Same here! My little munchkin is a great night sleeper but only catnaps. I spend all my time trying to follow a routine during daytime and fail each day. :(
Wow, I am so jealous of how much your little one sleeps!! My son is now 6 months, he has never napped for longer than 45 minutes (on a good day!). I never have time to do anything during the day - the evenings are now when I clean and wash clothes etc. He also gets up at 5am!
I'm 31 weeks pregnant and your videos are so helpful! you are so chilled and down to earth and I really hope I can be as good as you once my baby daughter's here. Thank you for all your tips and advice! xx
Please keep doing the baby routine videos. They are so helpful for this new mama. I just stumbled across your channel and subscribed after watching your video for 5 minutes!
I just got my little 3mo on a schedule like this and it works great! She needs shorter intervals of it all for closer feedings.. but as long as she never gets over hungry or over tired it's a great day!
I do think it's a good idea to have a routine for baby and for yourself. Jackson is adorable, his little expressions melt my heart and those little noises he's making now 😘❤️ xxxxx
Hi Emily, since giving birth to my daughter Sophia on 29 January, i have watched many of your videos and found them so helpful. I am also based in the UK. Sophia is approaching 3 months and the one issue I have is her daytime sleeps. In earlier weeks she did a lot of cat napping. Then it changed a bit and she would sleep between 20 mins - 1.30 mins here and there. I would always let her dictate when she wanted to sleep. But in the last 5 or so days she would be awake for an hour and sleep between 30 mins - 1 hour. Instead of giving the usual cues (eye rubbing, ear grabbing, yawning, being still, not making eye contact), she cries very hard. So it's been difficult understanding what she wants! The only thing that would get her to sleep is the pram. But I don't know how long my husband and I can keep pushing it around and it might make things difficult as she becomes to rely on it. I just came across your video thankfully and thought - right! I'm going to change things up with her daytime routine starting today. So we got up around 6.40am and she had her nappy changed and was fed (I am 100% breastfeeding). I swaddled her again and returned to bed as we usually have one more sleep before waking up. I don't know if that is the right thing to do so I took her for a walk around the flat, did tummy time and let her play on the mat until 8.15am. I decided to use your schedule as a guide. We returned to the bedroom and I swaddled her and put her in the cot (she never sleeps in this during the day). She resisted and cried but after shushing and rubbing her for a couple of minutes, she fell asleep!! Omg i am so happy! Her eyes were heavy and again - I thought why does she not give me any cues? So I have a ton of questions.. How do you put a baby to sleep during the day? Sophia doesn't like the dummy. Should I get her a comforter? How do you get a baby to sleep for longer? The other day I saw her twitching around after 30 mins of sleeping so I rocked her (in the pram) and she must have entered into another sleep cycle because she slept for almost 2 hours (this rarely happens!). Should I follow a routine or let her dictate when she wants to sleep - given she isn't going through a growth spurt or teething, etc.? I feel like I need to establish a routine. What do you do if you have appointments around her nap times? Do you think i should let her sleep in the cot for all her sleeps? I thought she would associate night time sleeps with her cot and wonder if sleeping in it during the day will affect night time sleeps? Should I draw the curtains for daytime sleeps? The ones we have are pretty light so it's not dark at all in the room during the day. What about noise level? I would always put on the TV (in sitting room) or have 'Sleepless in Seattle' on Netflix as background noise so she knows it's daytime and it's not too quiet. Do you think daylight savings affects - baby's sleep? It's getting darker longer.. if so, should I get blackout blinds? Any other tips would be appreciated!! Thank you so much!
I'm new to RUclips and I stumbled across your videos! I have two girls, my youngest is 4 months. I'm completely hooked on your videos now and I feel they are part of my daily routine 😂😂. I'm also from Essex. So like following a fellow Essex mummy 😬😬 who is so down to earth and real xx
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm coping with my first son (2 weeks younger than Jackson) and I find your channel very useful. And following you maybe I'll learn how to be a good mom in UK (I'm from Italy and I need to learn a lot about how it works here with doctors and schools). And your sons are beautiful just like you.
It's so amazing how you can come up with an ideal schedule when you've got school runs, homework etc...I remember creating that perfect regime too, gotta do what works! Great routine 👌
I just wanna say, YOU ARE REALLY AN AMAZING MOTHER!!! I try to make a routine for my son but difficult as he still can't sleep through the night. He usually sleeps most of the time in daycare so kinda hard to get him sleep at 7pm. Thank you so much for your tips and hacks!!
Loved this video, now I have an idea of what to expect in the next couple of months, wish you had done one of these for when he was a new born onwards so I could have used the times as a comparison to my little boy ;) please keep doing the day in the life and routine videos as they are very helpful!
Love your videos, just one question...how did you get to this point? My baby (now almost 2) never slept in cot, never napped longer then 45 min and woke every 1,5-2 hours at night! Only changed when she was 15 months old Love to have a second one so if you could briefly explain how to get your baby in a routine with long sleeps that would be so helpful! Thanks x
My first child just turned 6 months old. I would have loved to have a similar routine at this age but it wasn't the case before 5 months. My little one could only nap for 25 min and needed a lot of assistance to fall back asleep. She is also still waking up 3 times per night to breastfeed. 😂 I was pretty tired when she was around 3-4 month old. I'm so glad that she's now becoming more previsible with her schedule now! 🙌
Loved this video - I have a beautiful little girl who is the same age as Jackson. Would love to see a new routine video for 6 months +! Also loved your skincare routine, do you have a makeup routine/products you use that you could film? Love watching you and your family 😊 x
Jackson with the singing noise is so cute. Harry has always been in a routine. I remember reading babies love routine, they like to know what's next. I think Jackson has changed again. You look really well Emily. Enjoying these vlogmas. Xx
Omg, your baby is so calm on your shoulders. Whenever I hold my 3m (almost 4m) old she’s always kicking and squirming and hates resting on my chest. I wonder when my baby will become chilled out like yours
Lovely video, was so hoping you would share his whole routine, going into the night time of how he is after you put him to bed at 7pm. If you could do a separate video on that, that'd be so helpful. X
Please could you do a video on sleep training baby Jackson, like is there anything you do to help him get to sleep so he can go from 7pm to 3am and basically how to establish a routine like you have... you seem to have your shit together haha! You have such a beautiful family by the way! Xxx
Hello emily... I just love your videos.. You are such an inspiration ❤️ Please share aome tips/vlog on how to develop feesing routine for a 3 months old baby... My baby girl is 3 months old and we dont have a feedong routine yet, but i need it very much because i need to start studying now.
Mostly these babies are not trained to sleep so long. They are born to be that way. So just accept the fact that you ( I mean me) have an active baby who doesn't like sleeping. Be patience and he'll be better when he grow older.
Your videos are my favorite to watch hands down! Also you look GORGEOUS always but even more gorgeous in this video. You are just glowing and I love the lip color on you! 😊
oh my gosh what is that amazing grocery buggy that accommodates small babies!? Is that standard over there?! I have no idea what to do here if I have to go to the grocery store because the buggies only have seats for kids who can sit up
Hi Emily, was waiting for this video from yesterday :) I have a almost 4 month old baby girl and I am struggling to get her to the routine, obviously every baby is different and this video motivates me to get her soon into a routine:) thanks for this video and BTW Jackson is so cute and loads of hugs to him Love from New Zealand
Hi Emily, first of all, being a new mom I love your channel, your videos are always so much fun to watch! I realize it has been a long time since you posted this video, but my baby is ten weeks old and I want to start an actual routine for her. I just wondered how you got baby Jackson to stick to it, because my Ella is usually fussy in the evenings and wants to be carried around. I have no idea how to get her to sleep (which is usually not before 11pm!) without feeding her or carrying her around. Sorry for going on so long. Thanks so much! Jules
I am surprised how our babies' routine is exactly the same. 🤗😊 Can you please share the brand name if the gray and red blanket you have covered around Jackson in this video? I just loved it. 😍❤
You're such a wonderful Mummy Emily. You're an absolute joy to watch. I'm due my baby no.2 in just over a week so all these little tips are great even for the future as you do forget things as my son has just turned 4 hehe xx
Can't believe how well he sleeps and goes between feeding! My little one fed every 3hrs for months and months and lots at night. You both look so healthy and happy! If I have another I will definitely try and get a routine going earlier!! Xx
I bloody wish W was in a routine. Even at 7 months he's not really in any routine. Whereas the girls were in a really good routine much earlier. He's getting there though slowly it's just night sleep. In the daytime he has reasonable naps now. The little sleep noises are so cute aren't they? X
+Katie Ellison Fraser sounds exactly like Wren and it was so tiring! Watching your vlogmas reminds me 😥 Fraser had a sleep association with my boob! 😂😱🙈 so cute I can always tell when he's tired! Xx
This was really helpful, thank you. Jackson is such a good boy. Eleanor doesn't like to nap. She's asleep now and will probably wake at 9:30-10am but that's it until about 10pm tonight! She occassionally naps in my arms but won't go to bed. Does Jackson fall asleep easily for naps or do you have a small nap time routine? Oh and Eleanor has just woken up, I obviously jinxed it by saying 9:30 xx
Hey!! I love your videos 😊 I can't believe how long he can go for his sleep from 7pm! I'm so jealous. I have a 14 week old and he doesn't go more then 4 hours at a time x
I've watched this before but I'm watching it again as a refresher now that my baby is just over 3 months old. The schedule we are falling into seems to be quite similar. I love the humming sound he makes when he is tired... so so cute. Do you ever wake him from a nap to keep on track with the schedule?
Dear Emily, Love your videos they are so helpful. As a first time mum I really struggle with getting my 3 months old for a nap during the day. She sleeps so well at night (7-7) but the daytime naps are a nightmare. Could you suggest some pointers? Thank you so much xxx
Hi Emily. Love your channel and your energy. I don’t know how you do it with 3 boys. I have a 2 month old boy and a threenager and I’m struggling to shower or brush my teeth sometimes. >_< We are following tizzie Hall’s save our sleep routine and its very similar to your routine with Jackson. We also struggled with our first with sleep association and determined not to have it happen again. Got our baby boy onto a routine (though it was a struggle) and taught him to self settle. It’s only been a week and his been doing very well. Thanks for the great content
Love love love your videos!!!!! You seem like such a down to earth mummy!!! Your boys are lovely! I'm a mummy of 3 boys also iv just had my 3rd baby boy 6 weeks ago, so we're slowly very slowly getting in to some sort of routine! I'm jelouse about your little man going to bed nice and early though hehe :) also totally love your videos where you organise things and give ideas! Iv used lots of them!!!!! thank you!!
Hi Emily. I love your videos ❤ as a new mommy with a 9 week old Im learning lots from your channel. I was wondering when your boys were little did you try stick closely to this routine everyday (obviously with flexibilty), for example on weekends or if you were on holiday? If you didnt follow the routine then would it affect the boys behaviour. My baba gets so grumpy if he doesnt sleep enough in the day. I am trying to get into a routine but when I go out during the day with him its hard to stay consistent.
I wish my 4month old Jaxon slept like your Jackson. He only does on a rare night. Have been trying to establish the same routine with him.. but he still wakes up multiple times during the night.
Our sons are the same age and are both tummy sleepers! We have a similar routine, but my boy has shorter naps so he sleeps more often. I'd love for him to sleep longer, but cant complain since his nights are very good...even though i have to help him go back to sleep a few times a night by giving him a soother.
you have a great routine but your baby is also perfect lol my baby is such a bad sleeper ; We try to have a routine but i have to hold him for all his nap; and at night i cannot put him down i have to hold him or keep him glued to my body !
Hi Emily, I watched all these videos ages ago before I even had my baby! Now I have a beautiful 3 week old little boy 💙 love a routine. How did you get him into the routine to start with? Xx
My baby is only 2 months but he just doesn’t like to go to bed super early. I’ll take him upstairs for his bedtime routine during the 7pm hour and most of the time he’s not asleep till almost 10
Hi Emily, have you filmed a newborn routine? If so could you link it please. I love your videos and have a 6 week old but we need a routine and I'm sure I'd find yours really helpful x
+Emma Howard hi Emma I didn't really start any routine until he was 8-12 weeks old and it was this one really. Before 8 weeks I found it so hard to do any routine xx
My baby just turned 3 months today and thaaaankfully she sleeps from 7 till around 7:30 BUT I’m having trouble with getting her to nap for so long during the day. She naps in 45min chunks. 4-5 times a day! Driving me a bit insane cause my days revolve around putting her down for a nap 😂 Any tips to get the baby to nap for a bit longer? Highly appreciated! 😁
Thank you for your routine, I have a baby who is one week younger than Jackson (my second baby) and need some help getting her into a routine now (hopefully) she is getting over her colic :(
Oh, it would be glorious if my almost 4 month old baby would take long naps during the day!! She sleeps for 30 minutes 2 or 3 times a day. I try to get her to nap, but she never falls asleep. She's been like this for a couple months now at least.
Great video thanks for the tips on setting great daily routine. My son is a good sleeper at night, but during day I can't get him to nap much longer than 20-40 mins depends on the day, any tips for getting those longer nap times? My son is 3 months old and would love a bit more time during day to get things done!
Hi Emily, I would love if you made a video about your babies sleep, sleep training for or against, if they are able to fall asleep on their own, when they first slept through the night, differences from one baby to the other, and so on... I believe you do not let Jackson sleep while feeding and I was curious about how you go about it. By the way, my baby's name is also Emily. Lovely name! 😄 You look fab in this video with the matching top and lipstick 😍 Love from New Zealand
Hi Ane, love your daughters name! I actually fed my first to sleep and he was a terrible sleeper! Watch this vlog on my experience ruclips.net/video/AOqKw11AEEs/видео.html
Can you do a video of your naptime routine with Jackson? I tried to put my daughter down sleepy but awake as a newborn and it never worked particularly great.
+TheVisga I was the same with my first but he was a terrible sleeper and still isn't great now. They have to be awake to learn how to get themselves to sleep but it's hard at the beginning xx
I recently started watching your videos and now I can't stop! Love your family so much! Never stop doing videos. Hugs and kisses from buenos Aires! ❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼😚😚✨
Have you got any videos on your experience with breastfeeding? I'd be really interested if you were willing to share how you progressed and got Jackson to sleep through with one feed. I'm a mother of a 4mo boy and on a good night he feeds 3 times.
hi Emily u r amazing... i love your way how manage u three kids nd ur daily work tips..please tell me some tips ...how we keep ourselve active whole day with kids
Thanks for this video.. My son is 3 month old, and putting him to nap during the day is like a battle sometimes. He gets fed, plays, gets very tired, and then he cries so much until I put him in a car seat or baby carrier to fall asleep which is bad... I tried to put him gently in his bassinet and he NEVER nap in it (he only wants to sleep flat in his bed at night. I am so tired getting him to nap during day time. Can you give me some advices how you put your son to nap? Do you have a video to show?
Thankyou for such a great video. My baby’s schedule is very similar. She’s 4 months next week 💗 my question is- my in-laws do Friday night dinner at 7pm at their house. Olivia sleeps by 8.30 for her overnight sleep. So it really isn’t enough time to head out only to rush home. Is it okay to ditch going to these things? I get a few comments like ‘the child needs to fit into your life not the other way around’ she’s not a huge fan of napping/sleeping out of her own basinet so I’m torn xo
I think I will be all about a routine this time, got to be what with school runs etc! Can I ask when you started implementing the Ferber method? Both of my kids so far have always been such boobie monsters - one of the reasons why we aren't doing bed-sharing this time! Jackson is such a chilled baby and getting really chatty. Why do they grow up so fast though! xx
I love how chatty he is !!!!! He is such a lovely baby !!!!!
Wow! Mine probably sleeps 10hrs! I spend the entire day just trying to get her to nap! It’s exhausting
Same here! My little munchkin is a great night sleeper but only catnaps. I spend all my time trying to follow a routine during daytime and fail each day. :(
Oh I wish my boy had such a good routine
my son needs to learn to sleep longer than 30 minutes at a time first.
Wow, I am so jealous of how much your little one sleeps!! My son is now 6 months, he has never napped for longer than 45 minutes (on a good day!). I never have time to do anything during the day - the evenings are now when I clean and wash clothes etc. He also gets up at 5am!

I have a 10 week old and I have lost count of the amount of times I've watched this! Such a good goal post! Thanks for the knowledge 😍
Please keep doing the baby routine videos. They are so helpful for this new mama. I just stumbled across your channel and subscribed after watching your video for 5 minutes!
I just got my little 3mo on a schedule like this and it works great! She needs shorter intervals of it all for closer feedings.. but as long as she never gets over hungry or over tired it's a great day!
wow, you're so lucky having a baby like that. he fits in so well with the other boys routines. amazing and still so cute. xxx
I do think it's a good idea to have a routine for baby and for yourself. Jackson is adorable, his little expressions melt my heart and those little noises he's making now 😘❤️ xxxxx

Emily, you are such a great mom! You make me more confident that I'll be able to handle two kids when the next one comes. Routines are everything!
+TheVisga you totally will I think it gets easier the more you have! Xx

Aw little boy Freddie makes the exact same noise when he is tired! He only started it recently!
+daisy gorman it's so cute my husband always say 'we have a singer' time for a nap!

Dear Emily,
Love your videos they are so helpful. As a first time mum I really struggle with getting my 3 months old for a nap during the day. She sleeps so well at night (7-7) but the daytime naps are a nightmare. Could you suggest some pointers? Thank you so much xxx
that singing noise is so familiar all of our little ones kind of sing themselves to sleep it's really cute
You are a great mum, you really are an inspirational woman. Thank you for sharing with us :)
+Farzana Essak Thank you so much xxx
You look amazing. Baby is so alert and getting big. x x x
+Rebecca Forrester he is so wide awake now! Thanks for watching xx
Oh he is so CUTE!
Well done. Very helpful.
Awww I love your videos Emily, Jackson is such a cute baby xx
+Holly Webb Thanks so much Holly xx
Love love love your videos!!!!! You seem like such a down to earth mummy!!! Your boys are lovely! I'm a mummy of 3 boys also iv just had my 3rd baby boy 6 weeks ago, so we're slowly very slowly getting in to some sort of routine! I'm jelouse about your little man going to bed nice and early though hehe :)
also totally love your videos where you organise things and give ideas! Iv used lots of them!!!!! thank you!!
+Rebekah Fox Thanks so much Rebekah, we didn't have any routine until he was 8 weeks old :-) xx
Love your videos. Inspiring. Thank you for sharing. Jackson is such a good boy just like his brothers. Xx
+Sarshaparilla thanks so much for watching xx
aww thanks thats helped me loads especially as my cousin is having another baby soon
Such a great mum!
+grace 321 X Thanks so much Grace xx
I love your videos! You seem like such a sweet person and Jackson is so cute 😊
+Tessa Rops Thank you so much Tessa xx
I wish my 4month old Jaxon slept like your Jackson. He only does on a rare night. Have been trying to establish the same routine with him.. but he still wakes up multiple times during the night.
Wait. Your baby naps longer than 30mins at a time?? How??
Our sons are the same age and are both tummy sleepers! We have a similar routine, but my boy has shorter naps so he sleeps more often. I'd love for him to sleep longer, but cant complain since his nights are very good...even though i have to help him go back to sleep a few times a night by giving him a soother.
Sounds like your doing an amazing job xx
you have a great routine but your baby is also perfect lol my baby is such a bad sleeper ; We try to have a routine but i have to hold him for all his nap; and at night i cannot put him down i have to hold him or keep him glued to my body !
He's so cute! He's got such beautiful eyes.
Hi Emily, I watched all these videos ages ago before I even had my baby! Now I have a beautiful 3 week old little boy 💙 love a routine. How did you get him into the routine to start with? Xx
Totally enjoyed this video...my baby girl has a similar routine. ..good to know I'm getting it right lol
My baby is only 2 months but he just doesn’t like to go to bed super early. I’ll take him upstairs for his bedtime routine during the 7pm hour and most of the time he’s not asleep till almost 10
Wow so he's not fed between 7pm until 3am? That's such a good routine! My bub is 3 months and he still needs feeding every 3 hours overnight
Emily Norris thanks for replying! Ok great, makes me feel better that we're still finding our feet then. Looking forward to your next video x
Thank you for documenting that cute singing noise! My baby made the same one but I think he's grown out of it 😥
It was nice to watch this! Jack is now on only 2 naps a day xxx
+Gemma Jade That's nice as you can go out more etc xx
My baby just turned 3 months today and thaaaankfully she sleeps from 7 till around 7:30 BUT I’m having trouble with getting her to nap for so long during the day. She naps in 45min chunks. 4-5 times a day! Driving me a bit insane cause my days revolve around putting her down for a nap 😂
Any tips to get the baby to nap for a bit longer? Highly appreciated! 😁
Thanks for sharing:) Could you give any tips to be a happier mom ?
I have been waiting for this upload all day yesterday, call me sad, just got back from work to see this in my notifications box 😄😅
+Amy Webb Thanks so much Amy xx
I love your videos, there so soothing and calming to watch x
+hollie tiernan wow thank you so much Hollie xx
Wow. He sleeps from 7pm 'til 3am?! Whoah. My kid is 3months old. She falls asleep at 9.30pm & eats 2-3 times a night then wakes up at 7am.
My baby boy is 2 weeks younger than Jackson and this was very helpful! Thank you :) xx
Aw thank you so glad it was xx
Thank you for your routine, I have a baby who is one week younger than Jackson (my second baby) and need some help getting her into a routine now (hopefully) she is getting over her colic :(
Oh, it would be glorious if my almost 4 month old baby would take long naps during the day!! She sleeps for 30 minutes 2 or 3 times a day. I try to get her to nap, but she never falls asleep. She's been like this for a couple months now at least.
Love your videos and learning what to do with a new baby boy! Where are you earrings from?! I need them!
Where do you get your baby blankets from? They're always so cute!
Great video thanks for the tips on setting great daily routine. My son is a good sleeper at night, but during day I can't get him to nap much longer than 20-40 mins depends on the day, any tips for getting those longer nap times? My son is 3 months old and would love a bit more time during day to get things done!
Emily, I am a first time mom. My Jaxon is 7 weeks old. I know you have an older BFing video, but I was hoping you could do an updated one? 💙
My baby loves to be held and he starts crying whenever I put him down to his cott what should I do? I am unable to do anything
You and me both.
Definitely this video is very helpful... wanted some update for my little one just to check n compare so it helped a lot...
My son is almost six months and he still sleeps about sixteen hours a day.
You look fab in this video with the matching top and lipstick 😍
Love from New Zealand
Hi Ane, love your daughters name! I actually fed my first to sleep and he was a terrible sleeper! Watch this vlog on my experience ruclips.net/video/AOqKw11AEEs/видео.html
Can you do a video of your naptime routine with Jackson? I tried to put my daughter down sleepy but awake as a newborn and it never worked particularly great.
+TheVisga I was the same with my first but he was a terrible sleeper and still isn't great now. They have to be awake to learn how to get themselves to sleep but it's hard at the beginning xx
Thats wut my baby does. Puts her face on the side and starts singing and puts herself to sleep 😂
I recently started watching your videos and now I can't stop! Love your family so much! Never stop doing videos. Hugs and kisses from buenos Aires! ❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼😚😚✨
+Sofia Fernandez Thank you so much for watching xx
This video was great! Just wondering what you do to get your kids to self settle and if your bub uses a dummy?
Have you got any videos on your experience with breastfeeding? I'd be really interested if you were willing to share how you progressed and got Jackson to sleep through with one feed. I'm a mother of a 4mo boy and on a good night he feeds 3 times.
hi Emily u r amazing... i love your way how manage u three kids nd ur daily work tips..please tell me some tips ...how we keep ourselve active whole day with kids
He's growing up so much ✨💚
Thanks for this video..
Why do they grow up so fast though! xx
I just subscribed. It's been lovely watching your vlogs and how you manage so well.
+ wow thank you so much for subscribing! I feel like I finally have a clue what I'm doing on baby number 3 :-) x
Emily Norris I have a two year old and a seven month old. They have exhausted me. You have been such an inspiration.
Great video. I'm going to analyse Ascia's sleeping pattern tomorrow and see if it's similar xx
NillyDahlia hiiiiii I watch ur videos xx
