Prof Dr Javed Iqbal is a surgeon with special interest in laparoscopic and cancer surgery. His professional qualifications are FCPS, FRCS, FACS, FICLS, MCPS-HPE.
He is one of the pioneers of laparoscopic surgery in the region. He has trained more than 50 surgeons formally as their supervisor and thousands more who have worked with him in various capacities during his four decades long professional journey. He is an official mentor of Royal College of Glasgow and International Course Director of American College of Surgeons for Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS). He is a well known medical educationist and has been a part of College of Physicians and Surgeons, University of Health Sciences and Nishter Medical University as faculty of medical education.He is on the reviewers panal of various index medical journals. He has more than twenty five research publications on his credit along with a book on surgery entitled "The Operative Surgery"He is a published poet, short story writer, critic and broadcaster. His current areas of effort are teaching and training of soft skill at various national and international fora. He is very active on social media and his team runs a very well subscribed youtube channel covering versatile topics& interests. He is regularly being invited on national & international TV shows for his intellectual contribution. He is an influential speaker. Millions of people are getting benefit from his videos on medical education, FCPS training, parenting, relationships, human wellbeing and various other social issues.
Govt of Punjab has recently assigned him the role of member, Punjab Health Policy Board.

*As historical texts and ancient history books, Multan was native place of ancient Mali ( Malav) Gana, who were residing in and around Multan and Sangam.areas of Ravi and chenab since time unknown in ancient Punjab.MULTAN derived from the Mali +sthan =Multan, place of Mali Malav people. Mali Malav people fought with army of Alexander in 326BC and Alexander started his malian campaign against them and attacked their fort like structure made up of mud near Ravi and a fierce battle was held and Alexander was seriously injured by an arrow of Mali Malav people, then his infuriated greak soldiers brutally killed Mali Malav people, their women and children, many Mali Malav women burnt themselves to save them from greak soldiers and this was first recorded jouhar in Indian history.After this defeat Malav Mali people migrated towards south east in present day Rajasthan and Malwa and further in Maharashtra and later spread in other parts of India*

Humne to padha hai ki malavo ke teer se ghayal hone ke baad Alexander ki sainikon ne use rath par dalkar Debal bandargah ki or bhage aur piche se Malavo ki sena khader rahi thi. Aur jaisa Maine suna hai ki Bayana Qila(Rajasthan) mein pahla johar kiya gaya tha yaduvanshi chatraniyon dwara.
@@balrammandal7382Dear Balram jee, As a senior citizen,I can suggest you to kindly study Encyclopedia Britannica (old version),other Encyclopedias and other authentic ancient history books and literature etc.,then you shall be able to reach a conclusion about history of ancient Mali (Malav )Gana ,ancestors of present day Mali caste in India and Mali Maliar caste in Pakistan. Jouhar means "Atmadah by group of ladies of a Gana in ancient time to save themselves from enemy soldiers as ladies were worst affected in any battle".It is also a possibility that much more "Atmadah " were done prior to these ladies of Mali (Malav) Gana, which is a matter of research.
