Amazing video! Wish more museums and trusts would make content this informative 😅

This is so well done and really gives us an idea of how the abbey would have looked. The music is beautiful too.
But reflect for a moment on what we have lost - not just architecture, but art, culture, history and society. It's enough to make you weep. Our poor nation - and especially Surrey - has been so ill-used, so diminished and damaged by the trauma of Dissolution and what came afterwards. We suffer the consequences still today - now, perhaps, more than in any time for the past 150 years.
Dissolution doubtless rid us, temporarily, of religious corruption and hypocrisy, but at what cost? In social terms, it paved the way for the gross inequalities we see in England today. According to the ONS, the wealthiest 10% of households hold 43% of the wealth, the bottom 50% hold only 9%. The richest 1% of households are worth over £3.6 million; the least wealthy 10% have £15,400 or less. England's all-powerful ruling class - financiers, politicians, lawyers, property magnates, tech barons - lack morals and ethical standards. We need a change - not a Dissolution but a Resolution.
Anyway, congratulations on a very thought-provoking video and explanation.
