Morning Jami - Our footwear live a life counted by steps. The most loved, look tired and worn by the end of their journey. Those specific boots have seen you through this year and like a good friend does, they have taken every step with you on your farm life journey, over a very uniquely unforgettable year. They definitely have heard words and seen tears that no else has. Now it’s time to step into new boots and start their journey of steps and see the journeys they will be there with you on. Shout out, To Suits And Her Brand New Shiny Boots! ☺️ Do hope your visit today goes smoothly and wishing you and all visiting your page today, a most wonderful Wednesday. 💕

My mom has been gone for over 10 years. I saved one shirt that she used to wear. I actually wore it quite a bit myself. It was one of my favorites. I don't wear it anymore but can't bring myself to get rid of it. We treasure things because we are connected to them somehow. Keep those boots Jami. Make a planter out of them or get them resoled. Either way you will still have them to treasure.

Remember those have gone through lost of loved ones, home, material things ect. Use a shield as to not get attached to a lot of things. Because the pain is to unbearable to Remember ❤I speak this from my Heart. I used to be very sentimental but when I lost my Loved Ones Things don't hold much meaning. 😪 You are Blessed and you have lost so much and been through so much and still have Sentiment 🙏

There are people who work on shoes who could put a whole new soul on those boots you’re just gonna have to look around to find them, but they are still professionals who know how to put new souls on those shoes and you don’t have to lose it just because you have the bottom one out you can replace that whole bottomof the boot

I have a pair of 3x mens sweat pants that were my Dad's, he passed in 2009. I still wear them. I have washed them over and over but in my head, I can still smell him. I know it's not possible, they smell like fresh laundry but I still smell him. A cat was "making biscuits" on my leg last year and made a hole with her claw, I cried my eyes out 😢. I immediately mended them and they are ok now. Strange to say, I feel comforted and strong in them, even just on my couch. I wore them thru through my separation and divorce, all of my emotional days, they give me strength. I know it's not the sweatpants, it's my subconscious. He taught me so many life trades, how to do carpentry, plumbing, change a flat tire, change my oil, check all fluids in the car. He always taught me to be strong and be reliant on my own self. I lost my Mom when I was 17. I have her robe ❤. I love this video more than you will ever know. Much love from St Louis

    So recognizable Jami.
I just had my first orthopedic shoes repaired for the 19th time this week. They are now 20 years old and still my best shoes ever.
They are no longer beautiful, but they are the shoes that I can walk with to some extent, despite the fact that I have been fitted with several shoes in recent years.
Unfortunately they are no longer for sale so I continue to take them to the cobbler every year.
I put it in my will that I want to leave this earth with these shoes on my feet, they mean that much to me.🧡🧡

I was the only one who they fit so i wore them until the soles wore out. He was a real COWBOY . HE WORE THEM WHEN HE BROKE HORSES... WORKED WITH HORSES.. SHOEING THEM... BATHING THEM... WRANGLING THEM. HE DID IT ALL. SO PROUD OF MY DADDY A LITTLE MAN WITH A BIG HEART. HE WORKED IN EAST TEXAS ON A LOT OF RANCHES.

Good morning Jami. I have a flannel shirt that my Dad use to wear all the time. I only wear it around the house but when I put it on the memories of him come flooding back. I know that his smell is long gone but it's the thought and memories of him being around. Last year when we bought our country property and I was staying here by myself because of the construction crew would show up at the crack of dawn to begin working I always had on the flannel shirt. It made me feel like I wasn't alone anymore. After 6 months of construction and several more months of cleaning and getting things ready we finally got moved. My husband asked why I hadn't bought a new flannel shirt. I told him nope this is going to be here and worn when I struggle. You can have the boots resoled but most likely it would cost just as much as buying a new pair. Plant some flowers in them and start a tradition of it. Line your garden and flower beds with your old boots. Heck line the driveway with them so you'll have all the memories to share with your children and anyone else you choose to share them with. I can't believe that in my 50's I chosen to start a farm and begin a new life. It's been a stressful long year of getting the property ready. But either today or tomorrow our first animals will be here on our farm. Wish my family luck, I have 2 adult children (disabled) and a 10 year old grandson that are along for the ride. 😂 Hubby has no idea what he's in for either! 🤣 Our grandson has Asperger's (autism) and knows everything about all the animals we're going to raise. I finally convinced him we can't get a dolphin or a penguin for our pond. 🤷🤦 Have a wonderful day! Much love from our family to your family 💞

#replay Jami 💓 that was so heart warning. My sweet BFF 💗 and I was crying to but it reminded me of my grandmother and a conversation she and I had not about shoes but her hands, she was always saying her hands were so ugly, so one day I asked her what all her hands had done and at this time she was 99 year's old and she started telling me and I told her after all the thousands of biscuits and meals she had cooked and all the children she had took care of and all the cotton she holed and picked and all the love and all the prayers that she had folded her hands and prayed that to me they are the most beautiful hands that I have ever seen. She lived to be 101 years old and I miss hearing her prayers. Thank you for reminding me of how much meaning that the small things matter, has small has a pair of Boots or a granddaughter's hands. Jami you are a special lady. Love y'all and God bless you and your family and all the animals and feather's 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

    Dear boots,
Our adventure started with a click of a button and a ride to my doorstep!! Our journey started when my feet touched your sole and then hit the ground creating miles of memories. You were with me through good times, sad times and happy times. Many happy hellos and a some sad goodbyes. We got dirty and we got muddy. We walked and walked and you were with me through rain, wind and even fire. Through stories told and some just between you and me, you were always right there!! Memories made and though you are wore out So, your journey is not over. So from one soul to another sole, I thank you!!!❤❤❤

I lost my sister from.brain cancer 3 years ago. She told me that before she passed that I get all of her clothes and shoes. Well we were the same shoe size and I wore her favorite sketches for years. I wore them on every trip and many regular days until the soles came off and the fabric was holy. In those shoes I took her to Nashville twice, and drove from Maine to Texas twice with all the stops in between. I did finally throw them away but after many years of use I felt I could stand on my own 2 feet. I was stronger now. She was my best friend, my confidant and Co worker and is terribly missed. I still have other pieces of clothing of hers but they don't mean the same thing. Hold onto those boots and you'll have those special memories to look back on for many years . ❤

I highly recommend Timberland boots for excellent support, waterproofing and
durability. You get what you pay for, in boots. I do have a pair of steel toed boots, from Walmart, and a pair of cowboy boots, heck, I have a bunch of boots. But my Timberlands are my forever boots. Every pair has a different purpose, but my black suede hikers with rubber souls have been my favorite, forever.

I have to say this really touched me this morning because ever since my heart failure two years ago, I had multiple strokes and ended up with compartment syndrome and drop foot. I have had numerous surgeries on my foot and I cannot get into my boots anymore I lived in those boots, and nobody understands what I’m going through because they are such a big part of me. I wore those to fish, to hunt, to hike to work outside in the garden to work outside with the animals. The boots were such a big part of who I am and I am no longer able to wear them which makes me not that person anymore and my heart has been shattered but everyone around me just thinks it’s silly and they don’t understand me at all. It is so depressing I sit in my house and cry because all I want is my foot to be back so I can get back to who I was. I cannot be that person in crocs and unfortunately that’s the only shoe that I can put on this deformed foot. I am afraid I will never be able to look cute or beautiful again. I am surrounded by all of these beautiful women, and I am no longer one of them and it shatters me. I feel like I’m never going to have my life back and every time I see someone in boots it is so painful because I used to be that girl and I miss her so much.

I had a 2007 Nesian Cube. It is the first "new" car I have ever owned. My husband bought it for me. We went on many small vacations when we could no go on our motorcycles. In 2017 it ended being the only possession I owned from the results of a house fire. That fire took my 2 precious cats and my wonderful husband. It was the most comfortable riding and driving car I have ever owned. I totaled it on the 5 year anniversary year of loosing my ride or die. I still think of that car every day so if you are crazy then welcome to my world. Jami I so enjoy you and your outlook. I followed you from day one and will till one of us is no longer around. You truly touch my life. Have a blessed day.

Jami, there maybe another reason that is making you even more emotional than your accustom to is known as menopause. It can intensive your emotions. You have had a lot happen especially this past year. It will eventually find its balance. Going thru the change affects each of us differently. My most notable symptom was the hot flashes. Being highly emotional for you may be your body’s release valve now. Stay strong all will balance out. You have your garden, horses, alpacas, and Lester (of course) to get you thru. With Love Always

Jami, I have a special item that has a lot of memories for me. It’s a Carhart long sleeve shirt that my late husband wore. I wear it every year when the weather is cold and it’s part of him so it’s starting to look a little worn but I still wear it….😢🙏

I have a pair of boots that I wore in college and walked along across the SIUC campus. The soles are wearing thin and unevenly, but I can't get rid of them. I may look at having them resoled because I love them so much.

When I found a boot or shoe that I really liked, I'd go get another pair and put in tge closet. ❤
I had a pair of boots that I got when I was 20, I loved those boots and I finally gave them away when I was 65. 😂
Only for the fact I wouldn't ever be able to wear them again. ❤😢

I know how you feel. My last car was hard to part with for all the memories and miles the car took me. From the eclipse in 2017, to hospital trips with my parents and the many early morning volunteer times. Those 117k miles, each one had a story.

Hey Jami, I think that you are looking at the boots as a reflection.. very healthy, I think.
Life is a funny thing, and I think that women are hmm. I don't want to say wise, but we remember what we went through in a time frame of having things.. whether it be a pair of boots or old ring etc.
Well done, Jami, for putting it out there.

Memories can come attached to some of the oddest things. When my grandfather was alive, I felt so important getting to help him tend to his boots. He taught me how to oil and buff them to nearly a glow. He didn't talk much, especially if the "womenfolk" were around, but if we were alone he would listen to me and we'd talk about how things were when he was growing up. This video made me think how scandalized he'd be to hear how rare it is now to find a cobbler to resole boots and shoes, and it made me smile. Keep those boots, Jami, and the memories tucked in them.

On a side note: if you put on new boots, u know how they just don’t live up to your old boots, we went on a cattle roundup vacation to North Dakota years ago and was told submerge your new boots in water trough, then empty them out, put them on and wear for the rest of the day, yes while they are wet and let them dry on your feet, then when you take them off that night, the next morning will feel like an old pair, that feel so good, my jaw dropped when they said put a brand new pair of boots in a water trough…but I tried it and it was worth it…just saying

I had to start wearing my "new boots" this week too. My old boots... the heal was wore down to be almost same level as the rest of the sole. My "new" boots are actually probably over 5 years old, I just never wore them since they were supposed to be my "town" boots.

Oh, it is sad to take those boots off and put on a new pair. You have walked through thick or thin good or bad . They could tell a story by their selves. 89 dollars isnt bad for a good pair of boots. Making a planter out of them is a great idea. My best friend planted flowers in hers. They turned out cute. I hope these new pair of boots will make great memories for you.❤

Good morning Jami and fur and feathered babies. Yes I do believe we ladies are more sentimental about items than men are. I think it would be a fantastic idea to make them into planters. The chapter's will continue and make new memories for the new boots. You upgraded from white Nikes to boots. You didn't see that happening 😅. Have a fantastic day 😊❤❤
