Learn How to Measure Rainfall

This video for students explains how we measure rainfall using a rain gauge.
We use length units to measure rain, as a measure of the average depth of water over the surface of the ground.
Appropriate units for this are inches and fractions of an inch, or millimetres in the metric system of measurement.
