You are wrong about the tourism . They need the tourist especially on Maui , it's their only source of income. There are no more agricultural. No pineapple farms , sugar cane etc.. the cannery was turned into a mall 🙄. They need tourism desperately , just not on the west side !!! The natives and locals are afraid they will lose their jobs. They have already lost homes and lives. Maui will rise from the ashes, with a lot of help from the public and private businesses. Forget about the government doing anything ! Incompetent. Chef , I applaud you and the others who provide food and shelter to the people of Lahaina effected by this tragic fire. ❤
