This hotel was a treat to stay in! I couldn't even tell you how convenient the location is when wanting to be right in the core of the city.
I probably could have sat by the window in our room most of the day just watching people walk through the Plaza de la Cultura while I sipped espresso by the in-room Nescafe machine.
Though the room we stayed in would have been better for a couple as opposed to siblings, everything else was fantastic (the bathrooms are pretty much open haha)
My favorite dishes from the restaurant were the fried cheese with a blackberry marmalade and the fresh mushroom soup that came with a chunk of warm puff pastry. It was to die for!
The breakfast buffet was easily one of the best buffets I've been to as far as hotels go, they had almost everything! Even freshly made green juice, guanabana juice, and more options that I can't remember, and the coffee was fantastic. They even had some traditional Costa Rican tamales to put next to your yogurt and Belgium waffles 🫠
If you ever have to stay in San Jose and have a little extra money to spend, I definitely recommend spending a night in the unique and historic hotel!
