- We came across a hive we were letting requeen itself and found queens emerging from capped cells as we were doing our inspection. This is a video showing how we harvested the nearly emerging virgin queens.

Awesome video🐝 Can hear a virgin piping at 11:22 mark. Thanks for sharing!
Watching queens emerge never get old. Cool video to you two!
Thanks James. I agree watching them emerge is always cool.
I like the method of not picking up the workers. Ya make picking up bees to easy 😮!!!!
AMAZING, I have 4 hives and recently touched one of my queens. I am 68 and on and off had bees and never touched a queen.
@@8pumpkin18 thanks 😊
Good job Tom and Melissa. Always great to see how someone else does things. Thank you
Never seen that done before that is the most amazing thing I ever watched and beekeeping
Interesting 😊
Very good job brother ❤❤❤😊
@@TAEUSEA-g1o thanks
Cool video guys.
Very cool video.
@@KajunHomestead thanks 😊
Great video! Unless they start out picking older larvae, I would think that there could be up to a 4 or 5 day spread in the age of the queen cells if the old queen were still laying eggs the day she got squished or balled. Am I off base?
What I was thinking Steven. Looks like a bit of a roll of the dice.
What do you think would gappen if tou caged the immature queens and put them in nuc ? Seems to me that they woukd live.
@@10peteo that is what we do with them. We put them in candy cages and then place them in mating nucs. We have a pretty good success rate with being able to get queens mated.
Thats an amazing video 😮😊 there was someone that told me its usually best to grab girls that have their head in the cell as they have a stomach full of food to feed the queen. What is your opinion?
@@jasonseaward8506 yes I would agree with that. Thanks 😊
