I'm so glad i finally have a tribute to him! Now when i'm sad i can play this vid and fangirl all over again.
I wanted to consentrate not only on his badass side, but also on his sensitive side which he showed quite a lot throughout the seasons and there is a lot more to come in S6. Also i'm really looking forward to your feedback or to your Quinn/Querrie related comments, please, just please don't be mute. I'm always open to Quinn conversations.

and sad, and miserable, and totally heartbroken , and angry.
now I know what chest pain over a fictional character feels like , this happened to me for the very first time though.
I wanna scream at the writers WHAT THE FUCK???????????????????????????
it was so stupid , and needless, and only for a shock value for the second year in a row.

I understand the pain, I also feel it.
However it's understandable that he died, the arc was over.
This season we got Rupert Friend's best performance, and Peter Quill had one of the best character developments of the season, even the series.
There was no reason for him to continue in the show, he was miserable, had brain and body damage, and couldn't perform the way we were used to.
One more season of him limping and stuttering would be too much and would end up with him becoming a character without any weight or relevance.
This way he went out a hero, like he should. It's sad, yeah, but it was the only way to end him.
Dunno why, but every 2-3 months I come here and watch this video. And it tickles my spine EVERY FUCKING TIME! Amazing job with the video!♥️

When Peter confronted Carrie about how she woke him up from his coma and caused him to have a major stroke, that really shattered me. He wanted to go out quietly and was ok with dying, but when he lived again with that disability, it killed me watching him live everyday like that. Despite all that, he always did good to Carrie. He defended Franny in that state of his to the best of his ability. It was tragic what happened to him in the end, but even then, he went out with pride and did again what he always did best.
RIP Quinn. You were the best, and now it's time to rest!

Facts!
I akmost wish they would have just ended Quinn at rhe end of Season 5. To drag it out for a whole year and make him suffer and then BAM kill him off at the end was cruel! Still sad :(
I think his death was good, he had gone through so much and finally his last action was to protect Carrie and Keane.
Quinn was my favorite character. I was devastated when he was killed. His passion for his job and his love for Carrie was bar none. He faced so many insurmountable challenges. I honestly was hoping he would not die. Homeland is not the same without Quinn. I can honestly say this is the only series I have ever watched where I was so moved. I felt as if I had lost a family member. I sitting here typing recalling his death and tears are welling up in my eyes. I will never forget Quinn, you never got the credit you so truly deserved. You are missed now and forever.

I am a late starter to watching the series. Rupert Friend did a most amazing job portraying this beautiful and complex character. I loved everything about Quinn and was so very sad to see his end. Thank you for creating this great video of him.

It left me really sad when Quinn died. I cannot explain why but it touched my heart. That maybe sounds weird but it shows to me what a top acting this character had.

I adore Quinn. His honesty about his own pain makes him irresistible. He calls Carrie out which I love . I love is strength and his incredible courage and sensitivity and integrity and intelligence. He is also vulnerable and handsome. He's got it all. He is fascinating and complex. The PERFECT MAN. Homeland is the best drama I have ever seen in my life intelligent accurate and relevant. I'm not a movie tv person but I am obsessed with this series. On top of that I am bipolar 2 and have actually done some of the same identical things as Carrie has done. I was blown away when she had the one night stand and was sneaking out of the guys room and going through his wallet and took his money. My jaw dropped. I've done the exact same thing. Not any more thank God. But I had done it more than once and I was blown away because I look at that scene and thought omg that is me. I've never seen any scene like tat ever. It's like they've got me down. Such accurate information.
I keep reassuring myself that after Quinn died, he was resurrected as the hitman named Agent 47, continuing his work as an assassin until Carrie comes back and rescues him again, this time only to be together again and away from the murky world they had lived in earlier.

In Saul, Quinn sees a potential mentor-like figure. I think he develops a genuine admiration for and understanding of Saul in a way that he probably never admired Dar Adal and certainly does not respect Estes.
Out of all the badass spies I have seen over the years Peter Quinn is the most realistic one! I would have liked to see if Carrie would meet her match in Quinn. There were some romantic sparks between Peter and Carrie over the years, and there was the letter he left for her when he was leaving on a dangerous mission, the photo of her she found among his things after his death. Why do you think the romance between them never fully developed?
Because the writers weren’t interested in developing a romance between them... Unfortunately
We can say that Quinn was one of the best-built characters in history - alongside Carrie, Saul, Brody and Dar Adal... It would be possible to clarify the following doubts:
- I would like to see Homeland reveal how the CIA explained Brody in Iran and his death to the American press. Clearly, Javadi being able to take credit for capturing Brody helped his cause in Iran, but did the US government reveal Brody's role in Akbari's murder? Was his name cleared for the CIA attack? I'd love to know what you thought.
- Another loose thread: Paul Franklin and the murder of the "real" CIA bomber. You just did that ... why ??
Carrie was publicly humiliated, beaten, doped, shot and put her life on the line countless times without hesitation, just to make others see Brody as she saw him ... and succeeded. Abu Nazir, the CIA, Jessica and the show's own audience, no one came close to seeing Brody with the clarity Carrie has always seen. Carrie has always read Brody like no one else.
Ah, Carrie's dialogue with Javadi was awesome, it will be one of the most memorable moments of the series, without a doubt!

- How did Carrie see Brody? and how did the US come to see it? It's the world?

I LOVED all the voiceovers and the scene choices, the way you matched things and showed parallels. And don't you dare pull yourself down for the song choice. Honestly, I don't think it could ever be too used. I instantly was overwhelmed with feelings when the video started because of the song choice. Obviously the subject of the video had already got me tearing up, but hey! more emotional torture. YAYY!

Thank you. Great video. Peter is my all time favourite character (TV, movies, books included). Favourite type of character, favourite topic Humanity vs Darkness of war. Gansa really doing justice to him so far. I was wondering what is Gansa's favourite book. Quinn is so realistic, I sometimes it feels like he's like real Person. Of course, Rupert has been doing fantastic work. So 3 months to go))) Miss him so much. Its hard to remember how dark was late December of 2015.

Now he's gone. The logical consequence of the entire season 6. All characteristics and actions allowed only this conclusion. He has saved life. So many. Now two more. He was hard, consistent and reliable. RIP John. Forever. Now a beacon on the mountains.

How will you rank his best seasons involved? Mine:
Season 4 - badass Quinn all over; depression to being the one of the main ops guy in Pakistan; defended the attack on embassy; true love for Carrie
Season 6 - the emotions and realness of the tragedy; the transformation from a PTSD, brain disorder junkie to a proficient, hungry, intelligent hunter/assassin; moments with Franny and Astrid; final blow to his journey - dying as an American hero
Season 2 - character introduction; mysterious assassin for Brody; change of heart at the end of season
Season 5 - the season which changes everything; broken hearted by Carrie; Jihad hunting; wrong timing being grouped to jihadists and the saddest moment of Sarin gas poisoning - fck that video
Season 3 - somehow more on the sidelines in the Iran/Brody operations all thru out; remarkable moments: cared and visited Carrie in the hospital & Venezuela assassin
Peter Quinn says something generally weird (e.g. “So I’m only half a moron,” “Like you’ve never seen a dick before,” “…stage five delusional getting laid,” etc.) now your heart explodes with love for him nonetheless.
I usually don't like to double dip but I've had some time to think about it and I'm saying Quinn is the most complex character next to Carrie. Across his character arc, we watch as Quinn is pulled between the light and his own dark nature. When we meet him, he's a cool customer with no reservation about pulling the trigger on those he's ordered to kill.
But in season 2, he's softened by his fondness for Carrie and by season's end, refuses to kill Brody for Carrie's sake. Across season 3, we see him becoming increasingly disillusioned by the mission of the CIA and by season 4 he wants out altogether, wants to be done with killing. I think at the end of the season, he's very well ready to shack up with Carrie and Franny and live a "normal" life. Unfortunately, when Carrie spurns him, his dark nature pulls him back to the thing he's good at. Still, I think we see this pull between the light and the dark within Quinn in lesser ways across his final two seasons and the two aspects of his character come together and resolve at the end of S6. In sacrificing himself, he both saves the woman he loves and goes out on the terms of a warrior, in battle.
We had a very well written episode that was made with the end in mind. The series failed a lot in that in the third year plot (except chapters 11 and 12), the fourth year is the point off the curve, in the fifth year it's back to good shape now. The first part was entirely dedicated to Keane's execution plan. With intense rhythm and suspense, we watched the unfolding that resulted in Peter Quinn's sacrifice.
Personally I liked Peter a lot and I believe he will miss the show more. At the same time, his entire bow seems to have been made for a farewell in style. Peter maintained his reputation as a "tough guy" and survived the biggest possible attacks even in a weakened state, and died saving a president from his own employees who plotted nothing less than a coup against her. A style coup to those that the United States supported in Latin America over the past century, as Saul well remembered in one of the episodes. As one of the protagonists, Quinn bids farewell in a completely opposite way to Brody, with all possible honors, becoming a much more prominent star than the humble star Drawn by Carrie at the end of the third season.

Quinn sadness got to me
Watching him after he got gassed felt like watching MJ playing for the Wizards. I'm binging Homeland now. I'm on season 6 Ep 10. He is still alive and doing big things considering he is partially crippled and more than slightly brain damaged. But seeing him getting high with hookers and letting junkies get the drop on him was maybe the most depressing TV I've ever seen. I did see the posts that he died but I assumed that was coming. I actually thought it was his time more than once this season but he be lassin'. He is not an easy man to kill and when it finally happens it's gonna be a major downer. Great show btw!
Just finished Season 6. I knew fairly early on in the finale how his death would play out but it was still hard to swallow. It was a fitting end though and a speaks to what an amazing agent/person he was. I always figured he would die protecting Carrie but to also give his life to save the President-elect was the noble death that this man deserved. It feels like he can finally rest now and he died doing what he was best at - protecting his country. One of my favorite TV characters of all time.
