I write my own songs and sing them as well but I can’t play music which sucks bc I feel like I could really touch some lives bc my songs are all inspired but life events that we all go through
Having the same issue. I was introduced to GarageBand and I lost my mind and became a writing fool…lol but I don’t play either but until a change comes I will continue to write.
for both of you i am music producer, send me your vocals and work, i will do first track free and we split the roalties @@rikeetaedwards7906 let me know ?
Hey, I don't know how far you all are on the Christian Spectrum though I know many labeled artists featured here (Ledger as an example.) Are. I could, really use prayer. This is a desperate cry as I feel so heavily called to music yet I can only write lyrics. Instruments I always struggled with and trying to find others with the vision of telling stories is hard. If your team could give wisdom or encouragement that would help alot. Also; thank you guys for every video you upload! When I watch I am so blessed with knowledge.

Hello there, I make relaxing music and upload on youtube, I am planning to release on main platform like spotify, apple music and so on, if I upload music on youtube after releasing on main platform, I am wondering if I will get copyright claim automatically, how I make it possible that I will not get copyright claim when I use my own music on both? Thank you !!
Yo wassup! Do you need to create a Spotify account before you release your music through these distributors? Or once they release it, will it automatically create a new profile?
With some distributors -- can’t releasing one song at a time be expensive? I mean - if they charge me per-release rather than per-track, I probably cannot _afford_ to release one song at a time.
What if I don't want to support Spotify? They rip off artists and you barely make any money off of it. As a professional producer I rely on making money off of my music wich is possible via bandcamp where you can actually sell music. How would your tips look like when using bandcamp instead of spotify? I am working on my debut album and I am nearly finished. I worked on it for about a year and need to make some money off of it now to be able to finally pay all the bills.
Awesome vid, thank you Seth!

Hey Crusader Leviathan - I hope you're ok. Are you still writing music now?

Somewhere there is a singer who can't write lyrics but can play/sing :) Find them! That's what Elton John did.

If I'm the main artist on a song but there's another artist featured on it (like a collaboration), can I submit it to Spotify playlists?
What about tunecore , symphonic distribution or ditto ? They aren’t good ?
TuneCore I’ve had good experience with - don’t know the other two
Yo wassup! Do you need to create a Spotify account before you release your music through these distributors? Or once they release it, will it automatically create a new profile?
That’s a good question. I’ve been trying to do this right and my head is spinnin. Glad these vids exist.
Did you ever get a answer to this question?
Is this material still applicable or relevant now?
Is there any site that you can sing and it picks up the tune with instruments
Look for a professional studio producer in your area they can help you with the melody!
What about when you don't aspire to be the main artist? Will the A&R's, publishers, etc...even care if I'm not aspiring to be an artist anymore?
Hi Doug! You do not have to be an artist; even people who do want to be an artist do not get the attention of music industry professionals.
Was this comment correct? Do get, don't get attention?
Thanks Seth! What are your thoughts on submitting to private Spotify curators? yay or nay?
If you get on big private playlists it can Definetely all add up! Seth
Thanks for the reply bro! 🤘🤘

Hey how about dealing with two artists who have done all songs together ? Different profiles or ???
We encourage doing collab releases for this reason

Do I need to get Song Trust too?
Yes, for international royalties. Especially if it's pop music.
Yo buddy, you give too valuble information for free! You should have more likes!
Tunecore or Distrokid which is best?
distrokid
Dropping a song for the first time in years, I hope I'm better then before...I dropped a video on my RUclips page

I hate Spotify as much as the next guy, if not more, but beggars can’t be choosers, dude.
This made me more lost tbh
Me: *thinking should I be a artist or a singer*???
1. Copyright the song
2. Register the song with a PRO.
3. Affiliate yourself with music reports
What is register with a PRO? U mean recording it in a cd or album? And what is example of music reports
Define “Pro.”
I am not an artist. Writer only. All my songs are Demos no named artist given. Does this disqualify my songs. Demos are contract for hire.
Pitching to editorial pls won't be successful cause they want you to bring the audience (if You have not any)
Submit unreleased music? That sounds like financial suicide.
Man this guy is so stiff
