types just the other day. Your art is way better, so my infinite jealousy is now yours. Also, big fan of the metagross, and that thickboi is an all-time fav.
Whales are mammals that ended up in the water... oh lord who’s gonna tell this guy
You just told him and you used it wrong smh
This man’s imagination and creativity is extremely motivating, I love all of the designs and background behind each of them. Keep up the good work : )
Ghost primape? What a peculiar idea. And they’d never make a 1pp move that revives a fainted pokemon
Seeing that Metagross made me sad I can't support you on Patreon
Damn you deserve everything and then some, you're amazing
Love this!
how do you have that sceptile emoji?
How did you get the emoji?
@@quanfrm340-YT I figured out, he joined the channel community so he got that exclusive emoji, click the join to see more
Alternate Regional Metagross Backstory: After breaking down and turning into stone over the coarse of thousands of years, Metagross becomes weak and brittle.
8:30 you're in luck, staurolite is shaped like the cross. Not that big, but it's the same shape. It's really one rock that undergoes a process called "twinning"
“It won’t live in deserts”puts a desert background
Ok, but grammar?
he said all deserts it lives in deserts without many pokemon or people if you wanna hate on him just hate or get hearing aids you saggy ass grandpa
You basically designed wiglett before wiglett existed
I really wish companies actually researched for things like this to get ideas
4:20 So it's a Landlord?
This series is FANTASTIC. I love this type of thing! Your designs are awesome and I've been looking for things like this to help me with my own regional variants I'm trying to make!
I was literally watching the story when this came up
bro predicted an actual pokemon
1:13 nice 👌🏻
I KNEW I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE!
"Because of deforestation Slakoths began lounging on power-lines, absorbing energy from them & slowly building up tolerance to electricity."
BRILLIANT
You bought me over with the primeape and the metagross. All of these have actual game potential but these two have such a good story behind em.
bro predicted gen 9 bro
Did you just predict Annihilape lol?
Ron: Mentions Zelda
Me: Smirks
Also me: PLEASE MAKE ZELDA INSPIRED POKEMON PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU YOU WOULD BE COMBINING MY TWO FAVORITE VIDEO GAME FRANCHISES PLEASE.
You mean, like, Galarian Gallade? `Or, Aegislash?
This dude makes some of the coolest and most unique Pokémon that I have ever seen
I’d love to see a Pokemon storyline where you can travel waaaay back in time to battle and catch early branches of modern Pokemon (like fossil Pokemon minus the rock type)
