How much time it will take?
Mam I had self ligating braces put on for nearly 3 years as i had overjet and a slight overbite with crowding of teeth as well. After my orthodontic treatment i was supposed to wear a retainer but i didn’t wear one.. Now after two years ive looked that my teeth have moved back to their pre orthodontic treatment position.What should i do now????
Go and get braces again , and this time dont get your braces taken off just leave them braces on your teeth and your teeth will always be straight
Retainer should be worn lifelong. Atleast wear them when you are sleeping.

Hi dear i am 35 years old andmy gums health is perfectly fine. I never face any dental issue except un aligned teeth .my dr. says that my teeth cannot hold braces bcz micropores are not appearing on my teeth so i should go for clear alignment trays and there is no need to change the trays every 2 weeks. I ll wear same trays for 8 to 10 months. Please share your thoughts on it because it doesn't make sense to me. Thanks

I've had the metal ones for 3 years, and got them off in September. When I first got them, they really really hurt, eating was so painful even the softest of foods were unbearable. Drinking cold beverages, helped get rid of the pain for a couple of seconds until I stopped drinking and then the pain was back. It really sucked, and I had to deal with that for 3 years of getting them tightened. Now, I'm stuck wearing routianers which are annoying but once you get used to wearing them, they start to become easier to wear.
