Liam is still on the streets, one day he looks really nicely dressed clean clothes then you see him a few days later looking how he did on this show. I've never once seen Liam beg unlike all the others. Bruce I haven't seen in at least 3 months, saw him everyday for a year then one day he disappeared. Blue i've never seen around. The problem has got so much worse and the homeless community now in wolverhampton is a lot younger and heavily addicted to drugs. A few of the others shown on this show are still around but they look like they've aged 10 years you wouldn't recognise them.
They seem like lovely people that are just living a horrible lifestyle. It's not their fault, I'm sure of that. No one chooses this. We need more help for them. Get them off the drugs, whatever they may be, and give them a purpose, a goal, a meaning to their lives. They are lost and can't see the woods for the trees. I'm guessing many of them have a huge trauma in their lives which they can't deal with and use drugs as a coping mechanism. I'm sure we'd all do the same in their situation. I wish I had some money, power, or whatever so I could help them. My pound I give, when I'm passing, is just fueling this lifestyle and it benefits no one. There needs to be systematic and political change. These people aren't taking the piss, they have a serious medical, psychological and social issues that need addressing. I want to know people in this country are taken care of when they are going through the worse times of life. The lives these people have to lead is a ramification of a terrible, selfish and ignorant government.
it's a trap, if they sober up they what hell their life has become and just want to get high to feel better. they have no money home or job. If you have to live on the streets drugs make it easier
When you actually get to the root of the problem, there's more to it then simply being a down and out druggie. These people are alone, and the only friend they have are these awful drugs. It's so hard to see this. Being homeless myself a few years back, I know what they're going through, luckily I escaped the parasite and proceeded with my life. I just hope that these people can get the help and love they so rightly deserve. Great work as usual BBC Three! :)
These legal highs are so pernicious. The entire drug scene in the UK is changing rapidly. The old traditional model of drug dealing is changing. Today your drugs are just as likely to be delivered by the postman as they are to be bought on a street corner or a sink estate. Profit used to be driven by quality, as horrible as that sounds, it served a manufacturer to create good quality ecstasy. Now the profit margin is driven by sourcing cheaper precursor chemicals and creating the cheapest facsimile of a traditional drug of abuse. When I was a teenager I used to pass kids in the park smoking weed, now I pass kids lying unconscious in the park after smoking legal highs. Legal highs are definitely NOT safer. Be very careful, take care out there. Do the guys in this film look like they're having fun? Mamba is well named, it will envenomate your life.
you know, most of these people are quite nice and genuine people that have been led down the wrong path. that guy in the chimney sweep hat speaks properly and clearly without that typical slang accent and to be honest he deserves another chance at life
We are all responsible for the choices we make, he may have been a victim of a tough life but in the end it is him who decides to abuse these drugs, he had a choice and he made it.
finguest amen liam is my friend hes better now si im proud of him hes a genuine guy, nice comment watch wolverhampton spice attack, subscribe to my channel Theo kalitozee
How can anyone live a normal life when you're homeless or no stable background and support? I for one think it must be terrible for people in these circumstances. What a life. Good luck
It's either almost impossible or really hard to have a normal life while being homeless. I'm homeless and applied for college in September and in the meantime I'm staying in a shelter. It's not really the most ideal situation. Neverthelesa I would love to start working again. I'm disabled due to chronic depression.
Well done Liam and Blu for getting off the Mamba ! That's not an easy thing, but you made the right choice and I wish you both all the best in your lives. As for Bruce, I hope someday that you will see the light and will want to get off Mamba and alcohol as well. God Bless you all always.....
I must say, homeless and addicted to drugs, their dogs look in amazing condition and so happy. Sometimes these people give the very, very, very little they do have to their companions. I want to know if Liam and Blue still don't smoke and what their doing
@Ready 2 be Betty Some of their dogs are in better condition than dogs I know that live with people who have homes. Those dogs look anything but suffering so why take them away?
all started cos of mdt's in jail (mandatory drug tests). weed stays in ur system for long but spice doesn't or didn't show up on tests. I think it does now. it's also dirt cheap you can buy an ounce for 40-50 quid and make a grand off it in jail (rough estimate I ain't worked out the profit)
All the best to Liam and Blue, i truly hope your lives go in a better direction and you feel contentment, sad that Bruce cannot move forward, one day hopefully.
I used to smoke LEGAL HIGHS for 4 yrs! ... But i stopped bout 7 months ago and it changed all my life! my relationship with my family. I've got more money to spend on thing that i really need in my life!!! I HAVE GOT MUCH BETTER LIFE NOW! it all depends on you! if u want to stop it than u can!
I used to smoke it for a while too until the store I bought it from got busted. The website I used it down too. Now the spice you can buy in the US is normally dumb rehashed shit that won't even get you high anymore. I would still be smoking it if I could find it. It wasn't that bad.
Black mamba (if used for first time) Can cause the most frightening experience of any drug. Up to about 2 weeks ago, i had no desire or interest in this zombie drug plaguing our towns and cities. Ive never smoked the shit as i seen people who have. That is until one night two weeks ago when a friend passed what i thought and what he assured me was just a weed. But because i was a mamba virgin while he was used to smoking pure roll ups of the drug. As you can imagine, just two puffs and everything started spinning. The horrendous intrusive and surreal thoughts go thru your mind when you are under the effects of such a potent drug to the novice were scary. Plus it was 2am, in the middle Brum city center and he left me passed out alone and defenseless in a subway not fifty yards from my house. When i got home and looked in the mirror my face looked like it had been forced thru a wood chipper. Not to mention two fractured ribs. What kind of degenerate does that to another human being....smh What really annoys me tho is the fact that, if i take a simple 10-15 minute walk in any direction of my town i can find someone that could get me any class A hard drug known to man. Such as mamba, heroin, crack cocaine etc.... But ask anyone where to get a simple weed, or an old fashioned LSD trip/Ecstasy tab, people look at you like you have two heads! Or your asking them where to find plutonium. The world has gone completely down the sewer as far as society is concerned. And your countries government/leaders dont gaf. Infact, it suits them to have a braindead subservient population that can be sent off to internment camps, thus de-populating nations without any resistance. Because the weak are so far gone it will be simple for the worlds elite leaders to do whatever they want to. Just like now! Ffs people, wake up and smell the putrid corruption thats plaguing our town, and cities before it really is too late....
Michael Heath I smoked “weed” for the first time but turns out it was Black Mamba stuff because my friend told me it wasn’t really weed and it called mamba but it was like weed so we smoked it and really didn’t have a bad experience.. I really just zoned out for a while then remembered I smoked and was chilling and we went around doing random little things... but this was a solid 10+ years ago so it could’ve been not as strong, plus I didn’t take a huge hit as it was my first time smoking anything
Funny how you pronounced cannabinoid wrong when your profile picture is the structure of a substance. But I just realized you were making fun of his accent lol. 😂
My husband picked up the habit in prison....we had been together and been thru alcoholism, drug addiction, homelessness and eventually a good life, he went to prison for 3 years after a relpse on alcohol, when he got out he wasn't the same and it got way worse, his mind is gone, our marriage is over and no one has heard from him for weeks....I miss the man I married....my soul mate, my best friend. Come home when you get tired Chevy....that's him and I during good times in the pic above.

Very touching story...I hope that Liam is a part of his son's and daughter's lifes now .I wish that more addicts could see things from the side of their loved once ,it's very hard and challenging to be next to an addict and try to help them out,it's extremely painful, especially when they withdraw and go back to this horrible world ...which is part of our world and it will be a huge thing if we can all make an effort.Stay strong Xxx
I'm from Wolverhampton,I worked in security for nearly 30 years.I had to deal with a lot of drug addicts who were mainly stealing to feed their habits. It was very upsetting at times, because that's was one of their main money resources to get their drugs.
I use to smoke k2 and I thank God that one day I almost died. And since that day I never smoked that again God have me a second chance and I took it joyfully.
Seeing these men in their addiction is truly heartbreaking. Bruce really touched me, so sad to see people who believe they don't deserve a better life. Here's hoping that they will find recovery and happiness and a better life one day..
I've been around all of these guys (except blu) for the last 6 weeks and they are all cool to be around. I don't drink or do anything drugs. I haven't smoked herbs for 7 years. Bruce is a conscious man even though he smokes mamba. Got mad love for the brother. The reality is there is a pisspoor lack of help for the homeless and struggling to get back on their feet. charities locally are doing lots but its nigh on impossible to get a good start. prison is comparably better than road. the homeless are treated worse than criminals and getting high or drunk is a way to get thru the day.

they usual market them as room deodorisers and mark them as not for human consumption as a way to get around liability laws. everyone knows what they actually are for however.
All I could hear in this documentary is BAN LEGAL HIGHS. Which I partly agree with, but when bannign legal highs, the synthetic cannaboids especcially, cannabis and many other drugs need to be legalised.
+jacob davies yea but if that was the case everyone would be smoking weed but in reality people want to feel a different high than weed.,.. weed just substitutes the high most people look for and im saying most not all.
The really insidious aspect of synthetics, in my opinion, is that the chemicals used are constantly changing. Specifically, as they continuously evolve to stay ahead of the law, the user seems to be in constant withdrawal, even when using. Their bodies likely respond to the slight tweak in the chemistry, knowing they are not getting *exactly* what they want, but something similar enough that the withdrawals partially go away, but never really do completely. I'm sure that's mentally traumatizing.
Great to see Liam was off it for 2 months, I hope hes still clean, you can really see the misery and pain he suffers that he hid just by the look of his eyes, he really wanted to change, upmost respect to you Liam, I'm a cannabis addict, Id never substitute for synthetic cannabis but I have just as much issues coming off cannabis. During the day I can go without it no problem, but at night time I cant rest or shut my brain up which lead to me being dependant on it. I know how hard it is just for a normal cannabis smoker, and synthetic would be 100x worse, so you have my full respect for being able to take control of a problem way bigger than mine that not even me can take control of the smaller problem. I wish you all the best mate stay clean and be there for your family, you're a good guy!

Any idea how Liam is doing? Lived in Wolves myself for a while. Warm, funny, down to earth and generous people, sad to see these guys living like this...
I live in Wolverhampton and I see Liam and loads of other addicts all the time. 3 years on, he's in the same situation, still on the streets because the system doesn't work. Theres an extent to how much support you can get and how much effort you can put in yourself. 9 times out of 10, people are stuck in the cycle of homelessness and addiction and can't get out of it, until eventually they overdose.
'Technically' probs are Homeless. Most have a Partner/PlaceS to stay & live @ however to me that's not Homeless tbh. Also PLENTY of help available tbf. Staying Sober in same area long is rare.
He's still on the streets because he's a junkie bum that keeps making bad life choices. Stop demanding daddy government help you every step of your life.
Saw him about 6 months back walkin thru wolvo Town, he was with a nut job and the nut job was shouting abuse at a person raising money for charity playing an instrument. He still looked rough/homeless. And Bruce is still also homeless and begging.
It takes being on the streets and living that kind of life to answer your question, bud. Money is easy to come by... but help, isn't. I know it's contradictory, but if you've lived street, you'd understand.

I am a heroin addict myself - or ex now. However, I never lived or acted anything like this. I am NOT trying to put myself above anyone else here. However, my house was always clean and tidy with all the usual things in it that a house has. You would NEVER know I was a heroin addict by my appearance. I present as a middleclass, white, fairly well spoken, moderatley successful female. Programmes like this always show the worst of addicts and I really don't like it.

"pernicious"...nice
Excellent analysis of the current state. I made it out right at the tail end of the pharm bubble in the US
The postman can deliver good drugs like shrooms sometimes.
Seems to 'ave calmed down since 'Lockdown' tbh. Obv' still about & gotta be careful since ban. Just mainly Gear heads about nowadays.
you know, most of these people are quite nice and genuine people that have been led down the wrong path. that guy in the chimney sweep hat speaks properly and clearly without that typical slang accent and to be honest he deserves another chance at life
We are all responsible for the choices we make, he may have been a victim of a tough life but in the end it is him who decides to abuse these drugs, he had a choice and he made it.
He chose that path..
Try having a alcoholic in your family. Then you might understand the real reason people do drugs.
Yes because in the grand scheme of things. Competition is just what we need between drug users. LMFAO.
