I was in Chernobyl one month ago. I've been exploring Pripyat & Duga radar also I was 200 meters away from 4 th reactor. It's was my best adventure ever. Highly recommending. ;)

I've stayed there twice lol. Apart from the homeless alcoholics sitting outside and the general feeling if you go out at night they will never find your body it was actually a nice hotel and quite cheap
Met the man of my dreams in Latvia. He now lives with me :D Riga's great, a really beautiful city. Lido is a must-visit, and yes the kvass there really is that awesome. Also Latvian garlic bread kicks the ass of any other kind of garlic bread.

If there is nothing there to attract foreign investment or just get businesses to come, which would attract other companies, which would bring money in the country. Boris, 0:57 wasn't real kvass, that was a kind-of kvass(don't know how to translate). There are only a few real kvass's around now.(Like ulmaņlaiku/maybe iļguciema). The 5th,6th kvass were real kvass but the 7th one was a kind-of kvass with honey. Also you've gotta spell shashlik in latvian, which is šašļiks - look that up, maybe in plural(šašļiki) and there are definitely some places with shaslik in them.

Western Spy ... Yes, he visited Riga and as you saw everything was mainly in english for tourists ... our countrys gdp is mainly based on tourism and Riga itself has very high tourism rates, so yes he is wrong

That is because of wealth in GB. Why would you choose to go to Latvia when you can go to Paris or Rome for example ... Latvia isn't that popular (hence you never heard about it) but still its kind of cheap vacation for those who arnt as wealthy. But at the end of the day it really comes to preferace of where people visit.
