One of the challenges I could see with the portrait drawing activity +3 characteristics as a cold open introduction is that those characteristics are based on superficial interactions and may lean towards some generic nice words. And I wonder what depth is really there as an introduction? I also wonder if it reinforces the habit of judging people based on appearance. I think there's ways to take the activity deeper, but then I don't think that makes for a good introductory activity.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Brandi., I hear what you're saying. As with all group activities, a successful program relies heavily on the facilitator's ability to judge the moment to use the right activity at the right time. And this is exactly what we focus on in our training and resources at playmeo.com.
