God bless you! I am taking stats this term, and your videos have been so, so useful. You're clear, you're entertaining, and you make this material fun! I can't thank you enough.
I don't usually comment on videos. But zedstatistics has to be one of the best education RUclips channels I've seen. Across many different subjects and disciplines, this guy does it the best. I'm sure he could teach anything. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
Being tortured in a University somewhere in Melbourne which has decided to turn all 12 week units for ALL courses into 4 week full time blocks (block mode) - bloody ridiculous. To achieve this they have removed substantial amounts of material from each umit; students pass however they have received a subpar education. About to do the hardest 3rd year unit 'Research Methods' in this system - worse, the Laboratory Report need to be done and dusted at end of week 3 (so the tutors have time to mark it in week 4) so in other words each unit is effectively 3 weeks of dumbed down learning !!! Your website is very helpful refreshing my memory in preparation for a horrible July! Thanks mate.
Man I have always tried to make sense of statistics. Except AM, everything else was very unclear. After 25 years, I had a "that's what the book meant" moment.
The formula for calculating quartile for individual data is [k(n+1) ]/4 th observation and for grouped data (kn/4) (this is because we use the formula l+h/f(kn/4-cf) ) Why this difference? Can u please explain
not really needed but it helps you visually. e.g. before removing the median we have 2 2 5 6 9 10 13 and to find the quantile you'd have to split it half way but that would still look like 2_2_5 6 9_10_13 . If you remove the median you can properly see 2 2 5 and 9 10 13 hence helping you easier see the median for each half (which is actually the quantile) TL;DR Not mandatory to exclude median. It's over-the-top visual aid ~~~ OR ~~~ you need to exclude it when calculating the quantiles so that you don't count it in

Thanks a lot . So easy and simple to understand u deserve many subs ❤️
Excellent, thank you for explaining it so clearly
Hi Justin,
Thanks a lot for video!
You sure meet my learning style.
Your videos have saved me man ;)
Thanks mehn I was trying to cram this cuz my teacher dont know how to teach
What is its use; and interpretation?? How you interpret data with quarries? Please explain
Well done! much appreciated!

So what does Quantile mean?
Why do we need to exclude median when calculating quartiles?
not really needed but it helps you visually.

Does anybody know in what software those videos were made ? Is is Powerpoint presentation, but done very skilfully?
Third decile ratio means
the best
Thanks.

You are such an amazing tutor, only comparable to the legendary Eddie Woo (@misterwootube)
